I'm just happy I actually see Lenny in the scene.

I have rewatched the show since season 1 but I am still baffled about when exactly Lenny morphed into this

Yeah Elr is a great example. Theirs no reason why they cant write good plots for Lenny. This show is more Rules of Engagement then a show about Physicists and the hot girl. These days anyway.

Cool, thanks!

So they are filming quite a lot today!

Maybe there are just some scenes which involve the party, and they are shooting all of them today, out of order with respect to the actual episode...or maybe really is full of press out there and they are doing a run through for them. If this is the case, we'll have a lot of interviews and articles coming in our way!!

And no, i've actually started watching in season 1. But i will say that - i've never rooted for Lenny cause i like couples where people actually have something in common. And yes, i've always thought Penny could do better.

And I always thought Amy could do better. Kripke, Stuart, the geology guy. But Leslie winkle would agree with you that they have something in common. A dumb ass with a dumb ass.

Well, you did say you were tired of the whining. That's not so complimentary either, to a whole set of people.  L/P fanciers still care about the show or they'd be absent. So they count, even if they only watching to turn over or wade through the rubble of their crumbled dreams and find scraps of the past to treasure.

And of course married people are funny too. It's not like they have transcended or anything. Better be careful about wishing for Shamy nuptials. :)

I favor Sheldon because i have a lot in common with him. Literally the only thing i have in common with Leonard is his care for environment, him being responsible etc, nothing else comes to mind. I don't hate him, i just can't relate to him.

And i don't favor Leonard because i don't understand how can he let people (mainly Sheldon and his mother, but in later seasons also Penny) treat him the way they do.
In regards to Penny and Beverly, he never says anything.
In regards to Sheldon, he keeps taking his bs, then one day he gets fed up and makes a sarcastic comment or does some passive aggressive thing.
I don't like it when people don't stand up for themselves openly. Sarcasm and occasional hidden 'revenge' (like in S2 when Leonard, instead of firmly standing his ground and telling Sheldon 'i won't be driving you', lets him believe he's still working nights, so Sheldon decides to live at Caltech) is not standing up for yourself.

So basically you don't like Leonard because he takes to much abuse but you favor the person who dishes out most of the abuse to everyone else.... That's pretty messed up reasoning

And how do you get a year long Howerdette arc when the season is more than half over?

This post would probably get me many dislikes if there was a 'dislike' button, but i will say it.

I'm sorry, but i'm sick of Lennies complain about that.

Honestly, what did you guys expect ? Lenny's thing (unlike Howardette's , or Shamy's) from the beginning was the story of this insecure guy trying to get an unattainable girl. That was their 'thing'. That was the main source of comedy in the early days, along with Sheldon's quirks. Then later, the comedy was in all those failed proposals, etc. Now, once that happened, once they're married, i don't find it surprising the writers are struggling to find funny stories for them.
( and it's a sitcom, they're not just gonna create a story to please the shippers, if it can't be funny).

From the beginning Leonard was the most 'normal' of them all, so aside from his shyness/awkwardness with Penny, how can they still make him super funny without completely altering his personality?

My point is i don't think they're deliberately hating on Lenny. I just don't think now once they're married they can be as funny anymore, that's why less stories revolve around them.

And i also think that's why many stories are Sheldon-centric these days - they've let other characters grow, and they are inevitably a little less funny now, so Sheldon's their main laughs source now.

They've let go of Raj's selective mutism and Howard's creepiness, so they have to find other ways to keep their stories funny  - maybe that's the reason why they got Raj a girlfriend who loves to hang out at cemeteries, and why they keep repeating jokes about how Howard makes so much less than Bernadette and how she's baby-ing him sometimes.

And yes, i have been watching and they've also gave stories to Raj and Howardette this year (basically, with the baby Howardette r gonna have a year long arc now, just like when Howard went to space).

You've obviously been watching a different show. I've been watching the SCS what have you been watching?

Sorry when you think about it ewww lol. Lets cut to the chase its going to be Sheldon s bday. Or a dream sequence. Why have all these past characters? Why would Leslie want to be at Sheldons bday? AFTER 6 years? But in a dream sequence they can do anything. Think Shenny lol. Da da da. Point is I think its Sheldons dream. Could be wrong but yeah. Lenny are in the kitchen t hough. So its Cannon :D.

And even the Howardette pregnancy involved Sheldon, as they conceived on his bed. Cuz the writers had to work Sheldon in there somehow, right?

I know right?!?  There are other germaphobe, neat-freak, Howard frenemy characters on the show that should have been part of that scenario.

Geez, those writers, what were they thinking?  :icon_rolleyes:

It' s a fact that the show is Sheldon-centric now, to the point where I wonder if it gets awkward at table reads...and I think the Howardette sex on Sheldon's bed came out of left field...but c'mon, not everything is made to orbit around Sheldon...

Yeah that and I think they are pre shooting the cold open. For all we know Sheldons bit is the dream sequence. Hopefully lol. Look I would have no problem with a Sheldon bday party. Sheldon is imo the most unique tv Character ive ever seen. I just want a better balance. With the other characters.

Each for there own. Sorry don't agree. Audiences always go for the characters they want to be. I do not want to be anything like him. I want balance 2, friends manage to do it but the show has become so one sided. I feel cheated and many others do. I don't know what going to happen if it's a dream sequence or not. My only thoughts here is hopefully a great friendship episode enjoying whatever the party is and no drama and maybe a big decision for Lenny.

I think there is a real possibility that they are not only coasting to the finish line with TBBT but are also setting things in motion for a Sheldon spin off ala Joey.

They would get to keep what they feel is the big draw of the show and so keep fans watching and cut a lot of payroll thus making them even more money per episode

I find it interesting that we have heard no talk in the press about continuing the show after next season with only one left you'd think someone would ask about it

Shows renewed till s11 aint it. They are stumbling as it is. But I think if they embrace the fact shows changed. And reboot it into a more young student professional's type show. They can get three more season's out of it.

First bold, I get a feeling that Jim would want to return to theater, working on his production company and movies. I personally don't see him agreeing to a spin off.  They rarely work.  Also after TBBT ends, he, Johnny and Kaley won't need the money.

Second bold, they might be holding off until around the airing of the 200th or Paleyfest in March.

You do have a point. S9 feel rushed like they are trying to rapidly tie up loose ends. I don't know, it just feels that way sometimes.

And most episodes have been Sheldon centric testing the waters maybe, the network has an option for season 11 with the original 5, I don't know if that is an all or nothing option or if they could option only jim
