Honestly, what I love so much about the bed scene from before is that they both don't know what to expect but they decide to figure this out together (omg that was so perfect I'm getting all teary-eyed). And in this I'm totally with Mayim that there shouldn't be this weird focus on whether or not Sheldon was "good in bed", no matter what people may or may not mean by that. The whole thing was framed as something of a mutual exploration of their physical intimacy and I think that is exactly what they did for those hours.

Yes, absolutely.  I loved everything about the bed scene, it was ALL so sweet and absolutely perfect.

And I loved that it was an almost exact parallel of this from 8.03:

Leonard: Marriage is scary. You’re scared, I’m scared. But it doesn’t make me not want to do it. It, it just makes me want to hold your hand and do it with you.

...

Amy: It would make me so happy if you said things like that.

What Leonard said was beautiful, and what Sheldon said was every bit as beautiful, and very much the same in meaning.

And, to draw another parallel, Sheldon saying this reminds me of Penny's response to Howard's amazing apology to Bernadette: "Oh my god Howard, that's the most beautiful thing I've ever heard...and it came out of you!"

Who would have though, 8.5 years ago (or, honestly, even during episode 8.03), that we would ever get something so beautiful from Sheldon?  Love, love, love this character development!!!

Your views are one of my faves to read. I am sometimes too blunt.[emoji4]

Thank you.  As I've mentioned before.  I don't mind opposing opinions.

I don't like upsetting people or killing happy moods because I express myself. I always feel the need to apologize for another's reaction to the disagreement, not the disagreement itself.

Regarding the rude poster, even with that one I try to be polite and lighten the mood, but sometimes people want to be grumps if they can't get others to come to their POV instead of respecting others' different perspective.

I'm loving all the positive views about Sheldon's actions last night & the new interviews that have come out.   I loved the episode and all the Sheldon moments, but I now feel more confident that he did want it for himself,  which I didn't feel at first viewing.

Sometimes I go in with too much expectation.  I get nervous because I do write FF, and my portrayal of him might be a little off, based on my perceptions as much as I try to keep him IC.

Understand totally. Everyone has something to contribute. I may not agree with all opinions but I try to be accepting. I just hate recycling the same subject over and over because a select few feel upset that others don't agree and take it personal.

Keep posting Jen. After the holidays I hope to get back to my BBT fanfiction

Isn't it just perfect , sweet and sexy all rolled into one ! :)

thanks for finding the gif and posting it MAH_B

I can't get over Sheldon's pectoral muscles behind his white tshirt when he lifts himself up to give Amy his full attention.   We never get to see this from him.    I think I am going to put something in my FF about him doing push ups or something for health or to prepare for what he's about to do.   No one who sits/stands around reading comic books, making formulas, playing video games, and watching movies should look so solid.

I was struck by his wide chest in the opening scene when Sheldon falls to his knees to pray.  His muscular form is quite distracting in those t-shirts.

That sounds ominous.

I'm not too worried. Sheldon's a very practical character and PP was his sub-conscious. Sheldon had already experienced a life without Amy for those 6 months. That could have been his reminder that life goes by too fast and sometimes we only have that one chance to get things right.

Besides I think the writers know what will happen with the Shamy fans if they mess with the Shamy again...

I loved, loved this review:

It's the biggest moment, character-development-wise, in the show's history: bigger than when Howard and Bernadette got married, bigger than when Howard's mom died, bigger than Penny and Leonard's marriage, and bigger than a potential a Shamy marriage. This seemed like it might never occur.

Yes, the guy has been working out as hell, I guess...But I like that the writers decided to keep JP and Sheldon quite separate in this episode; it would have been easy to make a scene like Amy's FF on this occasion. I'm not a big fan of that scene, TBH, since as a matter of fact it seems made to show JP muscles; now, don't get me wrong, always happy to see them, so I won't complain, but it was something so strange for Sheldon. Instead, even in the final part of this episode with them naked in bed,  the writers decided to not expose more flesh that needed, they just wanted to show how comfortable and happy the both of them are. It felt right to me...

I need to watch this scene again, even though I've seen countless clips.

I was thinking he looked a little "moob"-ish (man boobs), rather than as muscular as I expected him to be, since I know he's been working out.  Maybe it was just the angle.

Seems to require more...ahem...research.  And close scrutiny...

That's the beauty of fanfiction. The characters can be whatever you want them to be.

As I've been advised, by several FMs (you guys know who you are :) ), write the story you want to write.
