There is a lot less of the stuff I really do not like. Fewer episodes like The Plimpton Stimulation and The Benefactor Factor which are the ones that make me want to put a paper bag over my head for being a fan of the series. I prefer the move to committed relationships and fewer or no hookups. There is also less excessive drinking.  No more endless fat jokes. The Force Awakens episode was great from the fantasy reference angle and Bob just gets better. The RF van was a great scoop in an innovative episode.

Yeah agreed. Watching s2 and I forgot how frustrating it was watching Penny not commit to Leonard. I prefer the show now in terms of central equbrolum being a constant. I like less drinking too. Shows refined now. Its easier to watch. I. Disliked s4 mostly. Due to the excessive drinking. And yes Plimpton was a low point. Funny but just juvenile.

Of course not. Science is one of my interests. I also like fantasy and technology.

I was so disappointed as a little kid to be told magic is not real. Seeing my disappointment my dad told me about science and technology. My grandfather told me about electrical engineering. Later I got a radio shack  little "digital computer" that could do some basic logic. I was hooked at a young age wondering how real computers worked.

I think that while Bernadette is also a supporting character she has been given more "independent" story lines, meaning that are mainly about her. In Amy's case (much to my dismay) TPTB don't seem to treat her like a real character which is , IMO a big mistake because when used correctly, Mayim can definitely be comedy gold. The biggest proof of this is the way we saw her character portrayed during the Shamy split. I was hoping week after week to see a little bit of Amy's point of view, but no, we saw nothing. IMO that is bad story telling, but what do I know?
