I'm sorry you had a bad time at the Taping  but two friends hugging =/= banging! 

And calling Penny a bitch? Implying that she is somehow scheming to get in his pants is a little extreme!

They were both single for years, if she wanted to make a move she could have quite easily!

No matter what her intentions are, people need to have boundaries. And hugging your best friend's boyfriend in a very intimate way with your best friend standing right next to you is not a very wise thing to do. at least I would never do that to my best friend. But people are different. So that's just me.

I'm not calling her a bitch. I like Penny in previous seasons very much. I think she's cute, kind and warm. But what she does in recent seasons really does fit the defination of a "Best Friend Bitch". I'm sorry that's how I feel and I can't just not feel it.

Thank you to everyone who went to the taping and shared information.  It is quite a time commitment and for some quite a financial commitment to do so.  I really appreciate it.

I have no comment on the taping report itself except to say that It makes my heart ache to see some of you so upset.

As always, I will reserve my comments for the final, polished product.

Looking forward to a new episode to dissect tomorrow night.

-the love of life and best friends comment thought... she could remember his birthday..... not a fault...but she could not remember only leonard's birthday... she quite clearly knew when sheldon and amy's birthday was....

-there is no need for quotes... the looks and expression on penny's face when she was at the doctors place say it all.....

-That's called a coincidence.

-Or it's because your determined to read into any scene what you want to see, and hardly IF EVER take nuance into account.  Because you've clearly made up your mind on these characters, instead of being willing to be flexible in your interpretation.

And I love Penny. But how the writers portray her recently is really ruining this character for me. I would never, not in a million years, just go ahead and hug my best friend's boyfriend, with my best friend standing right next to him, even though the guy's just like my little brother.

I would, every day and twice on Sunday. I have, many times, and no one thought anything about it. Could we be looking at a cultural difference here?

As seen with TAAHM Lorrie will glee fully drop a piano on someone he feels has slighted him I don't believe he would draw a distinction between complaining actors and complaining fans, you don't like what I gave you try this on for size sounds IC for him to me

Honestly these days I'm not bothered by any drama on the show, I'm more irritated about seeing or reading about specific and/or drama content BECAUSE 9 times out of 10 I correctly predict that a number of people here will be overly sensitive and take a line or scene too personally.  Maybe it wouldn't bother me as much if it weren't clear how much perspective almost NEVER gets taken into account when people here react this way.

Oh and thanks for your comfort. Actually except for that disgusting Shenny part, I enjoyed last night. I talked with Mayim's mom lol. Of course when I talked with her, I didn't know she's Mayim's mom. And I finally figured out what they guy holding a clapperboard before every scene means by "ABCX".

I said TPTB not Penny and its not that hard to accomplish the finale episode shows Sheldon waking up from a dream in bed with his wife Penny, there ya go done, game over Shenny is a done deal and if Kaley refuses which I am sure contractually she can't then Sheldon is woken from his dream by a phone call from his wife Penny using cut and splice dialog from Kaley. If they want to do it they can no reason or explanation needed other than they want to

Seriously?  You didn't realize that I had forgotten to take out stardustmelody's quote when I was quoting her multiple times?  Go to her quote, you'll see the 2nd line that you bolded is her's originally.  I even edited it BEFORE you quoted me.

Also for a moderator, I feel your setting a terrible example of being THIS personal with anyone by asking me if I'm lying about my life.  I haven't made ONE comment about questioning whether your telling the truth about your personal life.  Because it has NOTHING to do with the show.

Sorry that's crap. Sheldon and Penny told each other THEY are siblings in. Cannon n using a AU kiss as proof tptb are heading their is stupid. None of those scenes love test etc. Which was their way of addressing it. Or their AU scenes mean anything. In cannon Penny doesent see Sheldon like that for nearly a decade. To suggest because they've had solo scenes. Simply because example love test was funny. Means YOUR a show apologist is just stupid. That's not proof. Quite the contary. Has Penny ever seem SHELDON or ever been romantically intimate with The guy? So AFTER a decade out of all the guys shes Been with, including LeonArd. Sheldons the one? Lol. You really think The writers are that stupid. Could you imagine Penny doing any of that with Sheldon? It would be so Ooc. It simply wont happen. So to say its heading their simplt bsed on a few isolated scenes ThAt meant nothing. And were NEVER romantic. Dont you get it tptb wrre mocking the whole concept. Sheldon s changed yes, but hes just to weird in Pennys mind. Hes a grown todller to het. I just dont understand anyone watching can even suggest that's where its heading.

