BUT, I just can't see these writers giving us a Lenny-perfect Redo. They seem to forgotten how. If they're going add more angst by having a Redo, I'd rather them not have one at all. The thought of Penny running (questioning the marriage), even if things work better in the end, is an unbearable thought at this point. No need for this in a sitcom, at least for me.  Don't need another summer like last summer.

If lenny renew their vows it seems like penny is the consensus choice to have second thoughts about the marriage i think if tptb want drama it should be leonard having second thoughts

Going out on a limb here and say when she writes "shamy cuteness in the final for once" she means "shamy cuteness in the final for once". S7 ended with Sheldon leaving on a train and a distressed Amy, S8 ended with Amy taking a break - neither are particularly cute situations for us fans especially with a long summer hiatus.

More happy endings for everyone please! Except Raj maybe. Ugh Raj.

I meant for the final, the last 2 seasons have been not so cute for shamy, what with Sheldon running away and then shamy break up

That sounds great, but they have to have drama for one of them and Raj is set up best for some real drama.

Why does someone have to have drama?  Just because it's the finale doesn't mean there has to be drama.  Even so, it would be more likely to be on the funnier side, or maybe the side of some kind of resolution for him, like the break-up with Lucy enabled him to talk to women without the aid of alcohol.

Lucy dumping him wasn't funny, but his realization that he could talk to Penny while sober was the upside, and then his non-stop rambling in the tag was the comedy that came out of it.

I don't know where all this "Penny's going to question the marriage" stuff comes from.  Has she ever expressed any regret about marrying Leonard?  No matter how much she teases him about his sexual prowess or his nerdy pursuits or whatever, she never seems to doubt her decision to marry him.

I think that whatever ups and downs come out of it will come from juggling the parents, especially for Leonard.  If both his parents are there and they're not on speaking terms or are at odds or whatever, and maybe Leonard and Penny have to present united front to keep the peace, or to reassure themselves that their marriage will be better than the Hofstadters.  Or whatever.

There are so many more possibilities than the constant suggestion of L/P angst or one of them running away or whatever.

There is no story behind...simply there was nobody from this forum at the taping; it may happen sometimes. The only information we got were from a friend of a forum member who provided her some tidbits  (and she was so kind to share them with us).

Finally. I don't get where this is coming from either. There hasn't been a single clue that Penny regrets marrying Leonard.

Even the sexual prowess thing is probably just teasing. I mean she admitted that he completely rocked her world in bed. I imagine that's not exactly the easiest thing with an experienced person like Penny.

it would be a good way to wrap things up. The show started with the premise that these two will get married so ending the show with a renewal of vows and Penny finding out she is pregnant and Leonard turning to Sheldon with a smirk saying, " See... I told you our babies will be smart and beautiful." and then it fades out. I would actually enjoy that.

Naw. Probably the tag of the FINAL episode will be in the future with Sheldon (and Amy) arriving at the Hoffsteder house and the kids running to Uncle Sheldon or doing something in the background and Leonard saying "see, I told you, our babies would be beautiful and smart".

Did they ask the audience NOT to talk about the 9:23 taping because there is a big surprise?  I mean, there are usually comments all over and entertainment outlets fighting to talk about the final episodes of the favorite shows.

That is true, Penny never has said anything bad about her marriage to Leonard and has always been positive when asked about it.  Her problems and regrets seemed centered around now entering her 30's and not being where she hoped she would be concerning her career.  Plus as she gets older she is getting pulled from the carefree life she seemed to enjoy years ago, it is actually a feeling many people get when they turn 30.  But if anything, Leonard and her marriage to him has been her rock to move forward and keep going into this scary unknown for her.
