It looked to me as though Amy was pretty serious all night. She had a nice new waistcoat, tailored at the back, on but it was white over a pale grey shirt and it suited her even less than usual. It looked uncomfortable because she kept pulling it down as if to stop it riding up across her middle. It drained all the colour from her face. Her hair was very straggly. I don't know if we're supposed to wonder if she's pregnant too.

I don't know why we would be supposed to wonder if she's pregnant?!? but overall I agree that the wardrobe choice was terrible - even for Amy. lol

I thought the outfit made her look thick-waisted. At three months some women, although not really showing, give the impression of putting on weight and their hair loses condition. It would be a good laugh if the cliffhanger was that all the couples were expecting at the same time. :) Perhaps Sheldon would then put in the contract that each firstborn gets 25% of his third....

I don't see them doing that - Amy being pregnant, especially with her not noticing??, would be a bit much. I think it's just a weird coincidence with the wardrobe choice being not that great at all.

But I also noticed her hair is looking somewhat... what is the word?... stressed/damaged/frizzy?? this year when they try to straighten it. Idk if Mayim did something to her hair, if it's the cut or the stylist team is using different products etc. ... but they don't seem to be able to tame it the way they did before. I wonder if that's why we get the curly look more often now??

I'm in the UK and I saw it at about 2 am. I download the episodes. I didn't notice any bottom-patting. Sheldon did tell Amy to scoot over because her shadow was in his spot. She mentioned in conversation that he had OCD.

I'm not exactly  sure what 'making out' is. In 8.24 Sheldon referred to their snogging session on the sofa as 'making out like two hooligans under the school bleachers' so I assumed Penny's 'making out hard' was a longer or more intense version. I'm happy for any Americans to educate me about the terminology. :) Penny was in a crude mood anyway, having earlier told Bernadette she'd soon be making her own milk for cookies. (Eww )

I haven't seen it yet :( . The usual link that gets shared in IG/FB  isn't there today - and I'm UK - so I'm just relying on you guys filling me in on the good stuff :) . I read on tumblr that Sheldon asks Amy  to scoot over and pats her bottom on the couch ?!!! This sounds cute ??

I've looked again, Sue, and yes there is a very slight what looks like a token push Sheldon gives Amy on her thigh to show he wants her to move. He says her shadow is in his spot. It doesn't look as if it means anything. It's not a pat on the bottom. Whether there was one taped that's been cut out, I don't know. She smiles a little at his jokes but mainly has a face like a fiddle all evening and is definitely not amused by Penny's 'making out' line.

Sorry the posts have come out in reverse order. I don't know how it happened. I have read in other posts that 'quote sucks' so that might be it

Sorry for catching up late. I enjoyed the episode it had a few funny and sweet moments.

First I must say, that I liked Sheldon´s dress, the only thing I was missing, to complete it, were some glasses. He would look so damn hot!

In my dirty mind, I always dreamt of Sheldon wearing this Peewee dress, sitting at his desk in his bureau, leaning over a document, holding his glasses in his right hand and nibbles on his glasses, while he´s concentrating. (Woooo....)

I love when he gets excited about things, I never want him to loose this excitement, I just wish that he would act that excited if it comes to spend time with Amy. I swear I would die immediately, if he said at least once to her: "Oh Baby....!" (I know it doesn´t sound like him, but Amy could have a daydream where he says something like that. Or another possibility would be, that Sheldon finds Amy´s fanfiction about them and asks her what this is about and she confesses that she was just letting her imagination flow and capture all her inner desires and dreams in a fanfiction. Sheldon gets timid and asks her if she regrets that she doesn´t have a romantic boyfriend, which she denies, because she loves the way he is, even if she admits that she sometimes wants to have romance from time to time.

Sheldon comes closer to her, clears his throat and says: "If you like, we could watch a DVD, while we cuddle on the couch."

Amy smiles and replies: "How about a Star Wars Marathon?"

" Oh Baby, you know how you turn me on!", Sheldon answers turns his arms around her and leans his forehead on hers, while they both close their eyes, holding each other.

I´m sorry I went offtopic.

But I really enjoyed Sheldon getting excited to write a contract again. Poor thing, I guess he doesn´t get much opportunities lately.

The whole Raj story was funny when he was with the girls. their face expressions while when he lookes around were funny.

I believe as well, that Penny´s comment to Amy that Sheldon would make out hard with her later, sounded like a typical Penny joke, because of the way she looked and the irony in her voice. IMO

Just on more thing about the speculations of the next TR: A cabin episode sounds great, but I want Lenny to go alone to the cabin (I don´t think that Sheldon would go, because he´s afraid of cabins, because he´s seen "Cabin In The Woods". LOL), so Shamy can have a second sleepover.

