In any other moment it would have been happy for new seasons to come. Now I don't know. I agree with all of you; if they can find new stories without distorting what they have built in 8 seasons it is ok. I begun to watch the show for its science/physics subjects, I work every day with persons like the guys, so I can relate to all of them at a certain degree and I enjoyed the acting from the very beginning. When they added the girls I started to be interested in the personal growth of the characters and in the relationship stuff. Now I think that if they will be dragging things out just for the sake of being on the air a season more, it will be disappointing. I can't say right now I'll be out of the show, I'm invested in TBBT way much than I expected and I'm not ready to let it go, so I think I will continue to watch it, even if my ship sinks, even if things don't go my way.  It does not sound very appealing , does it?

You're stronger then I am. I was really rooting for Shamy, but they somehow fixing it in ep 2 (which is impossible imho, besides the scenerario of them talking about it and finding out it was just miscommunication (which I don't think it is anymore imho) I think a healthy Shamy is done for.

And I really don't want to see that for almost 2 full seasons (or more).

:icon_cheesygrin: It is also one of my favorite books!

Mine too! I'd love some more sci-fi jokes on the show, instead of 'geeky' 'in'-jokes that are neither particularly geeky or particularly in-jokes. I'm looking at you, Penny in S7, horrfying herself with Star Wars references that I easily recognised, having never watched any of the films!

Do you guys think now the koothrapamy (or however is written lol) is going to be  a thing?

I pray zeus this do not happen, ever.

I seriously doubt it. TBBT is not Vampire Diaries or Gossip Girl where everybody at one point gets together with everybody in the group. I just don't think dating anybody other than their endgame partner within the group is a possibility. It would just destroy the dynamic.

That said Koothrapamy was hilarious and the best part of Comic-Con. And in the story Amy doesn't even end up with Raj but rather with the writers LOL

What I loved about the CC fanfic is that Amy was so Sheldon in it! "That doesn't make any sense..." / "Then I should point out that semantic is not the right word.". That's my favorite kind of Amy. Loved loved loved the characterization in that fic!

But yeah, I agree with Luna. I think Koothrappamy would be a jump the shark moment for the show. It always distinguished itself because it didn't get everyone to pair up with everyone else unlike most other shows and comedies. I hope it stays that way.

Oh please no Koothrappamily! They do not have chemistry and that would be JTS moment. Like all the other imaginary ships they only exists in fantasy lans. This is mot Friends or That '70s Show. On the latter . you had Jackie sleeping with every guy in the group except for Eric and now has a bad reputation with viewers as being the S Word. This is not that kind of show, that incident in Season 4 was enough. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk

Thanks to all those attended the taping and shared stuff here.  That's awesome :)

I will leave my shipper comments to those threads but Lio and Koops did a nice job of really capturing where my head is at after reading the TR.

I know this last year at this time I was cautiously optimistic and overall this year I am just cautious.

Really would love to see a return to light hearted stories interspersed with science and all the geek-y things with drama weaved strategically but not overwhelmingly throughout.  JMO.

Relax, Koothrapamy was just the writers having some fun. And boy is that fic funny no matter how many times I watch it.

I'm not worried about Koothrapamy becoming a thing though I'd love to see Amy and Raj share a story. They don't hang out alone enough.

I don't think the sky will fall. I don't expect Sheldon and Amy will be broken up for long. These events will move Shamy along. Sheldon needs a compelling reason to change and change does not come easily to him.

One can never say what will happen next with Lenny. It has always been like that I think. Don't know what to expect in 9.02 but that's the way I like it. Unpredictable.

I actually have been pleased to have been spared a year of "say yes to the dress" and other stereotypical wedding prep stress and nonsense. It has been done a lot. We did not need BBT to turn into Father of the Bride.

Maybe the writers don't plan on fixing the train wreck that is Lenny looks like they are trying to make it so bad that Penny and Leonard will separate and not get back together. Then the writers can concentrate on Sheldon and the shamy Sent from my XT1056 using Tapatalk

I don't think they would have Lenny divorce, it would be just like a third breakup and they would loose the Lenny magic in the show plus piss off all the Lenny fans.  I think the only way the marriage is dissolved, is a week after, they get a letter for Penny Johnson, from the state of Nevada, telling her she is still married to Zack and her marriage to Leonard is invalid and will not be filed.

On the other hand the later seasons of That 70s Show also had constantly contrived plots to keep Eric and Donna from finally ending up together and to keep them in a constant argument about things that happened two seasons before. It also used the same contrived plots to stir up conflict and cliffhangers in the Jackie/Hyde and Jackie/Kelso relationships. Considering how closely TBBT seems to be following the exact same course I would actually be worried!

That is true. I frankly couldn't care less to see wedding prep on TBBT again, after we've already been there and done that with Howard and Bernadette. However, I am disappointed that the Lenny wedding happened far away and during Shamy fighting so everyone, including the audience, ended up missing it. I really would have liked Sheldon to be there as a best man for Leonard and Amy for Penny, even if it was a quick wedding at the courthouse in flip flops and for Lenny to get their wedding night together, not ruined by this stupid cheating nonsense. It was a plot set up from day 1, and while I think Lenny fans feelings on the matter are probably more important than mine, I feel like it's not the best payoff.

I personally think they may during season 10 do a redo wedding.  Because lets be honest, even this one was filled with harsh feelings and hurt, and they didn't even have their wedding night together.  Long story short, once all of the dust settles and the "drama" and stuff ends, they may reconsider it all and end of "renewing" their vows filled with love that honestly the couple deserves.  This is just a stall tactic to keep dragging the Lenny relationship out along with the Sheldon/Leonard living arrangements (but as I said I'm ok with a little angst with Lenny because in season 8 their story was so boring)

With the woman from ship working at cal tech this can only go 1 of 2 ways I think. One way would be she was drunk and kisses Leonard and he stopped it. I'm hoping for this or 2 she tells them that wasn't the only thing that happened between them. Unfortunately I think Lenny has become a side show Sent from my XT1056 using Tapatalk

I never watched That 70s Show. I just don't feel worried. And being worried won't do me any good. Im already someone who overthinks things sometimes so this nonchalance is good for my mental health.
