I don't disagree that the word is stimagtised, but if the misinformation is never challenged, then it will always remain so.

How is replacing the patriarchy with a matriarchy an improvement? It makes no sense whatsoever to the idea of sexual equality.

So, in a nutshell, I am a feminist, I don't think I'm better than a man, but I do believe I'm as good as one. That's the true meaning.

some fortunate actors have been late bloomers. I think it's fine for her to be aspirational, and she doesn't have to desperate either. She has a loving partner with a good job and if he backs her she has resources to devote some time to what she wants.

I know someone who spent nine years striving for a goal outside her immediate occupation. She really wanted it, she made it happen. Penny can do the same if she wants.

Also, I'm not sure if the big pharma jokes will get the proper run they deserve. But that's getting political.

Part of the L/P couple magic was in the extreme contrast. Now they are going all heterogeneous. Amy is almost identical to Sheldon, Howard married a fellow professional, Raj dated another professional. Penny is being a little bit professionalised too.

Not a diverse bunch at all.

Thanks that was interesting to know.  So they are all living comfortably .  What's income tax down there?  I seem to get taxed at 43% here!

The Shrink thought she was so bad that she put Penny on medication, I must admit that I can't off the top of my head think of an exact quote where she moaned about her job, might just be the vibe I got but she definitely is not a happy bunny 

Penny has earned twice what Leonard has in the past few years, so much so that she has a 'money guy' and investments.

She is one of the best salespeople at her job so I don't see why she can't either take some time off here and there to audition and/or a sabbatical to work on a project or two. She doesn't have to quit altogether.

Leonard managed to help support her for the first 6 seasons, they don't have any kids or huge financial responsibilities like a mortgage, why not give it one last shot to put her mind at ease?

At least then she will know for sure, before she is tied down with a house and kids!

Penny's issue as shown by Glenn in the valentines episode is she dosent want to be 30, that along with her rant on the couch shows she wants to stay the hot young girl everybody fawned over who could get anything she needed with a cute pout and a tank top. No real responsibilitys or commitments to worry about, just partying and enjoying life anytime she wanted.

She like most everyone is looking g at her youth with Rose colored glasses and wanting it to be that way forever but life dosent work that way.

What I find puzzling is in Vegas last season we saw Penny pass up partying to study for work but now we see just the opposite attitude or so it seems

But we still have to pay insurance premiums or if we don't have insurance a fine of I believe $2,500 but not sure the info has been contradictory on that

Plus federal income tax would be well above 9℅

Tenure could make a big difference for Leonard but we can only assume he didn't get it because it was forgotten by the next episode hell we can only guess Barry got it because none of the guys obviously did. Although the Jr professor episode would make more sense if Sheldon was tenured

Continuity is irrelevant and realistic is just a word

They didn't make him poor or rich, just in debt.  There is nothing on screen that  contradicts this past continuity.

Why would that be puzzling. Studying and being responsible can wear one down over time.

& I think we've see enough of Raj and Bernadette's families already without introducing new characters.

You might be right about Leonard's family. His Dad could possibly be interesting depending on how it plays out.

Given the wedding and that we are in season nine I don't think we are going to see Penny's family because there has been a lot of opportunity already but then I did not expect Meemaw to show up halfway through season nine either. Who knows.