The writers could continue teasing us with ambiguous comments from Sheldon, that turn out totally different until Amy finally says: "Well Sheldon, we could use the time alone for some r-rated activities?"

Sheldon looks right into the camera and says:"Neh!"

I really hope we get to see the gang throwing a bachelor party for Sheldon and for Amy.

It would be fun, if the girls agreed to have one of those rituals, Amy talked about in the past (bathing rituals for example). But before they do that, they talk about the conditions with Amy (I guess Penny will insist in using luffah sponges to bath each other ), while Sheldon writes down everything in a contract.

I liked the episode a lot, it was sweet and reinforced Sheldon and Howard's friendship. Sheldon looked so cute in that bowtie! He went from dumb at the patent office to really clever when he insulted Howie one last time before signing the contract.

I also liked his attempts of joking.

As I already seen in some posts, I agree that Amy looked weird in that vest, I prefer it much more when she wears a dark cardigan. That slight touch on her thigh was something in my view just to show how much Sheldon is comfortable in touching her anywhere (oooooh). AND in front of others.

It was great to see everyone again at the 4A (except for Raj, and I don't get it why he was left out of their patent, as he's Howard's best friend and was there when he had the idea).

I also wish Emily had appeared more than Claire. Penny was annoying in most of the episode.

I loved how the camera was positioned to show Raj's point of view of the girls, and their really funny faces.

I just missed more Shamy moments. When they read the contract part of the baby fund I wish Amy had overreacted and hugged him in front of everybody and said something sweet. Or when she defended him about his Math, there could have been some eye coitus. Anyway, I hope the next taping will give us a few sweet Shamy moments.

I enjoyed last night's episode, a lot going on in it! I have to say that my favorite segment was all the gals (Raj included lol) in 4B, hilarious!

Sheldon seemed pretty loose in this episode, kinda carrying over from drunk Sheldon in the karaoke episode. When they are in the patent guy's office and Sheldon points at the patent guy saying "Get a load of THIS guy!" as he belly laughs came out of nowhere and  made me chuckle. He takes Amy's crack about his OCD in stride and I took his shuffling of Amy over on the couch as just a nod to this and nothing more.

His giddiness over the contracts and addendum was funny, and he acknowledges his behavior towards Howard needed improvement. Sheldon including in the contract that a portion of hismprofits go to a scholarship for Howardette's child was sweet, and I want to point out that it was ALL Sheldon's idea! I loved how Sheldon got his last dig in on Howard, and when Amy gives him her patented "Sheldon!" he laughs and points out that he hadnt signed the contract YET!

I liked Sheldon in this episode a lot--happy go lucky, sense of humor, sensitive enough to later think of Howardette's kid, and generally working with the guys on the patent rather than taking over and making it about himself (even waits until Howard gives him the nod before drafting the contract).

Amy had her moments too. I loved her line in 4B when Raj said he had too much self esteem to date Emily again and Amy gets up, leans towards Bernie, and chuckles "You don't have to be pregnant to smell THAT load of crap". Yay smartass Amy!

It was good to see Amy get up defensively and point out Sheldon's contribution to the project. Always nice to see Amy pointing out how her man is making things happen...poor Leonard lol. That exchange and Bernie's reluctance to have Howard participate in a project with Sheldon was, like someone already pointed out, reminiscent of the parking spot fight, but thankfully this was more low key and dealt with quickly.

Not much in the Shamy department but I did notice the occasional smile between them both. When the girls walked into 4B together Sheldon looks up and his eyes brighten a bit as he smiles (in my mind its because Amy walks in but hell, I could be reading too muchnin that small gesture). Amy smiles at Sheldon's jokes and of course, she defends his contribution as previously stated. When Sheldon gleefully jumps off the couch to make an addendum to the contract you can see Amy is amused and has a big grin on her face. As for Bernie's crack to Amy about "making out hard" because of Sheldon's enthusiasm for the contract stuff, and Amy's frown, I simply took it as Amy being confused at the statement. They had just walked in and Penny was more aware of Sheldon's excitement about a contract than I think Amy was.

It does make me wonder, though, if Sheldon got a little randy afterwards and if they in fact did have a make out session or more...Sheldon was definitely having a good day, and Leonard's remark to Howard about how weird it was discovering a stack of contracts once under Sheldon's bed (as if it was porn), leads one to believe that Sheldon was definitely in the mood for some lovin'....

