Mmm....my Shamy wish list:

• Dinners in 4A: As many of you said, finally a dinner (or more dinners) with the whole gang, with Shamy saying something (which may or may not be related with their sex life) that makes everybody uncomfortable, because, you know...that's their thing!!! Or a group episode in which they have to team up for a game...
• Display of affection: Even if 9.12 has not aired yet, I like very much the interaction between them in that episode, as it was told us; they seems more affectionate, Amy is not afraid to express her feelings (in Season 8 so many times it looked like to me she restrained herself, even in saying "sweet stuff"  since Sheldon was at flight risk) and Sheldon is more open to be romantic, in his own way; I'd like it to continue, with them being in the same room  this time! 
• Living arrangements: I hope that this will be the next "big" thing to be fixed by the writers (in the 200th episode?) and I really hope until the end of the season to have the 2 couples living in 4A-4B. Well...that's a lie in a way; I mean, I know that, as long as the production doesn't decide to change the permanent sets (and, up to now, nothing indicates they want to change them), it's inevitable the main three (and eventually Amy) will live in 4A-4B. But, since it is a wish list and not all wishes are meant to come true, I would like Sheldon at some point  to move in with Amy at her place. It is the place where most of their milestones happened, and it is the only place in the world where Sheldon doesn't  need a "spot"...From the first time (back in Season 4) he went there, he felt comfortable in it, he never chose a spot on the couch (in fact, even if he prefers the left side of it, in many occasions he sat on the right side) and also in the bed...It would be something unexpected (since everybody knows that Sheldon will live in 4A) and sweet. A girl can dream, right?
• Engagement: writers, dazzle me!

Happy holidays to everyone! It's been busy lately so I wasn't around but I saw something about Shamy resolutions so I thought I should join in! Actually there is one thing I reallyyyy want to happen and that is Shamy working together! If that happens I will be the happiest shipper ever!! Also I would love to see Amy and Penny in 4a having breakfast in their pjs!!

It seems that the right side (or the left if you are standing in front of the bed ) is his side. At least when he is not lying in the middle of the bed he tends to shift to the right. E.g. when he called Amy after PPs visit in 9.11 he was lying on the right side. And in 7.20 when he is waking up next to the Geology book, he is also on the right. Okay, he was pretty drunk then, but since he called Stephen Hawking several times that night we can be sure that he was still awake when Amy left, so somehow he ended up on this side of the bed on his own. 

So...is this a revelation that will change the world? No, but it is convenient to know they won't have to argue about who sleeps on which side of the bed once they move in together. Perfect, now I can relax for the rest of 2015...

On a related topic, don't you think guys that Sheldon's bed is really too small for the two of them? Actually, it's too small and short for Sheldon alone, it looks like his feet are out of it when he lays down...Well, the silver lining is they will have to cuddle when they spend the night together there...

I was always so puzzled by his tiny bed. Not necessary in terms of width because he was single and never planned to share it with anyone. (And hey, if Amy stays over you can always deal with a narrow bed by having them cuddle! It's certainly big enough for that.) But it's just so short! And it's not like he's a 2 meter guy like Dave or whatever. Why doesn't he have a normal sized bed?!?? LOL (Is that a US thing? Is that a TV thing???)

That convenient, since we know Amy sleeps on the left.

Examples include:-

The Decoupling Fluctuation - When Penny rings Amy, to shout at her, for telling Sheldon, Amy is sleeping on the left side of the bed.

Opening Night Excitation - When Sheldon phones Amy, to tell her he's decided to spend her birthday with her, Amy is sleeping on the left side of the bed.

I wonder if men on the right, women on the left, is the majority situation?

I don't think so. Judging by this video, there's room for another person to squeeze in on either side, so I would think it would be comfortably wide enough for two people.

it looks like a standard, double bed, and, IMO, no narrower than Amy's bed.

For that matter, did it ever look like a waterbed?? I highly doubt they would have one on set cause that sounds like too much of a hassle. It's probably just one of those throwaway jokes.

I thought it was normal that Sheldon chose the right side of Amy's bed because that is where he normally sleeps when he is not in the middle of his own.   He could also probably tell by the indentation in the mattress that Amy gravitates to the left side.   Nonetheless, Sheldon seems to prefer to exit the bed from the left side.  This is indicated by his flipping up the blankets to go urinate in Earworm and his slippers sitting on the floor during the PP dream in Excitation.  He's going to have to make an adjustment to start exiting from the right or climb over top of Amy when he wants to get out of the bed.

Regarding Sheldon's sleeping habits, something has come to my attention:

Sheldon has always been methodical about sleeping rigidly on his back with his arms at his side.  Medical experts claim this is an indicator of a rigid personality governed by order, perhaps setting a high standard for his self.

Up until this season, Sheldon from what I recall, has only been shown sleeping on his side in his bed once when PP died and he was coming to terms with it, and even then it was a nap.

This season, Sheldon has been shown sleeping on his side, which indicates he's doing more thinking and worrying about things, which is obvious by his recent visits from his PP conscious.

I don't know if this is all on purpose or not, but it does seem the writers do more research then we give them credit for regarding showing minor changes to Sheldon's emotional behavior for those of us who choose to study the episodes enough to catch it.

