With Shamy it is like 100 steps forwards, 1000 steps backwards. So I guess I was just confused at a break after 5 years. IS Sheldon really that clueless, or does he just choose to be. Yeah, for what it's worth, engaged people can look around too. Lotta options out there...Them being engaged isn't any sort of guarantee... IF Lenny did, seeing they are the central couple of the show, and the writing is centred around them. Well the show would be ruined imo. The whole premise of the show is Leonard meeting this hot girl next door. It is like in Friends when Ross grabbed a spoon, it drew the audience in for ten years. Same here the masses root for Lenny, that is the main story. So it would be a buzz kill if it diddn't work out for them, even though it well. Despite some pretty obvious hints from the writers, Lenny weren't actually a couple in Seasons 1 and 2 and again, the show still survived. They weren't together in Season 4 either. While the dynamics would certainly change, I don't think a breakup of either couple would necessarily spell disaster for the show. Maybe not so muc 1-5, but now definately. I mean it has been prooven Leonard is the social nucleus of the group. So the day L/P decide to move, I think the gang would go hang out at their place lol. So from a writing stand point, it is key they stay together, as it is with Shamy. Although Shamy being friends for a while, would not be the worst thing in the world, their is no rush imo. 3ku11 Posted August 2, 2015 Posted August 2, 2015 Well let's be honest Lenny ain't the event they once were. in 1-3 they were the priority as they were 1. The original couple 2. Only couple. Their is four couples in the show now to be exact. So I think the show has been over crowded by too many characters imo, and the writers have struggled to accustomize. Particularly for Lenny, who have just been put in the background. Either because they are so solid and strong, have hit end game so early, not much you can do at this point. They have changed in so many areas from beginning to end. I am still hoping for a L/P road trip, if that happens then who cares haha.
