MTBigBangTheoryFan
Well some people think Bernadette becoming Pregnant is a sign the show is nearing it end. I think the writers know whether there one season or one seasons left The clock is now ticking on the show and that they don't have much time left. We will have to wait and see. We should know by May Upfront. Edited February 9, 2016 by MTBigBangTheoryFan

Not exactly a small club at 9.5 seasons and that's not counting the golden age shows like my three sons wich lasted 12 seasons or Ozzie and Harriet that went 14 seasons And just for the record the jeffersons and fraiser were spin offs Edited February 9, 2016 by JE7

That's pretty messed up reasoning And how do you get a year long Howerdette arc when the season is more than half over I never said the reasons i love Sheldon for includes him insulting Leonard . It's actually one of the few things i don't quite like about Sheldon (when he's doing it on purpose). No , i don't think that's messed up reasoning at all. If we were talking serious abuse, like domestic violence or bullying, obviously i'd be on the victim's side. But what Sheldon does is not really abuse in my opinion. He says mean stuff to people a lot and occasionally does mean stuff (shoving a pie in Leonard's face) - his friends can: 1. stop being friends with him 2. explain to him why what's he doing is wrong and set up clear boundaries about what he shouldn't do and what they absolutely won't tolerate. 3. Do the same to him (Howard was fighting back in the Parking Spot Escalation episode... Why couldn't Leonard shove a pie in Sheldon's face? I've said that many times but I've always thought Penny has been pretty much the only one who could always set up her boundaries and tell Sheldon to F off when needed, and stand up for herself ( i don't know why the writers changed that in S9, and how they went from 9x4 "we can think of him like he's our dog" to Penny tolerating toilet paper fines from Sheldon in 9x12) Howardette baby will probably be born in the first episodes of S10, and a few episodes will be heavily about that - them managing to navigate their daily life now that they have a baby. I think that would last till maybe episode 7-8, which would be middle of november, and 9x16 is middle of Febraury, so to me it's almost a year. 3 hours ago, Nogravitasatall said: Well, you did say you were tired of the whining. That's not so complimentary either, to a whole set of people. L/P fanciers still care about the show or they'd be absent. So they count, even if they only watching to turn over or wade through the rubble of their crumbled dreams and find scraps of the past to treasure. And of course married people are funny too. It's not like they have transcended or anything. Better be careful about wishing for Shamy nuptials. Ofc married couples can be funny. But in my opinion (which is just an opinion... ) Leonard from the beginning was made too "normal" to be super hilarious now that his super-nervous-over-Penny days are over. I was just rewatching S1 the other day and i remember the scene when Leonard was asking Penny out and when he was sweating through his shirt so badly, i laughed out loud, and throughout their whole date (i think it was 1x3), he was so funny/cute. I don't remember laughing as much in Leonard's moments in later seasons. And me personally i could do fine without Shamy's wedding ; ) However i stand by my opinion - the wedding is usually the culmination of the story, at least it's usually seen like that for casual viewers. As a Shamy, i'd watch them until season 16 doing the smallest things - but i do believe once they're married, they inevitably would become less interesting for the general public... I think that's just how the tv and entertainment industry works. If it wasn't for that, FRIENDS writers wouldn't stall Ross and Rachel so much, not only get together in the finale of the series. There was no mid-season finale, no winter premiere, no DVD, no summer programming. If TBBT ends after season 10, they will have logged 231 episodes. IMHO, quite impressive in the modern era. Yes they use to have more back in the 1950s and 1960s and a lot of times. but they usually had still at least a 2 months break. They didn't take as much time off during a season back then as they do now. Again we live in the modern era. Our grandparents were born in the modern era. djsurrey
I think the web, touch screen smart phones, wi-fi technologies and cheap laptops have changed the landscape. It might not be realistic to compare tv series before 2007 to those that started after.
