I would love to have a confirmation that the cat is alive and doing "wild things".

On the other hand there´s a little voice inside of me, that wishes that they only had done it on Amy´s birthday, so that we get to see how Sheldon´s urges slowly awaken. Little details, like a deeper voice when he speaks to her and strange dreams he has.

Imagine he dreams of atoms floating in the atmosphere. Then suddenly the atoms materialize into Amy who spreads out her arms towards him, her mouth half open, whispering his name. And in the next moment you see Sheldon who wakes up, gasping heavily: "Not again!"

This was indeed a tribute to Sheldon...I don't really mind though 

I liked the tie scene, I agree that it doesn't reveal anything about their sex life. Whether it's revealed in the future that they've done it again or not, to me Amy wasn't pushy, she was just flirty and playful. The speech was also very nice and Sheldon was very touched by it, and that's what matters.

I think Sheldon's scene with Penny was sweet and if you factor in the hug it makes it more obvious that this was a tribute to Sheldon and the beginnings of the show. Sheldon has changed for the better and that involves not only Amy but others too...

I'm very curious to see what will happen with S and A in the rest of the season. I think that their sex life will have to be dealt with eventually, in a definite way and it doesn't make sense for it to happen in the next season. It barely makes sense that they haven't addressed it for so long. But I guess I understand why - they need to make room for the other relationships, too.

I don't know what else to say...It was a touching episode, even though it felt badly edited...again. Oh, and when Amy isn't in a scene alone with Sheldon Mayim's acting bothers me, which I find interesting...Maybe she only feels comfortable enough with Jim?

Also, about S and A touching, etc...TPTB know very well how much a huge portion of the viewers wants to see them do this stuff...If you notice, they don't just have them kiss whenever the mood strikes them, everytime it has a plot purpose and is special and an obvious progression of the last time they did. They're very careful with how they treat this couple, and even if it sometimes looks like they're doing them wrong, I think that for the most part they're not (and it's natural to stumble a bit occasionally)...

I think we should just be patient because I have a feeling in one of the last eps of the season they're going to indulge us and finally lay to rest the age-old Schrondiger question. :D

That would be fun. I would really love to see Sheldon react to very non-traditional things as sexy.  Like instead of being turned on because Amy is dressed up, or scantily clad, he gets aroused when she cites the digits of Pi, or solves logic puzzles, or something.

Was a funny episode, but I still have the feeling the end was somehow strange, as if there was something missing. Maybe just my feeling.

But otherwise: No complaints! Yes, it was a Shenny bonding episode, so what? They are close friends, I don't have any problems with that. The hug was cute but far from anything romantic. That's exactly the kind of hug I give close friends (male or female) on their birthdays. Most of the time combined with a little kiss on the cheek. Again, not worried at all.

What I loved apart from everything else was: the living arrangements have been addessed! And by Leslie Winkle of all people! 'I thought you'd be living with Sheldon forever' - and then Leonard's face! LOL, just great!

Yes, agree, there could have been more Shamy, but we already got a lot this season, and I'm sure we will get more. Amy is the most important but not the only person in Sheldon's life, so there will always be interaction with the other characters. This interaction might well include a hug or a personal talk - nothing to worry about. As long as he doesn't get down on one knee and proposes to Penny (or Leonard, or Bernie, or Raj, or Howard, or Emily) - fine with me. I'm confident: Romance and coitus is reserved for Amy, and her alone!

I was actually glad that this episode focused more on the Sheldon/Penny and Sheldon/Leonard friendships. This season was lacking in that department because it's been so focused on Sheldon's love life.

I want to know what Sheldon had decided Amy owed him big time. A super-quiet wedding ? No fuss, no brother as best man, no bridesmaids, no hired suit, no difficult relatives, just his favourite cake and one speech.

I loved the episode... Sheldon and Penny scenes - I was really really touched... I cried when she said she would've tortured him too. 
I agree with whoever said they were the highlight of the episode, and i thought it was a beautiful highlight.

I don't need any important/touching moment in Sheldon's life to be ONLY about Amy. I think that would  be unhealthy. I am so happy he's turning into a regular human being with emotions, feelings, affection/care for people close to him and that beside Amy he also loves Penny and Leonard and they care about him so much too. I thought it was touching and sweet that a person like Penny says now that he's one of her favorite people and means it .. Because it is true how different they are, and that in his childhood it was people like her who disliked him, but now she can see how great of a person he is... Anyway, long story short i'm still almost crying in all of their moments.

