It seems all we know is Leonard, Raj, Stuart, and Howard appear to be in the lobby in a movie theater and Stuart was in a car with Amy. What else happens with the Sheldon Penny and Bernadette is anyone's guess. There is no guarantee how they fit or are with in the episode.

STOP BEING REASONABLE...what is wrong with you?  That's not how it works here. :icon_cheesygrin:

Great looks like another Shenny episode. Where penny & Sheldon? Probably being a nice guy to his best friends wife (bernie comes to mind, last TR) and with berverly. Leonard you are fucked.

Maybe Bernadette and Penny are helping Sheldon prepare things for a proposal he is going to make to Amy. :girlwink:   Still not sure how Beverly fits into all of this though....

That's would be great but as old school fans we know with Beverley on the show, its always going to be Sheldon centric. Bernie will be given a quick line and be gone, probably on the phone to Howard but has to stay at home cause you know not feeling well.

Whatever happens in 9×23 will be a continuation onto the final. It will be a 2 part story with a cliffhanger at the end involving lenny. I still think secrets will be revealed from the past or present.

I never read anywhere that is was a two parter. It mentioned Beverly was in both episodes though I suppose it could be skype. I'm not saying you're wrong but there is no guarantee Lenny is the cliffhanger.

Christine missed a big "Good Wife" event this weekend in New York.  I believe that is because she was already in  California for the table read and rehearsals for this episode.   I think she will be there in real life and not via Skype this time.

Now as far as a Lenny cliffhanger...no guarantees, but I would say it is very likely that they will have a cliffhanger.  But then again, the show has had all the couples have a cliffhanger before during a finale, so who knows?

On what. The two parter. You may be right but why would it be if the finale is a cliffhanger. That their breaking up? When the series end they will be together with their smart and beautiful baby. That Bernadette  will have one line. I'd bet on that one. That it will be a Shenny episode. If there in a scene together everyone considers it a Shenny episode. If Lenny is a cliffhanger. Probably but that goes for Shamy too.

I also believe the show needs to get back to situational comedy versus focus so much on relationship.  Let the relationships move forward, but let their jobs, experiments, hobbies, and even family bring on situations that can introduce some slap-stick fun again.   I mean who didn't love the episode where we learned how the elevator exploded, or the episode where the boys made their robot to race against Kripke,  or the Penny Blossoms episode where she wanted to start her business, etc. ?  Good situational comedy!

As a Shamy fan, one of the dreams that I think many share with me, is for Sheldon and Amy to be assigned a project together at Cal Tech.  It would be hilarious to see them not only working together but perhaps introducing some of her monkeys back into the mix to bring on some great situational comedy.   Maybe add Howard into the experiment they are working on and he brings in some robotic element to it.   Overall it could be loads of fun to watch if they would just write some situational comedy again.

P.S.  Oh and for those who are familiar with Modern Family who has done well in the awards arena - they focus much more on situational comedy and move relationships within the situations rather than focus on snark and drama to move them forward.   I really wish BBT would learn that you can move relationships forward within the comedic situations you create instead of constantly introducing drama and snarky meanness as a way to go week after week.

Oh I love Modern Family  :icon_biggrin:! Also love Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt :icon_biggrin:! They focus on situational humor and keep relationships progress organically or keep them in the background . I love watching characters/couples be happy and do funny stuff/have funny stuff happen to them, rather than have drama all the time.

I don't laugh while watching TBBT now. Every episode has to be about relationship angst/threats of breaking up/ drama  I think they just need to re-focus on situationally funny episodes(like Closure Alternative, Friendship Algorithm, Work Song Nanocluster, Werewolf Transformation or Cooper-Nowitzi Theorem)  while moving the couples forward at the same time in S10.  It can be done.

By the angsty discussions here(I'm guilty of that too Lol) , it seems like the focus is always on relationships or bashing characters.Personally, I find MF consistently funnier. Not that awards mean anything, but I can see why  Modern Family was a chosen over BBT always. Its the better sitcom.

Has anyone considered that the pictures we've seen are from one moment in the episode (we haven't seen yet) and maybe just maybe not capture the episode in its entirety?

Amy and Stuart: could be one scene with funny banter (maybe not)

Where's Sheldon?: maybe he is in the movie theatre just not in that particular moment (for whatever reason)

I know they say a picture says a thousand words, but I feel in this instance we just don't have the full story.

Speculation is fine

but that's all it is—speculation.

(not singling anyone out, just dropping in a friendly reminder that the taping is tomorrow so maybe leave the torches and pitchforks at home until after we have a TR

As much as I don't like to analyze ratings the numbers prove otherwise. TBBT been on longer and gets better ratings. I've tried watching MF I just don't laugh. It gets awards because it's PC and Hollywood likes that.

Pardon me for being blunt but "endgame" means nothing.

An all expenses paid trip to Disney world isn't worth having to take a journey naked on foot from LA to Orlando. The destination isn't as important as the journey.

And smart and beautiful babies isnt worth season after season of angst, uncertainty and just plain mean treatment of each other

Simply stated the end doesn't justify the means

Maybe Amy is dropping off Stuart, and picking up Sheldon from that line, hence the substitution.

That seems to be the most likely scenario with what little information we have. The "solution" part implies then that there's some sort of problem that needs to be solved with this so maybe Sheldon is needed or wants to be elsewhere at the same time because [plot reasons]. The question remains then with the boys waiting in line at the cinema how is the rest of the cast distributed across the other plot(s). Will it be the girls + Sheldon? Or are Penny and Bernie hanging out together while Shamy are off doing something completely different. And where will Beverly fit in? I vaguely remember Molaro mentioning wanting to explore Penny's relationship with her mother in law and it would be a good opportunity to do that now and not stuff everything into the finale when Leonard's dad and Mary also show up in some form.

Anyway, we'll find out soon! I'm very excited and a bit nervous for the TR tomorrow morning (my time zone). A lot of interesting stuff can come out of this - fingers crossed!

Maybe it's will wheaton's documentary?!?

It's Adam Nimoy's documentary. And since you brought it up, actually the first screenings of the first cut were held recently. The latest update from their kickstarter, for anyone who's interested:

The problem to me is the overanalysis of each tapingThe Instagram that was posted on here means nothing also. A picture of a scene from an upcoming episode with the guys was analyzed into Leonard pondering his marital problems or something bad happened to his Dad. I get why I people are down on Penny but I haven't seen an episode this season that has been as bad as analyzed by some on here. I certainly agree it hasn't been a good season overall but if people would wait to see the episode instead of going over the top before hand they may have a better outlook. I agree the babies at the end isn't worth the wait but is complaining about episode after episode worth the effort?

While you may feel others over analyze or complain too much, that is allowed, so please don't tell or imply to others what they should or shouldn't post.  With our recent rules update, telling others what to post, or or commenting about the tone or how posters express their comments is what is not allowed.

Well, I plan for every episode to be a major Shenny plot.  And if it's not, then YAY!!!!!  That way I keep my expectations low.

I remember how disappointed we all were with "Intimacy Acceleration" when no one expected a Sheldon and Penny plot.  So I have learned my lesson to not get my hopes up too high with any taping!

Not sure about the cart....but wondering if Lenny and Leonard's parents are in the apartment having a "discussion" and Sheldon is knocking before entering?   Or....the cart and Amy's purse intrigue me....is she moving in and Lenny out?   Very curious photo!
