Anyone have any suggestions on some good Shamy fanfiction?  It is 48 degrees below zero here and I need some Shamy goodness to get me through a couple more days of this crazy cold weather!

A Chiropodist are similar to a podiatrists, but chiropodist require less learning in Ontario, Canada. Not sure if that's the same for the UK or the rest of Canada.

In UK a podiatrist is a doctor so the training period would be six years plus however much time is required to learn the speciality. ' iatr' in a word is Greek for doctor so in UK  an iatrist or an iatrician of any kind is a specialist doctor. 

You're right,the training for a chiropodist is much shorter. I think it's between one and three years, depending on what previous medical qualifications he or she has. Looks as though Canada is the same as the UK.

Indeed it is. The British are known for eccentricity. The government won't spend money on doctors for anything someone a lot cheaper can do.  

That's very practical, but this 'a lot cheaper' sometimes means a really bad service. That's why we rather pay for an expansive visit to the doctor here. We believe that in 80% of the cases the paid doctor will make a better service -and it really happens. Despite we have a free public health system, it isn't very good at all. If you have something really serious, you can't depend on them, otherwise, you'll certainly die.

President Siebert (does he still run the place??!) throws a party and Lenny move out over the summer. Cue S10 premiere with Amy and Sheldon returning together. When they enter 4A it's half empty! [dramatic music]

Just to throw some ideas out.

I like the first idea. But please, no drama, April! We suffered a lot for 10 episodes (11 if you coun' the season 8 finale and 12 if you count the hiatus as a big-desperating-overwhelming-mindblowing-suffocating-full-of-wishful-thinking-and-pessimism episode to the fans). It was too much trauma.
But yeah, the finale might be about living arrangements, engagement or something related to Bernie's pregnancy (something I wouldn't expect but it can happen, why not?).

Hey, I said "minor drama" for a reason! lol But mostly it would be a story line about them dealing with possible career changes and planning their future together, to quote Amy from the Mars episode. I really would love to see that kind of plot for them, especially if it involves Amy's career cause as @wowbagger said earlier in the thread it would be nice to see her commitment to Sheldon put to the test but at the same time she's valuing her career so there's a nice story conflict for her character. It would be great to see them deal with these challenges as a couple that go beyond Sheldon's personal issues. And a summer hiatus trip is long enough to make it somewhat meaningful, but short enough to not affect the show's DNA since most of that would be happening off-screen anyway.

But as said, that's just me having some fun with this idea cause right now we don't seem to have much else to do here. I'm not sure how likely this particular idea will be, probably not much.

Have you read Science of Love? It's very good and lengthy. Concession is awesome. I think it's my favorite. Also anything by hazelra7. She rocks!

I'd like for them to continue this way for the rest of the season. Sheldon is more open to express his feelings in his own quirky way, Amy is more open to accept him and she is assertive in the relationship. As for the "big" stuff, engagement or living arrangements, I'm not sure they will arrive this season. I hope, anyway, that the times of "pushing" and "frustrated" Amy are gone, so I hope Amy will not be disappointed by Sheldon taking his time to make up his mind, she now appears to be truly happy, and that's how I want her to be.

I would like to see them together in their work environment or date nights being happy...I would also like their sex life to be explored more than just a few vague references here and there. I think that all the added touching and the more relaxed body language might lead up to a scene in one of the last episodes of the season.

Now, even though I don't quite understand exactly why L and P haven't moved out across the hall yet, IMO that will happen when Bernadette has her baby and it will start them thinking about their own future (I don't thing living arrangements will be adressed in a season finale).

Maybe we will see an engagement in the season finale, but I have a feeling that since Amy already knows about the ring and the surprise is gone, maybe the proposal will be entangled with another plotline to make it more interesting...That's all I've got.

Something silly related to St. Patrick's Day! 

Nothing heavy for the rest of the season, light fun. Let's see how date night has changed maybe, keep it simple.

im actually good with developing the other character plots since season 9 has been Shamy heavy with the drama. Whatever they have Shamy doing I want to see them continuing to be a union with an "us against the world" partnership

I'm starting to have a hard time coming up with wishes without resorting to my personal bag of favourite fanfic tropes because the show is already working down my list with regards to everything else and finding ingenious ways to make me happy. Like, Idk how often I've written in the past months that I'd watch the hell out of "The Amy Show" - fast forward to last week and Sheldon announces the new internet show "Dr. Amy Farrah Fowler present... with." LMAO I know I'm easily amused but stuff like that cracks me up like nothing else!

Overall I really appreciate how things have worked out between the two of them and I wouldn't mind have them just continue in their current Shamy 2.0 bliss. So what's really left except the big two elephants in the room, meaning the engagement and living arrangements? It's really just the simple things, I guess, like general domestic stuff showing off their new level of comfortableness. Sleepovers would be a really nice treat! And the breakfast next morning. Obviously I wouldn't object to more make-outs complete with ~one thing leads to another~ since the show is teasing us about that already anyway. As said in my earlier posts, I wouldn't mind something work-related coming up for Amy - even if it's just her working in her lab in some way. I also wouldn't object if there were some more trials and tribulations coming up for the two as long as it's not a conflict between them but something external that has them facing the problem together as couple.

But yeah, as long as they're happy I'm happy! <3

I really just want them to be goofy dorks in love doing goofy science things and sometimes serious science things together while being a couple without the pressure and stress of everything that's happened. And maybe them doing things that are traditionally domestic in their non-traditional ways (until perhaps it's a year later and whoops we're accidentally living together now and also we've got these mice because you guys are terrible tests subjects and we named them Eve and Irene).

 

ETA: IDK I don't want Amy to propose because I don't think it would be handled well in light of their past. That's really the one thing I personally don't want.

You know your ship is doing well when you're having a hard time making a wishlist.. We've already gotten so much: a hot make-out, coitus, both of them saying beautiful things to each other, casual touching, FWF, drunk Sheldon, flirty Amy, kinda flirty Sheldon, Amy enjoying the "girl talk". But let's see, I'm sure I can think of something, I'm a greedy shipper after all.

• A casual goodbye/hello kiss in front of the gang. I've said it before and I'll keep saying it till we get one. And I guess I wouldn't object a proper make out session which leads them slamming the bedroom door close behind them.. 
• A sleepover. And I only need like little glimpses of it here and there. Them brushing teeth together, having breakfast together. Of course I'm not going to complain if we'll get more than just glimpses!
• Something work related for both of them

These are all little things. I'd love to get the engagement and changed living arrangements this season, but with all the big stuff that has already happened, we might not get those. Although I wouldn't be too surprised if they'd get engaged in the next episode or something. All in all I just want them to be happy and on the same page with each other. More of this Shamy against the world than Shamy against each other. I've enjoyed them so much after their reconciliation and I hope that the writers will let them continue being happy. So even if we wouldn't get anything big for them for the rest of the season, I'll be fine with this quirky, happy, crazy in love Shamy.
