I watch the show because it's funny.  It's up to the writers when they pick up the Shamy intimacy thread again, which I'm sure will happen, sooner or later.  Until then, have a wonderful day.

I've learned not to put too much into Mayim's interpretation on things.  She has her own take, but it's not necessarily what Joe Q Public thinks.  Didn't she call the episode where they broke up fun and exciting or something like that?  There are lots of other examples where I haven't quite seen what she saw.

Good call nibbler.  Mayim has a different way of looking at things (although I really enjoy her!!).  I also believe that she does not have a television and does not watch episodes (?).....correct me if I am wrong....

Nope, she doesn't. However, I remember she did a live tweet thingy for that episode.

None of that matters here though cause she literally did not say what Lady in Red assumes she said. Like, be critical of Mayim's opinions all you want but let's not throw her under the bus for things she didn't even say.

I agree with this. 

I think Professor Proton means since life is limited, Amy can only have so many birthdays. The movie will be on for maybe a month or longer. He can go see it any other day. It'll still be the same movie. But if he misses this birthday, there'll be one less birthday for him and Amy to spend together.

Look I don't see any desire from Sheldon in 9x11 either. But I really don't think this sentence indicate that Sheldon thinks if they don't have sex, Amy will leave him hence "their time together is limited". That doesn't make any sense. Becasue if that's what he means, he should've had sex with Amy right after their reconciliation, no need to wait for her birthday, since their time together is so "limited".

I don't know if she doesn't have a television, maybe she has the device, she just doesn't use it that often. For sure, she doesn't watch the show, but she made an exception for 9.11; she live-tweeted during the episode, commenting it and spilling the beans about some  BTS. That was pretty funny...

Yes, because he was excited about the laptop and it was a Sheldon thing to do to send her home to try it out. We don't know what happenned next. We already know he has a deal since he has said so himself (among other things).

Given the history we all know they can spend hours talking on Skype. Or at times not really talking but just being present to each other. I see no reason to think Sheldon went out that night.

I can imagine the break up was fun to act. It might have been less fun for us though.

Judged by the changes that sometimes occur between the TRs and the finished product we see a fortnight or so later,what's been in the script that the studio audience saw and what we see on the TV after the editing can be different things. It's small wonder if any of the cast, who start the next script immediately after the taping anyway, occasionally think of some aspect of the plot from another angle.

I love TRs and I miss the Wednesday morning chats.

Not a big deal for some of us. The breakup lasted longer than I expected but still I figured it could not last too long and I figured it would serve some purpose. We got some funny stuff in the process.

Their first time (which he liked) was never going to be portrayed as just a spontaneous romp in the sheets since it was supposed to be a big step for them. As for his interest after that, there's nothing to indicate that he wants/doesn't want to do it again. The writers are dragging this out for all it's worth. As for the casual kiss you mention, that's funny, because they haven't even kissed after sex in any ep. I'm pretty sure though that that doesn't mean something in particular in-show.

Judith: If he has desires, why hasn't he shown any interest in Amy after the coitus episode? I mean Amy has suggested it several times but he is as oblivious as can be.

You guys bored huh? Not used to no angst? haha. This show is pretty much over now Leonard and Penny are married. I mean all theyu are doing is dragging out the process aren't they. If show got cancelled tommorro not sure i would care. As for Sheldon having a deal? Well that was established in S2 when PEnny asked what is his deal? The guys said they were going under the pre disposition he has none. Well he banged Amy. So their you go. Different in Lennys case. Penny's slept with several types of guys. So its just experiece.

We have not met Penny's brother. Leonard's father has more to contribute yet I think. There will be star wars movies until we are old and gray (almost there). TBBT is king of the current sitcoms line up still. It is not going away yet.

There is still more to come, just because Lenny are married doesn't mean it's all over, there is 7 characters to show