Loved all the little Shamy scenes.. Idk why, but the scene where she helped him get dressed kinda touched me even more than the 'greatest gift' scene... They just seemed really close and on the same vibe... Like understanding each other effortlessly (except for Sheldon being oblivious what birthday suit means). Amy not being annoyed about Sheldon wanting to tell people they're decorating for his birthday wrong, and how she finds a way for him to not worry about it... Amy looking like she's having a stroke when she realizes probably no sexy time for them that night! Haha I just love this.
And just in general, I am just really happy for them. They look like two people very much in love in a very healthy normal relationship and it just makes me so happy

Loved hearing Leonard say Sheldon's like a brother to him... There have been so many 'Leonard barely tolerating Sheldon' moments this season that made me really wonder why they are even friends ?! But when he says it like that it makes more sense. You love your family no matter how much they frustrate you.

And the Stephen Hawking moment on skype, i loved it so much already from the TR, but i think it was even more touching in the episode!
And I don't get the worries about the hug, someone said it should have been Amy, well, she was holding the laptop with one of Sheldon's greatest birthday presents ever at that moment. I would say she was doing a more important thing. Had Penny and Amy changed roles and Penny was giving Sheldon Stephen Hawking on skype wishing him Happy Birthday, I'm sure there would be people who'd be like 'why is Amy only hugging him, while Penny is giving him Stephen Hawking on the phone?! The writers are builing up Shenny!' : )

I bet you anything if the roles were reversed there would have been at least one person writing long rants about how ~Amy doesn't get Sheldon the way Penny does because Sheldon doesn't even like hugs - but Penny reaching out to his hero to wish him happy birthday shows how the writers clearly think she's a better match for him than Amy!!111~~ LMAO

Well, the Shamy coitus in 9.11 took place in Amy's bedroom, so, if they've done it in Sheldon's bedroom too, then they've definitely done it since Amy's birthday.

yaaassssss! some people forget it's actually okay to have friendships ("relationships" *gasp* that word scares people lol) outside of their SO -- plus penny's a friend of BOTH Sheldon and Amy! annnnnd she's the wife of his roommate/bff! it's not like it's some work friend that Amy is uncomfortable with! ugh, so sick of the romantic Shenny paranoia... it cheapens the Shenny friendship moments

exactly! and Penny asked for the hug! it wasn't like Sheldon fell into her arms and thanked her for the party or even acknowledged their years of friendship! 

if it were Amy people would say "Sheldon should've initiated the hug!" and "she didn't even give him a toast, she just asked for a hug!"

Penny hugged/comforted Raj in the valentines episode

penny ran up to Howard and hugged him when she found out about Bernie's pregnancy.

Penny's a hugger. She's not in love with all these guys lol

I'd love it if Sheldon had as many friends/people he cares about in his life as possible - male/female w/e - and that he could hug them & enjoy normal human warmth and whatnot...

I know it's not gonna happen anyway , it's already a huge step he's so open with Lenny. But for me personally, that would  make me happy. To me it'd be growth if he were affectionate towards more people, it wouldn't take away anything from the Shamy relationship, on the contrary, I would take it as a proof Amy's love has  truly helped him grow.

And I think it is normal for anyone to have close friendships aside from their significant others... And to share some things with friends that you wouldn't share with your SO! 
Amy's shared quite a lot with Penny/Bernadette that she hasn't shared with Sheldon... Like, WAY more than what Sheldon has shared with Penny but not Amy. Yet no one's threatened by PAmy (and despite many many of Amy's bi comments towards Penny))), yet when it's a Shenny moment all hell breaks loose!

And some things you are just kinda supposed to share only with friends! Like, Sheldon's offscreen talk with Penny in 9x11 where she gave him pointers to make his sex with Amy memorable and sweet. It's not like he could have talked about it with Amy! Or with Penny for that matter, if he hasn't developed close friendship with her over the years.

I think it's because Jim and Kaley have great chemistry with each other. Kaley and Mayim not so much.

I think it depends on what they all mean by 'pants'. in the American sense aren't 'pants' just trousers ? In that case didn't we see Sheldon drop them farce-style when he was demonstrating humour to Amy ? Amy herself never wears trousers so in one way she's always without them, as has been pointed out already.

On the other hand, if they mean 'without pants' in the sense we use most often here across the pond ........
