He also knows how to swim, he learned how off the internet and practiced on the floor. Knowing how to do something and actually doing it are two different things

I don't think anyone claimed that Sheldon was a "good" driver, just that he did know how to drive (as stated on the show).  My guess is that he is a nervous driver, and prefers not to if possible.  But that's besides the point.  Frankly, I find most Shamy fans to be quite upfront about Sheldon's faults.  I'm a big Sheldon fan, and I can say that he's arrogant, condescending and tends to be self involved.  But I think he has a lot of good traits too.  I have no illusions that he is the "perfect person who could do no wrong."

I like him, warts and all.  I'm sure you probably feel the same way about your ships.

Ok so the writing of this Claire/Raj/Emily thing is beyond a mess and I really doubt Claire was introduced just for this.

The break-up seems like its only purpose was to keep Emily out of the 200th episode. Claire said she wasn't interested before, so why is she (someone the show has made out to be the rational opposite of Raj) suggesting Emily is manipulating Raj? What information does Claire have about the situation to make that assessment? How much has Raj even told her about Emily?

Emily wanting Raj back does sound suspicious though, if anything she should be wanting Raj to grovel or done with him. Not sending him gifts. Their little argument over Sheldon showed at least a little bit of controlling behavior from Emily.

This is the second time the show has made Raj choose between two of his flames. If Emily's back for the rest of the season I hope they continue with this toxic relationship angle, it will at least add a purpose to Emily. I'm not sure how Claire will intervene yet, but hopefully Raj comes to a realization from this. I don't mind Claire being his "true one" if they rectify the sloppy introduction.

Barely got Penny their in one piece lol. Def does not mean he drives. Not saying there's anything wrong with that. Just stating some facts.

He emphasised later, to the extent of annoying a judge, that he was still on a learner's permit when he drove on that occasion, making Penny as the teacher responsible for his mistakes.

Question: what's the legal position in the US if when supervising a learner you're knowingly unfit through prior injury to take over a car ?

Someone supervising another driver can't take over the car while they are moving, so the injury doesn't really come into play.    That said, even those with no license are allowed to drive a car in a certified emergency.  As he was taking Penny to the hospital, even without a learners permit, Sheldon would be allowed to drive.

No more strange, IMO, than Lenny's relationship as newlyweds and all that comes with that, and the reason Amy decided to take Sheldon as status quo.  Off screen land is an interesting place...

Yeah. Apparently all the best episodes are there. Do you know what channel number it is on DirecTV? :icon_cheesygrin:

Do you enjoy re-watching Lenny break up storylines from seasons three and four because they eventually ended up together?

Lenny break up was much better written, IMO. In regards to Shamy breakup I can totally understand it, even if the timing of it seemed totally suspect to me. I believe it would have made more sense after Sheldon took off for 45 days without even initially saying goodbye to Amy. I also didn't agree with the way they got back specially because we never got to see Amy's side of things, from her viewpoint.
