EXCLUSIVE: Get details on @JaneKacz's upcoming guest starring role on the #BigBangTheory

http://www.cbs.com/shows/big_bang_theory/news/1004959/jane-kaczmarek-set-to-guest-star-on-the-big-bang-theory/

Between Elon Musk, Adam Nimoy and Bob Newhart, the latest season of The Big Bang Theory has been filled with amazing guest stars—and now we can exclusively reveal one more will be added to the mix: the hilarious Jane Kaczmarek.

The comedic actress will appear in the episode entitled "The Sales Call Sublimation," which is set to air in the new year. She will be playing Dr. Sarita Gallo, a psychiatrist Leonard meets when Penny, a pharmaceutical rep, makes a sales call.

Although this is Jane's first time on the show, her stellar résumé includes numerous film and TV roles, including the wildly popular sitcom Malcom In The Middle, where she played the kooky family's matriarch, Lois, and earned three Golden Globe Award nominations and seven Emmy Award nominations for said role.

1) From being friends to being a boyfriend and girlfriend (with no expectations/requests about physical intimacy)-about a year and a half or less

From Amy becoming keen on the idea of physical intimacy with Sheldon to the first Sheldon initiated kiss-about a year and a half or less

From that kiss to Sheldon telling Amy "I love you"-about a year

From that to coitus-about a year

It does not seem too fast to me, and getting back together after a break up does not equal things remaining in the same pace/position that they were prior to the break up. Actually, it should mean the opposite, especially if that pace caused the break up.

2) And the balance doesn't have to "shift completely", since Sheldon has more dominating personality.

3) I don't understand the cherry picking going on, Unless some people want to diminish this event to make "something" come off as better in comparison.

First bolded part: Irrelevant, since I didn't take all of that into consideration when I said that coitus had come (no pun intended) too fast, It was how fast they got to coitus after reconciling compared to the pace of the relationship prior to reconciling.

Second bolded part: I never said that, so I don't know what you're answering to.

Third bolded part: What cherry picking are you talking about? I really don't know. Why would anybody want to diminish this event? To make what come off better in comparison?

Listen, if you want to post your opinion, by all means do so. If you quote my post answer IT, don't answer things that have little or nothing to do with my post.

I don't know he meets a psychiatrist lol, I don't know. And just want to say. I don't get anyone here even if you are Anti Leonard (Have no idea why he's lovely lol). How anyone can justify Penny has ever said Leonard is said BAD in bed. She has never ever used those words. She has referenced his inconsistent performance before. But all one needs to say is "Wow you really are a genius" to depute any claim Penny thinks Leonard is bad in bed. Penny is a very sexual person, sex is very important to her. If it was an issue Penny would be like "Honey pick up your game huh" lol. But she hasen't, or she would break up with Leonard. I think Sheldon taunts Leonard, for his own lack of self worth and insecurities when it comes to sex and intimacy. He prob knows Lenny have done it several times, so seeing he is a logical man. Odds are Leonard has nailed it a few times. And as for the title episode. Sounds like a Lenny Story Arch, finally :icon_cheesygrin:.

"The Sales Call Sublimation"

We know that Penny is going out on a Sales call, Leonard goes with her and meets a psychiatrist played by Jane Kaczmarek...

So what do we think the title means peeps? :icon_neutral:

As a guess it is like something going up in smoke as a result of the sales call. First guess would be Leonard messes up the sale.

Sublimation of course refers to a solid going directly to a gaseous phase. An example is dry ice (frozen carbon dioxide) does not melt at room temperature and atmospheric pressure. it goes straight to CO2 gas. By the way the sublimation of dry ice generally cause moisture in the air to condense into water droplets because the CO2 is very cold (in this case one gets a cloud of water droplets even though the CO2 is as transparent as the rest of the air.

but in psychology (and this character is a psychologist) sublimation means:

Quote

Sublimation is a mature type of defense mechanism where socially unacceptable impulses or idealizations are unconsciously transformed into socially acceptable actions or behavior, possibly resulting in a long-term conversion of the initial impulse.

Hence my :icon_neutral: face!

I wasn't upset, but I also wasn't waiting around HOPING Penny would make fun of Leonard's prowess.  I just don't think that the point of Sheldon and Amy getting together is going to be to make fun of Sheldon's prowess.  The point of their tryst is that they've finally done it, finally taken that step.  Their path to that moment is far different from Leonard and Penny's path, and Penny is quite different from Amy.

You like Leonard as much as l like Sheldon. I just thought it would be funny if Sheldon was bad in bed after all the times he made fun of Leonard prowess.

Yeah my best guess is Leonard stuffs a sale up for her for what ever reason. And they argue. Looking forward to that Johnny and Kaley have always had the best chemistry between them selfs, out of everyone. And always do fighting so well. I am the type of fan who well get bored with were happy. I need a bit of drama and edge :icon_cheesygrin:.

Jane Kaczmarek! She is amazingly talented!

But oh oh! This cannot be good -- a psychiatrist? Penny might let it slip that her mother-in-law is Dr Beverly Hofstadter and I'm thinking that Ms Kaczmarek is a 'Bev-o-phile' and 'knows' Leonard from her writings, ie The Disappointing Child. Ack! Possibly a Bev surrogate wanting to use the inside of Leonard's head as a playground!

I waited five years for that? Is Leonard free? :icon_biggrin:

So are you suggesting this might explain the lack of public displays of affection in Lenny? In season 8 Penny 'transforming libido into "socially useful" achievements, including artistic, cultural and intellectual pursuits.' In Penny's case her career.

Um no...

I'm suggesting that it is an odd word/potential situation - Leonard talking to a psychologist and the use of this word in particular - odd.

I love Leonard.  Not as much as I love Sheldon, of course, but I still love the guy.  I love all the characters, including Stuart and Wil Wheaton, and even Emily.

This is probably too deep for a comedy, but I'd actually love it if Leonard went to see a psychiatrist who's not a total whack job. I hate that they always point out the fact that Leonard has deep psychological issues because of his mom, but they never let him do anything about it. I'd give anything to see an ep where Leonard tells his mom to kindly go f--- herself. But again, it's a comedy, so probably never gonna happen.

Leonard kinda did cry over his mother in S3 Pants Alternative. When Sheldon played psychiatrist haha. But they could do that again. Leonard in S1 did kinda tell Sheldon kindly to f off lol. Then again in S2 when Sheldon updated his online status to in a relationship with DR Stephanie. I really want to see Penny stand up to Bev on Leonard's behalf though.

Oh hell yeah. Who's Mrs. Hofstadter now, bitch?

But Bev. is Dr. Hofstadter. She looks down on Leonard. Don't know what Penny would have to do to impress her.

Bernadette, now perhaps she could put Bev. in her place.