All in all a fun episode :)

The gyroscope was the result of Leonard's original idea about superfluids, Sheldon's maths and Howard's intuition about the use of Shelnard's theory for a guidance system; Raj didn't do anything, it was fair he had no share in the patent and I'm sure he didn't expect to be involved in the project either. That's not how it works generally, if you don't do anything related a project, you don't have your name on it (there can be some some highly unethical exceptions to that rule, but now I digress...)

I agree with you on the casual touch on Amy's tight, I didn't even notice the first time I watched the episode, but it was very cute and it shows once again that now they are way more comfortable with each other. It is a really good acting choice, for me. I also liked another thing watching  the episode a second time. When the gang were perusing the new contract and Penny noticed that it was very full of "whereupon's" Amy says something like "You should see my Valentine's card" and Sheldon makes the cutest and proudest look ever. He's adorkable...Which also means that, besides the FwF live edition, he gave her also a Valentine card, LOL!

You're right. I just thought that as they've always worked on their ideas together (like in Leonard's app) I was wondering why he was left out this time.

And the Valentine's card part was really cute, I love how the authors give us those tiny bits of information and how much they can mean to us fans.

I forgot about the card, but I DO remember my reaction when I heard Amy's comment about it. It reminded me of the whole "mushroom log" disappointed Amy, ugh...am I misreading her reaction? Is she instead just pointing out that Sheldon used a lot of "whereupons" in it and was amused by it? I would be relieved to find out I read too much into it lol

The point of Valentines is not to know who's sent them. It could have been Kripke, Stuart, the bigfella geologist or some secret admirer. Amy assumes it's from Sheldon but she could be wrong.  :) Neither of them mentioned cards when they were getting ready for FWF so we don't know. I wonder if she got more than one ?

WHAT???!!!  Where the ...  Ok, here in America, it's not a surprise when you have a significant other.  You already know who gave you stuff for Valentine's day.  You're thinking "secret admirer."

Primary school children maybe do that but anyone over the age of 10 does not :scratchhead:

I gather from watching BBT that it's usual to give stuff on Valentine's Day , such as an antique sextant, a DVD and emergency contact status so I can see giving a card with it would be usual now I think about it.I always enjoyed the mystery myself.

If you're in a relationship, it's common for the couple to give each other gifts or do something special for each other.

Secret valentines are for people not in relationships or who have a secret admirer or whatever.  If Amy had gotten a card from someone other than Sheldon, that would be an issue for their relationship, not something for her to brag about, especially in front of him.

And he certainly wouldn't be happy about it.

At first sight the two Valentine references seem similar, but for me there is a big difference; last year, Amy said (more or less) "You never give me flowers" and Sheldon got defensive, so he replied "But I bought you that mushroom log...." She was complaining of his behavior and he was justifying himself. Now IMO Amy was just saying "Look at my boyfriend..he likes so much long and obsolete words and thinks they are romantic" and he replied "Yes, I do, and I'm so proud of it! Am I not made of sugar?" I don't know, I found it very cute!

Gosh !  That's interesting. I'll be careful in future not to send any to Americans.

I wonder what Sheldon wrote in Amy's card and whether she sent one to him ? I'll have fun guessing.

I love this side of Sheldon as well! He's such an adorkable cutie pie and still hilarious. He doesn't have to say mean things to get a laugh out of me - in fact I often find myself cringing rather than laughing at that. So if this now means an end to the tired old anti-engineer jokes I gotta say I won't miss them one bit. His cheeky "I didn't sign the contract yet!" was hilarious though! lol

That aside, what cracked me up were his stupid puns the whole time. OMG when he tries to be intentionally funny it's such a delight. What a dork.

Yeah, I also think it wasn't meant negatively - it's a Valentine's card after all! Traditional hippie dippie nonsense! Between the asteroid (that was supposed to get him out of Valentine's day forever and yet... !) and FwF he really went all out this year! lol

Oh, last thing. In the promo there was a scene where Amy was on the couch and was winking with a big smile on her face. Did they cut it? I didn't notice it in the actual episode, but maybe I'm still sleeping...I thought it could have had something to do with the "make out" comment, but Amy was standing up when Penny made that joke.

I think the only time when Amy was alone on the couch was when Sheldon got up saying "It's addendum time!", so they probably cut whatever was said after that and Amy's winking.

Overall, it was a nice episode. Laughed a lot with Raj and the girls and even though I'm not sure where they're going with Raj, I admit I found the back and forth with Emily and Claire really funny. We didn't have a lot of Shamy, but that's ok, we're getting it next ep (that will air only in three weeks... argh). At least we got some more of Amy defending Sheldon.

Yeah, I saw someone on tumblr confirming that they filmed a reaction to Sheldon jumping up excitedly for the addendum with Penny making kissy faces to Amy and that's apparently when she smiled and winked back.
