Leonard also indicated that he could easily have gone to prison if his friends had turned him in for misusing that rocket fuel. So, he surely knows government requirements for these research projects. It is a little silly that Howard and Leonard never thought of military applications of their new guidance system. Come on! Jonny
I can only speak for myself but I've enjoyed Season 9 on the whole from what I've seen so far and that's accepting that this season has had a considerably different atmosphere compared to previous seasons. This season has probably had more drama, angst and heartbreak than any of the previous seasons and has been considerably heavier in tone than anything they have ever done. Sure it did lift considerably around the halfway point but the season will be always remembered for the bleak, in some storylines borderline heart-breaking narrative at the start of the season. I wouldn't consider myself a really emotional guy but I actually did shed a tear or two during this season, something that I have never done before watching this show. I think the actors and actresses should be applauded for managing to pull it off. Some may be unhappy with some of the writing or the direction of certain characters but I don't really think the actors have declined in any way and have had to act out their characters very differently this season at times. That's not always as easy when you have played pretty much the same overall type of character for some time. I actually found myself glued to the television just as much as I ever have been. Did I laugh as much? In some episodes I did, in some I didn't but that was acknowledging 'wow this season feels a lot different, a lot heavier'. There are some directions or storylines I wasn't a fan of and would have liked to see differently, but there were some that I loved. If you had 100 forum posters in a room and asked them which are your favorite seasons or favorite episodes you would get a lot of different answers. That's one of the strong points about this show, sometimes an idea for a episode works out sometimes it doesn't, some people may like a particular scene or episode some people may not. It would be boring if we all had the same opinion. The Spock Resonance, Earworm Reverberation,The Bachelor Party Corrosion, Big Bear were probably my favorites with the magnum opus of the season being The Opening Night Excitation which is as good as anything they have ever done on the show IMO. But I have enjoyed certain plots and scenes in other episodes as well, and to be honest some that I haven't liked. But on the whole I've liked more than I've disliked. I'm hoping for a lighter, more comedy less drama type of season for Season 10. I think there is the potential to be quite a bit of drama with some of the ongoing storylines but I am hoping there will be less of it. By the looks of it some of the characters are in a better place mentally going into Season 10 than they were going into Season 9 so I am pretty hopeful and looking forward to Season 10. Ranger Rosa
I just watched the episode. So the reason why Air Force tried to contact the boys at the finale was explained. I guess that they'll keep trying to do it at season 10. Zack really looked smarter than in other appearances, and his jokes were awesome! He doesn't look that dumb anymore. His interaction with Claire makes me think why Raj is doing that to her (I don't care about Emily lol). He wants so bad to be a stallion and will probably end up alone. Zack and Claire had a good chemistry. Maybe they can have something, maybe not. Only God can say what comes next. (God=The Writers) lol

In 5.13 he talks about a new grant with military applications... (he considers false hopes but the money is good) Quote Leonard: Uh, let’s see. Uh, I am an experimental physicist at Cal-Tech, most of my research is with high-powered lasers, and, oh, I’ve just gotten a big government grant to see if they can be used to knock out incoming ballistic missiles. Penny: Wow. Can they? Leonard: Oh, God, no. The money’s pretty good. And I used the equipment to make my own Bat-signal. Well have a look at Zack and Amy is well developed in comparison. Perfor they needed someone so stupid that Penny would agree that he was too stupid to tolerate. This episode they needed something different. Welcome to sitcom inconsistency. Perhaps we will find some day that old zack was actually on some uppers and living on four hours of sleep. You thought of it September 22nd, 2007. Two days later, Penny moved in, and so much blood rushed to your genitals, your brain became a ghost town. Leonard: That’s not what happened. Sheldon: I remember it distinctly because I had just composed my annual poem commemorating the anniversary of Dr. Seuss’s death. edit (can't resist adding this link and quote...) https://www.psychologytoday.com/blog/beautiful-minds/200905/interacting-women-makes-men-stupid Quote Interacting with women makes men stupid ... Johan C. Karremans and colleagues at Radboud University of Nijmegen in The Netherlands tested the prediction that mixed-sex interactions temporarily cause a decline in cognitive functioning. [snip] All together, these results suggest that there may indeed be something special about mixed-sex interactions that impair cognitive functioning. But what's driving these effects? The authors suggest that these effects may be due to self-presentational concerns when interacting with someone of the opposite sex compared to the same sex. Since impression management isn't easy (it requires careful cognitive control as one is constantly monitoring and modifying one's behavior), it can be very effortful and cognitvely demanding, thus depleting an individual's cognitive resources (consistent with Roy Baumeister's self-regulatory resource model) and therefore can result in declined cognitive performance after the interaction. 2L344
okay I'll play devil's advocate... A lot of folks here have been condemning Raj this season for his dating of both Emily and Claire. I havent been passionate about doing so without knowing more, specifically what "understanding" both of the women have (we all know Claire is familiar with Emily's attempt to get back with Raj but less so about what Emily knows about Claire). In this latest episode Leonard asks Raj if they know about each other and Raj said they do- they understand they are not exclusively dating and are "keeping it casual" and not asking too many questions. Mystery solved (providing he didnt lie to Leonard). So if thats the case, why make Raj a super villain in all this? If he in fact has been honest to them both isnt it up to Emily and Claire if they want to continue dating Raj? The last episode alludes to Claire believing Raj outed himself with dating "lots" of women, which we know isnt the case. As for Raj actingnlike a DB about it, now THAT I get. Nothing that Howard didnt do while dating Bernie and rubbing Raj's nose in it. But yeah I get it...but I dont think Raj is this despicable guy for dating two women that presumably know about one another based on his talk with Leonard. We just havent heard much of anything from Emily since the break up to see what she's thinking... Edited May 2, 2016 by 2L344

We just havent heard much of anything from Emily since the break up to see what she's thinking... He is not a villain for dating two girls. He can date as many girls as he can, as long as he can manage it. It doesn't seem that he is doing it very well to me. He is getting confused, Claire thinks that he is with Emily and that she is the other, not that he is with them both (and not with them both at the same time. Schrödinger's Raj here lol). Eventually he will have to choose one of them. Someone will get tired, either Emily will suspect that something wrong isn't right or Claire will find a guy that treat her as a exclusevely girlfriend or want her to be Raj's exclusive, or both will confront him and say "what the fuck you think you're doing?". I, honestly, rather see him with Claire. Sure, if writers start caring about his storylines.
MTBigBangTheoryFan
Raj can date Two Women if he want as long as neither relationships are 'exclusive' and if he was just a bachelor. The problem is (and is why many people have called him a D-bag) is because he leading both Emily and Claire to believe that he not dating anyone else and that they are the only ones although in the last episode it seem that Claire may be getting suspicious, Claire knows about Emily but she has never met her yet. And then he bragging about it. That is worst then anything Howard has done. As far as we know Raj and Emily are exclusive (although they are not anymore) so Raj is cheating on Emily. Not sure why none of the others have not brought that up Edited May 2, 2016 by MTBigBangTheoryFan
