It sounds like a lovely episode. I liked that. Even the way Sheldon acts with his laptop, I do the same thing with mine. Does anybody knows what is the other storyline?

Just saw this and I'm sure you've all seen it but OMG they are so cute. They way they speak, I can't tell if it's Jim&Mayim or Sheldon&Amy.

I was hesitating whether or not going to the Paleyfest. After watching this I'm definitely going hahaha.

Hmmm....

Well I for one hope they dont stick with it being an annual event, Sheldon said he enjoyed sex. By making it something linked to Amy's birthday every year and nothing more harkens to the old Sheldon who grudgingly did things (and no one wants THAT). 

If they indeed enjoyed the act with one another then at some point (randomly i hope) they should be revisiting the bedroom. To make it merely a birthday gift for Amy makes a mockery out of the "growth" and so called "awakening" of our boy Sheldon.

Personally I think Molaro is just stringing it along. Itll happen eventually and not on Amys birthday.

They are wearing Amy and Sheldon clothes so I'd say it's Amy and Sheldon rather that Jim and Mayim.

Agree...why diminish a story you spent so long to create.   They are just milking as much as they can out of the first time, but they will have to revisit it before her next birthday.   It would be ridiculous and no one would buy that he cares or enjoys it otherwise.

It's Jim and Mayim....this must have been recorded during the dress rehearsal or taping of the 200th episode, they're in costume.

Sheldon wouldn't say "thanks for being a fan of The Big Bang Theory".

Since these characters exist in the writers' minds, if he says it was just the once, I can't find a logical way to deny that; however, I hope it's because they intend to make the second time an event and not because they intend to keep Sheldon disinterested in sex forever.  

I was okay with him never having sex, but now that he has done it and enjoyed it, it's silly to me that they wouldn't do it more often, even if he still doesn't have conventional urges.  He said he liked it, so why not do something you enjoy, even if not stirred to do so, knowing Amy would like to more often.   Like, I have never once in my life had a desire to eat at Olive Garden, but when someone I care about wants to go, I go and I like it.  

I'm not sure what they could do at this point to change it.  If having sex didn't change Sheldon's feelings on sex, what could?  I'm a little saddened by this, but Amy is clearly on board with their system, so I'll live.  

Also, I was almost late to something really important tonight because ShAmy's first date was on and I couldn't walk away.

I was quite sure that Sheldon and Amy hadn't had sex again since her birthday. I'd have loved it if he couldn't take his hands off her, but I guess I'll have to satisfy that craving with fanfiction.

Lorre said in an interview that it would be interesting to see if Sheldon could keep sex as a part of his life and not let it become a dominating element, and I think there's endless possibilities for the writers to play with that idea. They could come up with some very funny and sweet episodes where we see him struggle with his newfound urges. They've surprised us many times with unexpected plots and twists, but I really don't think Sheldon's going to be able to wait until Amy's next birthday.

I'd love to see Sheldon getting excited when Amy does or says something brilliant... he tries to control his amorous urges, but his desire for her is too overpowering ('Oh, Amy, your equations make me feel all tingly! Come here, little vixen!')

That being said, I always take what Molaro says with a pinch of salt, so maybe in the next taping report we find out that Shamy are doing the deed daily.

Ok, I've read everyone's posts...I'm going to add to my original post by saying that I am aware that this sex thing could go a million different ways...There's nothing set in stone yet. I do think that if they intend to address this in the way that most of us hope they will, it will be tricky. But...these writers have dealt with various things in the past in unconventional ways - especially when it comes to Shamy - and a lot of the time they managed to surprise us in a pleasant way. So, I remain optimistic about this.

Putting that aside, I'm sorry, but from what I have gathered from judging this guy's history of statements about this show, he is a glorified troll : D. So, I'll just put what he said in the back of my mind and only pay attention to the actual episodes.

I'm so busy studying that I haven't been active here lately... in light of recent events, I'd like to look at things differently. I know right now, we don't know anything about their sex life, whether it's existent or not. But to be honest... we have been spoiled! We're so used to big Shamy episodes that we've lost the appreciation for those small moments. For one... I loved how Amy reacted to the FWF name change... and isn't that we wanted? Another FWF? Well, we got it. What about Sheldon being pretty much wasted (for him, anyway) and thinking "I should invite Amy"... or Amy fixing his tie.. A domestic Shamy. Isn't that we wanted? I choose to be hopeful and happy... We, my fellow nerds, do not ship a sinking ship.

No kidding! When I looked up the specs yesterday I saw that thing weighs about 12.6 lbs/5.7kg and the weight was one of the biggest complaints in the reviews I stumbled upon.

Possible new headcanon: Sheldon gained some muscle over time thanks to lugging that thing around for years. LMAO

Amy used to be my favorite character, but at this point I'm not sure... It was really just fine to me that they both agreed with "do the favor" once a year, not for sheldon but for amy "she worked for her" so I assumed that the days of amy being ignored in that aspect were over because she was ok with that kind of sex life, but guess what? my biggest fear comes alive and now we still seeing amy trying to get more from sheldon and being ignored and rejected again by her "clueless" boyfriend just because the writers think that is funny, is comedy gold in their eyes, but to me is humiliating, even embarrasing to watch. I don't want to see every single episode Sheldon and Amy having sex, or talking about sex no! because that's not the esence of shamy, what i want to see is the writers stop treating amy like that and show some respect towards her, where is the independent and intelligent woman we know?

And for the bold part, They signed another one before having sex! please tell me that is not true, seriously? Amy is sheldon's girlfriend not his client or his employee to sign a non-disclosure agreement, what is sheldon biggest fear? that amy can tell to their friends his private parts size?? or reveal that he is a sex God?? why does he have doubts or feel so insecure about his intimate acts with his girlfriend at this point? it's just ridiculous and again insulting, I can agree with Sheldon's contracts, yes! if that works for him great, we know how special he is and we like him anyway, but in a really private, intimate subject like coitus is just too much... JMO..

I'm wondering whether one bit they cut out of Valentino that we read in the TR  - about Amy's response when Bernadette mentioned one thing leading to another  - was deliberately chosen in order to keep the matter of the Shamy sex-life vague .....

Talking of TRs, I'm also wondering how Sheldon normally gets to his storage unit. We know he doesn't have a car. ShamyD mentioned that he kept giving Amy wrong directions when she was driving him there. I suppose he was hoping she'd forget the way. The place would need to be within walking distance or on a bus route. Or would he take a cab ?