Another thing I've noticed is that Sheldon has become a lot more fidgety with his hands when he sits.

So i've finally watched 9x10 & 9x11 with my best friend. She's completely unspoiled (except for my reactions after TRs, which give out A LOT lol, but i tried to contain myself and also she was busy those days so i don't think she remembered how happy i was in november) and she likes tbbt and shamy but she's not a hardcore shipper and doesn't wait for each single episode, she prefers to binge watch. 

So she hasn't seen any new episode since 9x4, but we didn't have much time so i was like 'ok let's skip the 5th', and we watched 9x6 and 9x7 and when Sheldon went to propose to Amy she was so excited, but then that soap opera moment and she was so sad for Sheldon... I just remembered that day of the TR when i felt exactly the same, i woke up, opened this thread and the first line i came across was 'SHELDON GOES TO PROPOSE TO AMY' and i literally felt like my heart stopped, only to read the second line right after that 'then he sees her kissing another guy and walks away'. : (

So then we figured she'd have to go in an hour , so she suggested maybe we just watch 1or 2 more episodes, and i was starting to panic because i am SO tired of holding back my reactions to 9x10 and 9x11 lol, but i was trying to figure out how to convince her to stay without giving out the urgency and that those episodes are a big deal...
So i was trying to sound casual and just say that it would be really a good closure to watch all of the aired episodes, because who knows when we're gonna have time again (she's going traveling soon, and after that i'm going traveling). And i can't wait till February!

So we skipped 9x8 and were watching 9x9...... And she was completely heartbroken for Amy in the end, it was so cute. Then 9x10 started and i was trying to be really cool and not to give anything out lol. Once Sheldon figured out the song was about Amy and have rushed out the door she was like 'noooooo'. She was sure it was gonna be the end of Spock Resonance all over again, he'd just see Dave and leave. She could not have imagined he'd stay, let alone anything else. Which made me think once again, how much he's grown!! I (personally) got kinda used to it in the last few weeks, and i keep forgetting how he was before, and kind of take it for granted now! well, sometimes. So anyway, it was so cute, all these last few months she didn't quite understand my level of shippering and addiction, but once he said 'Good. because i love you' she was screaming and freaking out like all of us while hearing the TR, and it was so cool! : D  My heart started beating so fast like i was watching it for the first time lol. And the kissing went on and on , and we were freaking out together about how cool it is that they're kissing LIKE THAT now, hugging and just being passionate....

When 9x11 started i was really cool cause i figured she'd think like most people, that nothing big is gonna happen. And then when Sheldon said 'have coitus with her' she wasn't even freaking out. I think she was sure it was not serious. Then after 'decided then... Amy's birthday present will be my genitals' she started freaking out cause she thought he might be serious. But until the end she thought it was gonna be a 50/50 chance of them doing it /smth getting in the way. It was just so cute to watch her watch all of the shamy scenes being unspoiled... Then when he was already in her apartment she still couldn't believe. She was like 'damnnnn, i so need a spoiler, but at the same time i don't want one '. And then, when Amy went to the bedroom ,  i guess she realized it was happening, and we were just shaking and screaming. And when Amy was telling how she's nervous, she was like 'god, i'm worried about them more than about my own love life!', and i thought - finallly, now she understands how i've been feeling for months!! So anyway, more fangirling reactions from us as the kiss fade away, and then the after scene... I think she kind of couldn't believe it. And she told me she thought the 'next year' line was a typical sheldony reaction/joke, and not to worry about it... Which has made me happy. Cause i've had a hard time  not taking it seriously. And of course the end , and Sheldon's obliviousness was priceless.

Anyway, the point of this long post is that i got a little taste of how it is to watch the episode unspoiled, and all of the exciliration and excitement.. Now i'm kind of glad we don't have detailed TRs for 9x12 and 9x13, and i think i'm not even gonna watch sneak peeks or promos, and just enjoy those cute moments for the first time in the episodes when they air...

And i'm so happy... Perfect Sunday!!

I was just discussing this on facebook recently that I only noticed within the last two seasons that Sheldon seems to be too tall for his bed. LOL! I was like, "Didn't he used to fit in it?" Haha. Yeah, it's a "we need room for the camera's thing" I guess. Apparently Sheldon's bedroom set isn't very big since he gets a bed that's too short. LOL.

This is very interesting...I think that in the early seasons the way Sheldon slept was considered kind of a joke, he was at the center of the bed with the covers tight to his body, he really looked like a vampire in his coffin (maybe Penny used just those words....), I remember some times when the audience laughed just for seeing him in his bed. Now the character has been softened a big deal,  so maybe this reflects even in some of his quirks and it's amazing that the actor, the writers and the director take care also of these tiny details...Anyway, for sure his way of sleeping needs to change for good now, at least he has to choose just one side in his bed and leave the other to Amy!!! LOL!!

Actually in America, a standard Twin or Double bed is 75" long.  Jim is 6'2" which converts to 74" tall.  If he is not laying with his head at the very top of the mattress his feet would hang out.

My son is 6'1", he always buys what is know as a Twin-XL.  Those beds are 80" long.

Well, that's an interesting fact - I had no idea! Beds here have a standard length of 2 meters (Idk how to convert that on the spot - it's about Stephen Merchant's height lol). Fascinating!
