Hi all! I hate that I missed the ticket window this morning for 10/20, that date would have been perfect. The site says they may release more guaranteed tickets later, does that actually happen in your experience?

It's happened very rarely that they add more guaranteed tickets. What they are more likely to do is add more standby tickets later. I'm not even sure if they've put standby up at all, since they no longer release them right after guaranteed sells out. Their new system seems very arbitrary and unpredictable. Your best bet is to wait for standby to show up on the website, or email Audiences Unlimited to inquire about acquiring a ticket.

I just joined the site, so this is my first post.

My boyfriend and I are both super big fans of the show. We live in The Netherlands. Earlier this year I proposed to him, so in December we are getting married! Since we wouldn't have the time to honeymoon after we decided to do it before our wedding. We decided on Los Angeles and a few weeks on Hawaii.

We thought it would be cool to visit a taping of the show. The 20th of October was the only filming date while we are in LA. So..yesterday we went to the site, refreshing and refreshing, but the site was so slow! It took minutes to refresh and when we were finally connected the tickets were already gone.

We were both quite unhappy with it, because it was our pre honeymoon and also very close to my birthday. My fiancee decided to mail them our story, including that we missed a filming date last year, because of the contract negotiations. We expected a 'we are sorry, but nothing can be done' mail, but instead we got a pretty fast reply saying they had added our names to the priority ticket database for the 20th. We don't need to print a ticket (though, we sure as hell are bringing the mail just in case) and just be on time.

As longtime fans of the show you can understand we are pretty happy right now :D now a few questions:

- we dont have a car in LA, so will be traveling by bus. What time is recommended if you have priority tickets? We want to have good spots, so we were thinking 2pm or something?

I saw the video about where the line starts. Is that where we are supposed to go when we arrive with bus? Or do we need to check in somewhere else first? I thought that was a bit unclear.

- are you allowed to bring food in the studio's? If we buy..Lets say cookies..and dont finish them while in line..can you bring them inside to eat? My boyfriend cant eat pizza, so...

- since we dont have a car or watch..would it be able to bring a phone anyway and just pick it up again after the taping?

Thanks in advance!!

congratulations!

The first 2 rows are always reserved for VIPs, so you'll never get absolutely in the front.  And the further back you are,  the higher up,  so you actually get a better view of the 3 main sets. So, I wouldn't worry about trying to get a better seat.  Buffer time for missing a bus, meeting other fans,  or doing a WB tour would be good,  though.

If you have no where to stow your phone,  bring it anyway and security will hold it for you during the taping.  They will understand. They just can't do it for all 200 people.

You can bring your own food and drink,  but don't expect to be able to really chow down until pizza time. Practice your favorite Netherlands song and maybe Mark Sweet will throw you a piece of candy.

Thank you for the fast response! If we arrive at 1pm/2pm, do we need to check in somewhere, or just go where the line starts? :)

just go to the line outside.  Standby and priority will be mixed together. Later they'll take you inside the parking structure and separate you into 2 lines and check you in. If you want to do a tour first,  make sure you buy tickets online ahead of time. They will sell out by the time the day arrives.

We already did the WB tour last summer when we were in LA, so it's just the taping for us on that day. We're also going to a taping of ''Crowded'', mainly because we love Carrie Preston (who is starring on that show), but also because we love TV in general and want to see as much as possible, haha. Also still waiting for Jimmy Kimmel tickets. TBBT tickets were the most important though. Dream come true. An autograph would be cool (from Kaley please!), but seeing the actors live will already make it one of the best days ever!

It was great to find this site today, and all the awesome info!

My wife and I will be flying to LA from Nashville to hopefully attend next week's taping (9/29). I say "hopefully" because we're on the standby list. My questions are about parking and timing. When does the Gate 3 parking garage open so that we can park and wait in the outside "guaranteed+standby mixed" line? Also, if we tried to do the earliest WB studio tour that morning (8:00am, ending by 10:30am) would that end early enough to allow us to drive to the other side of the studio and park at Gate 3 to still get a good standby position for the 2 of us? If it's too risky, I would definitely forego the studio tour and wait longer in the line.

Thanks in advance for any advice!

First of all, congrats on the tickets! You'll have so much fun.

If I have priority, I like to arrive by 2pm. That typically puts you in the first batch of guaranteeds that get admitted to the studio, which means you'll be as close to the front as possible. You will, however, likely be in the left-middle section which is in front of the elevator set. But there's really no bad seat in the house.

The bus does stop right outside the line (if you're taking the Metro 222) so it's easy to hop off and get in line. If you show up around 2pm, the line should be outside where indicated in the video. If you arrive and the line is outside, just get in the back of the line. If there's no line outside and it's already been moved into the garage, you can ask an Audiences Unlimited member where the back of the guaranteed line is. Outside line = standby and guaranteed mixed together. Inside = two lines, one for guaranteed(priority) and one for standby. But the line doesn't tend to get moved inside until 3:30 or so, so you're most likely to just get in the line outside where indicated.

