EvilStewie Posted January 16, 2016 Posted January 16, 2016 I don't really noticed what she is wearing, probably cause it don't matter she is still hawt. You don't have to dress sexy to be so. For me I was just happy she expressed her dream of acting and how she was good at it. I get the woman has bills to pay, but that WAS her dream and that shouldn't be forgotten. I will be livid, if after all that time, she just gives up on her dream!

But beside I tag scene her acting has always been bad. Serial apeist the scene we saw she wasent good acting wise, the hemmoroid commercial she wasent good, ncis scene cut and serial apeist 2 what we saw again she wasent good. And that's 4 minimaly paying gigs in six years acting for her was a bust. Even the audition kevin smith gave her she "stunk up to the place" She and some fans need to seperate dreams from fantasies Kaley did a good job of playing a bad actress and besides once in an amatuer stage play Penny was a bad actress Edited January 16, 2016 by JE7

Know one knows how her performance was specifically. Scenes get cut all the timre for various reasons. Mostly time consumption. Just saying it was never prooven PENNY can't act. One can watch the commercial she was in, in one scene. But she was in it, so have to presume she can act. I mean shes an actor portraying an actor. I'm just saying not once has anyone ever told Penny from what I recall you cant act. The problem was she was type casted the moment she moved to Pasadena. I like this new Emily but it is a big change in her character, it is like they are inventing the character before our eyes. And now even Sheldon can make Emily cry ! When she was the one everybody found scary, Sheldon referred to her as 'Koothrapalli's weird girlfriend' who was going to kill him and bury his body. It seems to me something is going on. That Sheldon persists with his project of apologies isn't surprising as in his head he's got to finish what he started. He's scrupulous about the right thing when he's got a bee in his bonnet and this time it's about something real and worth doing. While they are making Sheldon grow up at a rate of knots but without changing his character, Amy has matured even faster, also keeping her personality. But whatever are they doing to Emily ? Rather than a progression it looks like a total reversal. Why ? Has something happened that we're going to find out about ?

Sometimes it is best to cut your losses and change your goals. It doesn't mean you don't still dream, only that you faced reality that perhaps you were chasing the wind. It happens a lot when people choose family over career. It doesn't mean that they don't miss what they were doing before, only that family has become more important. Penny misses acting, but perhaps she sees that the path she has chosen is really in her best interest right now. If she goes back to acting, perhaps the growth she has developed will help her be better than she was, and she will finally get her chance at a more mature role. Unfortunately it's not all about what we want, or how good we think we are. It's all about opportunity, what other people think, popularity, the people you know, and just the deck life gives you. I think this is one of those things in life where you're background is gonna play a part in how you see the situation. I for one wouldn't be happy if I looked back and thought, I really wanted that, but didn't get it my all. I have seen people quit their dream and end up with nothing as well. Decide to focus on family, and then something happens. They are not current in that profession and have no current job history to boot, so they can not find work. As far as the show, this is still a dream of Penny's, and if she is bringing it up in therapy, it still has to still have value to her. I'm not saying your dreams can't change, I'm saying be true to yourself, cause there are no guarantees in life. You can't guarantee she couldn't find work as an actress, as much as you can't guarantee she is gonna be better off forgetting about it! I don't think that Penny should have, necessarily, become a famous actress. She could have made a carrier as a theater actress, for example. Or maybe try out some other movie/play related jobs, maybe writing.
JE7 Posted January 16, 2016 Posted January 16, 2016 The one truth in life is there are mo guarantee's. You HAVE to play the odds, if someone's dream is to win the big lottery jack pot they can spend half their pay on tickets every week for their whole lives and never win and it will have cost them dearly My son is a musician and a good one plays in a band about to release their third album he makes nothing but he gets he music fix. That's all he wanted for 8 years then he realized he was broke and living with his dad. He is now training to be a chef which he enjoys has a apt. And a fiance. If the band hits great if not he still has a happy life. Penny can do community theatre while she makes the big bucks during the day. Life is not all or nothing, you have to compromise. This is exactly how I see Penny fulfilling her dream of acting. One can still dream yet be a responsible adult like your son. The problem was that in the episode, the writers didn't expound on what Penny really meant. So we are left with the impression that Penny wants to go back to her early years and be young and free and have no responsibilities. I don't think that was her point. To me, Penny was saying I'm overwhelmed, I don't like this being an adult, I want to go back to simpler times. Heck, I've said that many times. That doesn't mean that she or I are going to do it. It's like blowing off steam.