I'm writing this as someone who actually enjoys the Shenny friendship.  I think they make great friends.  They have two totally different perspectives which is hilarious to watch on screen.

I don't think it's crap to think that TPTB could go in this direction.  If they go til the end of Season 11...that's a lot of episodes.  The writers have admitted that they love writing angsty drama for Lenny.  So let's imagine a little...  Lenny are in 4B and Shamy in 4A.  Lenny start fighting with each other over this and that.  Perhaps Leonard is ready for kids and Penny isn't.  Perhaps its money as its a big stressor in marriages.  Shamy are fighting too, they are having trouble meshing together living together.  Things get to a boiling point for both couples.  Sheldon and Penny meet up to commiserate together.  Penny asks, Why is Leonard so stubborn?  I know!  Sheldon exclaims.  Sheldon asks why Amy is so difficult.  Penny agrees.  They have a friendly evening together, bitching about their respective partners.  They start laughing together about this and that.  One of them asks, why can't it be easy, like it is with us?  Awkward silence.  Subject changed.  They start joking around again....laughing.  Perhaps Penny tries to tickle him.  He starts to shove her away, but then they kiss.

Is that possibility inconceivable?  Perhaps.  I don't think it is.  They making it a point "growing Sheldon up" this season.  In future seasons, maybe Penny won't see him as such a "child". 

I truly hope they don't go in that direction, but who knows?  I do like Sheldon and Penny being friends, and it doesn't freak me out to see them on screen together.  But when they put these little "moments" into each season, it makes me go Hmmmm sometimes.  It's not like they show Leonard a lot of respect as a character.

Ok I am gonna go with willfully blind since you can't even acknowledge that if they want to they can. You can argue its improbable but not impossible

It is fiction they control the story and like a god in that fictional world they can make anything they want happen

I'm not really friends with any of my girl friends bfs/husbands, but I am friends with some guys who are married/in a relationship. If we wanna hug, we hug . I'd never ever think our hugs would even be their SO's business lol.

(unless, and I hope that's politically correct to say, they are Muslim and very religious. But in the western culture, no.)

If I wanna show love to a friend or give consolation, I hug them. I dont care if it's a male or a female.

If your talking about what Molaro said, he did NOT say that.  Here's what he said: "When Penny and Leonard were making Thanksgiving dinner [in last month's episode] and she couldn’t remember his birthday was just the greatest example of Johnny and Kaley and Leonard and Penny at their best. They were fighting, but it wasn’t ugly, and it was adorable and fun, and I couldn't get enough of that type of situation between them."

Nothing in that quote was him talking about "angsty drama".  It's just another case of some members trying to stretch a quote from TPTB to fit their pre-conceived notions.

How is it any different to oh it's leading to Penny and Raj. I dont see any difference here. Other then shock value. The whole show wouldn't make any sense. After ten seasons, suddenly omg Sheldon. No, I did not realize you had forgotten.  Can you explain how I was supposed to know it was another poster, if I wasn't looking back through the posts?  Also, if you would have edited it before I quoted you, I wouldn't have had the statement in the quote.   You do realize that if I quote you, and you change it anytime after I quote you, I will still have the original post.

I don't accuse someone of this, out of the blue.  I saw claims in your statements, that obviously couldn't both be true.   If you can find conflicting statements, of my personal life, in a single posts, by all means, you are free to question my veracity.  If it has nothing to do with the show, why did you post the original quote?

Not to mention the fact that Lorre personally wrote both the MeeMaw and the 200th episode, so yeah I personally think Lorre is a closeted Shen**.  It breaks my heart that they give S&P more genuine friendly scenes (whether maternal, consoling, whatever) than they care to invest in the canon relationships.  Also, it is not just one S&P scene, but a pattern of uncomfortable scenes since Season 6.  I am not saying Penny and Sheldon cannot be friends, but the lack of any boundaries and lack of moving out really make it very awkward.
