Ranger Rosa
Malfred anybody? I think they did what they did because Alfred doesn't seem to like Bev anymore and Mary never liked her. Sometimes love comes from rage, I guess it should be the case here. Beverly seems more human now, imo. So answering your question: Malfred no, for now. wannabechef07
Meh I'm happy about the whole thing. We've already seen the vows. It's nice to see them being celebrated as a couple :D
luminous
What do the lennies feel about a redo that wasn't seen? Doesn't bother me at all. Considering the gloomy predictions for Lenny in the season finale, I'm more than happy with the outcome.
delsino
Also to add/follow up on the summary, I don't know if there was an "off camera redo wedding" or just dinner celebrating the wedding, they talked about a ceremony in the beginning but if you follow the timeline in the rest of the episode, it seems like they went right to the dinner reservations from the apartment. Also the government/Air Force is just inquiring about the project, and raj thinks it's to give them money, but Howard is paranoid they want to take over the project and they will "get him" if he doesn't allow them Edited April 27, 2016 by delsino

Agree...a drama free and rather funny episode. Sounds like it will be very "feel good" overall. I know we don't have any clues on the direction they will take in S10 premiere (which usually finales give us some hint of what the premiere may address), but I am okay with that. We can speculate away all summer and perhaps by Comic-Con they will be able to give us some clues. May be too early to drop any at Upfronts in May...but certainly by Comic Con they should be able to drop some hints. Just hope they participate and would love it if they had some cast at it this year.

Cherry
This episode is good surprise. No drama, and no out of the blue cliffhanger. After a horrible season, it's good to end on a positive note.

mirs1
Just a thought...Since Penny was so specific about the ceremony, with Bernie celebrating it and Amy maid of honor (well, TBH Amy strongly suggested that, LOL), maybe there's a chance it can happen in Season 10 premiere and the dinner in the finale was just a "welcome" dinner for the parents. CB is apparently free now (since the Good wife ended) so she could make it for the Season premiere, I don't know if she or the other actors have other plans for next fall. Anyhow, I'd like to see if Malfred is a "thing"...I knew that Shelnard were meant to be brothers!!! As for the finale as a whole, it was fun and lighthearted, so I'm happy for it. No major stuff addressed, but I was expecting it, as long as it is not a train wreck as Season 8 finale, it's all good. It sounds like the writers are aware they have some more seasons than expected (at least Season 11) so they are slowing down even more than usual....TBH, I'd rather preferred that at least the Raj plot was solved, I never enjoyed his "dating two girls" stuff and the whole plot was handled very poorly; we don't even know if Emily is aware that she is not in an exclusive relationship (Claire apparently will discover it in this week episode, I'm curious to see how she reacts...) Anyway, I liked this season more than Season 8... Edited April 27, 2016 by mirs1