Food is allowed in the studio. There's a bunch more info on food policies in the first post under "Tips for taping day" and "Food and beverage." Cell phone policy is also listed under Miscellany.

The garage is open very early, so you should be able to get in. They sometimes get testy about BBT people showing up before 2pm, but with a standby, you really have to. If you're nice enough and explain that you're standby, they will let you in.

I personally wouldn't risk showing up at 10:30 or 11am with a standby. It's not impossible, but you run a high risk of missing out if a ton of people show up before you and not many standby happen to get in. It varies from week to week. Sometimes people who showed up after noon got in; sometimes people who showed up at 9:30 didn't. Personally, my suggestion would be to take the tour the day before or day after (depending on your arrival and departure times) and just devote Tuesday to the show. You also don't want to feel like you have to rush out of the tour, because it's a lot of money and there's a lot of cool stuff to check out at the end that would be a bummer to miss out on.

I appreciate the tips! The video shows  some people in the line outside and they appear to be sitting. Are they sitting in chairs they brought themselves, or are they sitting on a wall that is there in the parking lot? My wife is 3.5 months pregnant and I want to make the wait as comfortable as I can for her. I guess the MOST comfortable would be dropping me off there while she goes back to relax at the hotel...but where's the fun in that? ;)

I was also successful in getting tickets for the 20th October filming and I am absolutely over the moon about it! :)

I live in England and will be over in the USA next month on holiday in Orlando, Florida but I am a huge TBBT fan and when I found out that they would be filming series 9 whilst we are over that side of the pond I just had to apply and am so thrilled that we are now on the priority list! We will be flying over from Orlando to LA just for the filming which I know is a bit crazy but for me, it is worth it.

I am sorry if this question has been asked a thousand times before but for people who have been to see them filming before/recently - how likely is it that some of the cast will come out afterwards and sing autographs? And which cast members are most likely to come and sign? It is not something I am counting on happening but if it did and I got the chance to meet any of them that would be amazing!

they do come out at the end of the show to take a bow.

i know that some did sign if you got to the railing fast.

i went to the taping on sept. 9 on the au ticket people started to walk

down to the railing, maybe to stop any one from coming down to get

autographs. i had to go so i do not know what had happen.

you will have fun,a lot of us form the forum have gone it is a great time.

Congrats! Guess I'll see you there then!

I got a PM from Kevin C, telling me he got priority tickets himself. So I guess you can count him in too.

I heard that Kunyal is the most likely to sign, but the other actors sign aswell on occassions. We'll try to sit as close to the front as possible (behind the VIP's ofcourse), so we can be at the railing fast when they are done filming. That said...seeing them live and in their element is probably worth a lot more than an autograph. I mostly want one, so that I can (even if it's just for 1-2 seconds) interact on a personal level with one of them. Kaley Cuoco especially.

Yes - congratulations to you too! It's so exciting isn't it?! It really is a dream come true for me :) Hopefully we will see you in the queue on the day!

And I agree, the experience in itself will be special enough on it's own and I am not expecting to get to meet any of them afterwards but if we did it would just make it even more of a special experience. For me I would LOVE to meet Johnny ( I am a BIG Leonard fan!) or Kaley would be amazing too but I haven't heard much about those two signing autographs after so I'm not sure how likely that would be...

Yeah, it's a dream come true for us too. We were in LA last year (we live in the Netherlands), but because they had their contract negotiations they weren't filming when we were there, so when we decided to go back to LA this year we were really hoping to get tickets. Glad we did! We'll probably arrive around 2/3 pm, or something :) Two boys (+-25 age), so you can probably recognize us :p Both wearing glasses. If we don't..have fun :)

When the line is still outside, there are benches for about the first twenty people who arrive - after that, people either stand, sit on the curb, the ground, or chairs they bring. I will warn you, the seats are VERY uncomfortable inside the garage (they're like metal lattice seats), and the benches outside are nothing to write home about either. If you can, I would bring some kind of cushion or pillow for her to sit on.

Congratulations! That's so exciting that you were able to make that work while you're in the States. You'll have a ton of fun!

As others have said, sometimes Kunal and Melissa will hang out at the banister to sign, although I've noticed Audiences Unlimited is a lot more strict about making people exit the stage as soon as the curtain call is over. If you can sit at the end of an aisle and head down right when the curtain call is over, that's your best chance. Your other shot is that you'll be passing their cars on the way out, and sometimes fans have run into the cast in the parking lot as they're exiting. Obviously nothing is promised, and if you do run into them, it's best to ask for a quick autograph or photo and let them get on with their evening, but it does happen.

I will definitely look out for you both! I will be the excited blonde Brit wearing the 'I love Leonard' hoodie! Haha :) If I don't see you tho then I hope you both have an amazing time also!

Thank you so much! I am ridiculously excited and still can't beleive I am going! Feel like the luckiest girl in the world right now as It's always been a dream of mine to go see the show live  but living where I do I didn't think I'd ever be able to make it happen :)

And thank you for the info about meeting the guys after, I guess I will just have to wait and see if we are lucky enough to get to meet any of them!
