Slight change of subject, Star Wars became the biggest premiere of history. Disney's president, Bob Iger, made this statment today about it (12/21):

When Sheldon kneels to pray, what is that on his desk?  It looks like a tortoise shell, but I want to think that it's a pelvis model.

Once my cousin and her boyfriend were watching tv at bed. Her boyfriend fell asleep and start spooning with my cousin. By the morning, she was all excited and bragging herself, talking that her man got a hard on her at the middle of the night. 
Later that day, she found out that the tv remote control which was resting on his stomach fell to the side when he slept and got stuck between them. That was what was poking her back. They had a huge fight because of it at that day.

i just tried to think of the date today.  Instead of thinking of the fact that Christmas is Friday the 25th and counting back, I thought of the fact that Shamy lovemaking was Thursday the 17th and counted forward.

It was a drunk fight. But I clearly remember of her yelling that if he couldn't feel anything even with her rubbing her ass in his pants, he should cut off his junk. The poor boy had a big poker innocent face.

Later he was crying saying that he thought that she was trying to kick him out of bed to get more space.

Yeah, I looked again from another angle (image) and it's probably a turtle shell indeed. If he bought Giuseppe, he's probably dead. Or not! Schrödinger's turtle! (man if he is dead Sheldon was an awful father )
And Gollum continues to keep Sheldon's secret...kinda secret now. But until when?

It's an animal skull of some description, you cans see that it has fangs and it has appeared in a number of episodes.

A turtle shell has a skull but is not a skull.

For the ones who were disappointed of the after coitus look because you felt it was indifferent:
I want to remind you of the line about Spock and Sheldon "he might act like he had no emotions but [] you have feelings just like everybody else". That Sheldon tries to suppress emotions (but fails - he can't just shut his feelings off) is on another page. What I want to point out is, that he will never express his feelings like the average person, he will always show only the tip of the iceberg. You can't compare his after coitus reaction to an average person's one, you can assume he shows a tiny smile and has very intense feelings the same time. This is typical for Sheldon and it'll never change.

I suppose the blinking expresses that he is in a very emotional state. He does it before Amy breaks up with him when he wants to fix the relationship and after the conversation when he is turned down. If you judge him like anyone else you wouldn't guess what's going on inside of him only from his subtle facial expressions.  

Maybe he realised during the make out session that he's ready for the next step. Who knows what he felt? He is definitely not asexual, he clearly wants more than friendship, he's so unaware of all this that he needs an earworm and PP to identify it. I buy it that he does it because he wants it and doesn't do it only for her sake.

I think cuddling after coitus would have been OOC, because I myself don't like it. And I am way more comfortable with physical contact than Sheldon is. And Amy was capable being in a relationship with little physical contact so far, she wanted more, but if she needed as much as the average person she couldn't have been with him for years. So in the longterm run the intimacy they have will be what they need.

Someone mentioned that they used a better camera angle in the ET interview than in the episode. I totally agree on that. Usually I'm a big fan of leaving things to the imagination instead of showing everything but in this case I admit I'd prefer a camera angle from the side where Amys head hides less (this also applies to the heartworm make out sessions).

I have been speculating on that a little myself. Usually with screen kisses the point is to show the kiss but here I agree they seems to shoot at an angle where Amy's head or Sheldon's shoulder seems to be in the way much of the time.  I wonder if it's because they are trying to show French kissing and it's tricky to get that right if they are not actually French kissing (which seems to be the case with all the characters kisses on BBT as its a prime time sitcom and a certain amount of decorum needs to be maintained? Apart from that gorgeous lime kiss of lenny's which of course was part of a gag). The 2nd kiss in Earworm did manage to convey that well but as there seems to be a decision to depict long lingering make out style kisses with Shamy at the moment, perhaps it's easier to obscure the view and leave something to the imagination . Also at a character level they are still possibly developing their technique and if memory serves I think teenagers French kiss with a more glued on look about them which may be inexperience and maybe what they are going for here.