I Miss Dan
Its so unfair--pretty Penny has had 3 weddings now, and Bernadette, who doesn't want kids is pregnant. Meanwhile, Amy who has wanted a husband and kids to love all along is still driving Sheldon on his errands and then going home alone. I'm not even interested in Season 10 anymore. JE7
The redo (maybe just the vows) could have been pretaped but not shown as a SUPRISE in the finale. Anyway, I liked this season more than Season 8... It is possible, but to be frank, I suspect Christine will be snatched up right away now that she is available. She is a very popular actress and can do both comedy and drama equally well. I suspect that she will not remain unemployed long. I am betting that she already has a lot of projects that want her and she is having to look through and see if any interest her. I know she wants time off for the summer to enjoy her time off, but by Fall I would be stunned if she was still available. I know there have been rumors that they may do a spin-off of The Good Wife with her....and that would not surprise me at all. I'm sorry, but can you remind me of all the times Amy has talked about how much she wants kids and how desperate she is to get married? I am sure she would love all those things with Sheldon. But let's not act like it has been a major issue for her. I think at the end of the day she has just wanted to plan a future with Sheldon, how ever that shakes out, as long as they are together. serena_1995
Irony . Penny gets 2 weddings and Bernie is pregnant(she didn't even want kids !!!!!) . Yet, Amy who was the only one of the girls to explicitely describe her dream wedding on screen and many times talked about kids with Sheldon, gets nothing. Only time writers focus on Shamy is when they are fighting. And they constantly blocked Sheldon's attempts to propose. Not saying, its always on her mind , but the way they have changed Amy-she seems like the most traditional one so it would be more in character for her to get a romantic wedding arc. Don't know what to expect anymore. Edited April 27, 2016 by Serena_nyc1995
wowbagger
I feel bad for using this here, when I will almost certainly use it again for the actual finale, but: This is the way the season ends. This is the way the season ends. This is the way the season ends. Not with a bang, but a whimper. @Itwasdestined once remarked that the show was like sketch comedy, full of vignettes that might be individually funny but didn't add up to a cohesive whole. I'll go further and say it's like an absurdist drama- if there is a meaning at all, it's that it's absurd to expect any meaning. People come, people go, people laugh, people cry, people hug, people yell, and none of it means a damn thing, because here comes an anaphylactic shock to -not end a storyline, you understand. Storylines don't end on this show. They stop. And then they start again (They get knocked down/But they get up again/You're never gonna keep them down...) 1) Leonard made a confession. It was badly written, completely unearned and obviously done for shock value, but it was a confession of something major. But Penny forgave him, because she loves him. Fair enough. And then Leonard and Penny got married, and Sheldon hijacked the whole thing with his personal drama, leading to a (badly written, completely unearned etc.) break-up- happening at the precise point that we would otherwise have found out Penny's surname! Phew. I was worried how they were going to get out of that one! 2) And so Leonard and Penny are married. Married, but not living in their own flat, because they are tending to Sheldon (and also because Leonard has just as much separation anxiety as Sheldon, maybe?) And one obvious, obvious source of comedy (viz. Sheldon and Penny climbing the wall because they are so different) is basically neglected except for one throwaway remark on a psychiatrist's couch. Uh-huh. Because all that conflict might.....prompt the discussion of why the hell the three of you are still living together? Gotcha. Instead, Penny is the only one who can make Sheldon take his medicine. Sure, sure, why not. 3) And the only other time anyone shows annoyance about the living situation, it is Leonard who gets aggrieved. Leonard, who.....also had a verrrrrry weird snit at Amy about who gets to deal with Sheldon's tantrums, based on who has seen Sheldon semi-naked/whom Sheldon has seen semi-naked? Which, to Penny's credit, she sort of brings up, and is an interesting point......and is therefore obviously going to be hustled under the carpet because of Howard's pistachio allergy or something. Rrrrriiiiiggggght. 4) So, anyway, Leonard and Penny. Living with Sheldon. Keeping secret bank accounts. Stewing about growing up. Having very few ongoing conversations with each other. Because.......doing so might prompt a discussion about why the hell they are paying rent for two places (especially with Penny's Magically Reappearing Debt) when they are only living in one? Because couples are only funny if they are constantly snarking and hiding things from each other? 5) And Sheldon and Amy. Breaking up! Getting back together! Having sex! Lapsing promptly into Season Seven patterns of Amy seesawing between moaning about Sheldon and holding his hand sympathetically! Bragging about the progress they have made! Never mind that said progress seems to be backwards! With the sole exception of an annual sex event, which Sheldon greeted with the rapturous ecstasy of a man being given socks for his birthday! Good socks, you understand- a luxurious organic soy-cotton blend (little 'Community' reference for @nickelette424 there). All that agita! All that angst! All of it led up to this! 6) And now the finale. Living arrangements yet to sort out, Chekhov's Engagement Ring roaming around at large, Penny's disaffection, Leonard's separation anxiety, all brought up at various points, a roster of guest stars, all of whom are ringers and whose relationships with the main cast could at least prompt interesting narrative directions.......and, impressively, every time-every time- the show goes for the , stalest, lowest-hanging fruit instead. Could the Hofstadters' marriage spark honest communication between Lenny and get them to introspect and/or move out? Could Mary's intervention smooth over some of the bumps in said communication? Could Penny and Leonard's conflicts have time to breathe? Silly rabbit. Why would we want such a thing, when we have an offscreen wedding and a Mary/pere Hofstadter hookup to look forward to? Why would we deal with adult conflict when we can once again titter over thirtysomething men blenching at the thought of their parents' sexuality? Which, FYI, we already had with Sheldon discovering Mary's hookup when he visited Texas with Howard, continuing this season's extended blow-job to the Halcyon Days of Whenever The Hell Season Seven Was. 7) And Ugh, Raj. I just....I can access the vitriol, but I swear my brain-cells are committing spontaneous suicide. 'Don't', the rest are saying. 'The sun is shining, and you have 'How to Steal a Million' on streaming video. Leave us some capacity for joy.' And so I'm sitting here, scratching my head, and thinking 'So....did any of that mean anything?' I'll borrow @tallin's erudition again, and say: 'Let's go'. 'We can't.' 'Why not?' 'We're waiting for Godot.' 'And when Godot comes?' 'We'll be saved.' Edited April 27, 2016 by wowbagger Forgot to thank all those who kindly provided TRs, and those who compiled them! My apologies, and thanks for all the yeoman service!
