TBH, I find it beyond belief.

How can you honestly not tell the difference, between a real life penis, and a silicone one huh.gif

Perhaps their husbands' ones aren't very lifelike and they're not used to anything else ? :)

Okay, what would your response to being played/tricked/manipulated/conned (pick your favourite verb) into having sex with someone be? Tinkling laughter? An "oh you!" And only finding out you've been played/tricked/manipulated/conned because the person playing/tricking/manipulating/conning you bragged about it to his friend, who told his wife, who was rightfully disgusted and who told you in order that you should no longer be played/tricked/manipulated/conned into having sex with this person.

I think he got off lightly.  If it was me being played/tricked/manipulated/conned then, trust me, that fella's dick would defo not be working for a while!

Incidentally, what do you think of these cases where girls have dressed as boys to trick other girls (who are not gay/bi) into having sex with them?

Personally I think it's not okay to trick someone into having sex with you. How 'bout you?

That is not the point.

In your initial comment, you seemed to suggest that it is OK for Penny to continue to be dismissive, bitter, and harsh in communications with Leonard for an event that happened four shows into Season 7. You are OK with condoning her snarky, bitchy Season 9 behavior for an event which happened two seasons ago. Leonard acted badly and Penny took a psychological knife to his genitals. I don't think he still needs to be clobbered over the head for it.

The way you are extrapolating this beyond a TBBT discussion is mind boggling. FYI, I choose not to discuss with you my thoughts regarding 'these cases where girls have dressed as boys to trick other girls (who are not gay/bi) into having sex with them?' How you even felt that it was appropriate to add this to our discussion is astonishing.

No, that wasn't my point at all.  My point was that Penny has been burnt by showing sympathy for Leonard, he took advantage of her good nature and intentions for his own benefit, and she's not stupid enough to fall for it again. That doesn't make her bitter, and protecting yourself from someone who would take advantage given the chance is not holding a grudge, it's simple self preservation and common-sense. Clearly, after marrying a man who just owned up to cheating (and sat on this for 2 years) Penny is not someone who holds a grudge.

So you do admit Leonard acted badly? Well, good for you.  What concerned me was that you seemed to be condoning his dickish behaviour because, well y'know, he's just a loveable scamp isn't he, that Leonard, he means no harm? Which is rich considering the rejection of this argument from those who use it to excuse Sheldon's dickish behavior on here! The cases I quoted (girls disguised as boys) was an extreme example of tricking a person into having sex with you, that's all. Frankly, it confused me that you seemed to be defending Leonard's actions. If you admit he was wrong, why did you even try to defend his actions I wonder?

It seems the whole scenario would of been avoided if she hadn't had Beverly's book. She knows his mother is a sore subject and then she persistently kept asking questions about the book. Did Leonard take possibly milk getting sex for all it was worth?  Yes. It must have difficulty for Penny to have to have sex with Leonard. Poor girl. I don't blame Penny for being mad at Leonard. Though IMO the punishment ,of involving Beverly to get "even",didn't fit the crime.

In the be careful for what you wish for department....I just read that Stana Katic is out as Beckett on Castle.  Not sure if it is rumor or if it is true, but there is no telling what may come your way when you are a huge fan of a television show......

It seems to be pretty much confirmed from what I could gather - they even have those typical interviews where everyone is wishing each other all the best for the future in a tactically polite way. The official reason is something about the budget but who knows what went down behind the scenes.

After Sleepy Hollow only a little over a week ago this is now the second show of that kind, as in "unlikely m/f team investigate stuff, shipping ensures", that cuts out its female lead. ughh

Yeah, I had heard that about Sleepy Hollow.  I stopped watching it last season, but did enjoy season 1.

I'm still so mad about what they did with her exit. Just as I thought the show was kinda sorta getting back on track in S3 and then they end it like that!?!? /incoherent rage

I heard rumours they'll be doing something like that with Castle as well. I don't even watch the show but I'm pretty certain this won't go down well with the fans.

^^^It does get people talking about the shows.  It may also bring in new and/or lapsed viewers, but yeah.  I've seen some very not happy posts on tumblr & twitter.

I think the gain/loss balance will be tipped against the show's favour after such a stunt since shows like this are built about the chemistry of their m/f lead dynamic. The X-Files barely got away with Mulder's absence in S8/9 and people still hate those episodes without him. It's been like 15 years or so and I can still see people write long angry rants about it on the internet. lol

Totally agree.  Not sure what the behind-the-scenes situation is, but the end result is that Castle is going to be a totally different program....

Could not begin to imagine if a similar situation occurred on TBBT.

@Judith  LOL. yeah, I remember reading about Kris' hairstylist. He could totally be  the dad. Though I also heard, Khloe's daddy could be Lionnel Ritchie or OJ(shudder !!) . You know,  like Sheldon said, she looks nothing like Kim or Kourtney. Me thinks, Khloe  doesn't look much like Kris either or her bro,  Rob for that matter .

OJ? That would be so messed up :D I see a bit of Kris in Khloe but with Kris' original face. Now Rob, I can't be sure. He looks a bit similar to her with more weight on, maybe.

off topic...:offtopic:

my computer is dying ( no, i won't hold a brief ceremony for it nor will i take it to my hoarder's warehouse o' fun) so i was looking at newer models ( mine is 8 years old with Windows Vista and just 2GB of RAM). TBBT has actually helped me pick out a laptop ( not like Sheldon's- those are too expensive for me) based on some of the characteristics mentioned on the show. I was reading the description and i was proud to know what 4K resolution is. :)

now back to your discussion....

'Forest Gump' was on TV tonight. As I was watching it, there were certain characteristics that reminded me of Sheldon. Is it just me?

If you really want to see someone who in real life was a lot like Sheldon watch The Imitation Game, Alan Turing was a lot like Sheldon.

He was also a great man who society used then threw away.

This pisses me of so much. I totally agrees with you @luminous

I'm sorry but this is not that simple.  Zoo and circus animals are not fed live bloody food for a reason, people work around them and they do not want the animals to think of them as food.  That is why in the wild, if a lion kills a human the villagers will hunt it because it is now a man-eater, that same kind of situation happens with large predators in captivity.  So they didn't just kill the lions because they were mauling the man, the lions also now became more dangerous to every human that had to work with them because they basically attacked the hand that feeds them.

Also people who seriously try to commit suicide usually have a temporary mental problem and need help, I sorry to read people think a person with mental or maybe just an emotional problem, that their life is worth less than two lions.  Would you feel different if it was a trouble making 7 year old girl who the lions were mauling instead of a adult male, because somehow her life is more valuable than his.

I don´t see the point in killin the lions. In zoos in Sweden the vets uses  tranquilizer gun when something needs to be done with the animals.

Animals to me is just as important as humans.
