Information For Attending A Big Bang Theory Taping

I've booked a holiday to California in the second half of August. I really, really want to catch a BBT taping but will only be in LA on the 23rd. Does anybody know how many tapings they do in August and when the tickets may be available for booking!? Thanks in advance.

When I tried to get tickets for tomorrow's taping I was getting the same error, but when I sent an email to Audiences Unlimited they said my name was on their guaranteed list. Why don't you try sending them an e-mail too?

just e-mail them now will have to wait.

Tickets are posted a month before the taping. Go back to the beginning of the thread to get more details and get a better feel for how it works. If you only get a standby ticket, I wouldn't waste your only day in LA waiting in a standby line. You can book a WB tour and nag the tour guide to let you see the set.

It's a blessing and a curse, honestly. This makes it easier to get tickets, but harder to know when it is that you can do so. They put up at least three different batches of guaranteed tickets for 2/9. One at the normal time, and then two more after 10am and close to eleven.

Standby added for February 9th, the 200th episode taping:

Omg thank you!!! <3

I just booked one! *in total shock rn*

I probably won't go though , cause it is very expensive to fly from my country ( not to mention i might not even get US visa approval), and i don't think it makes sense to fly for a standby ticket, especially for the 200th episode, i'm sure most of the standby ticket holders will be in line since early morning or even the night before wanting to get into the 200th episode taping...

But i am just super happy because i honestly thought it's almost impossible to book ANY ticket, so it just gives me hope!

Standby tickets for 2/9 are still there, hmm so weird. Maybe they give out more tickets than usual?

I hope not. I feel bad for everyone that doesn't get in. There will be extra VIPs for this one, which means even less standby will actually get in.

Hi, you all. I have a question.

I am on the priority list for 1/19 taping.

However, I have a class that day which ends at 3:20. I could get out a little early, but it's better that I don't. So I may arrive at the studio around 4 pm. My question is at what time they begin to give guaranteed seats to standbys? Can I still have my seat if I get there at 4?

Thanks.

I think you'll be ok as long as they don't send an email out announcing a time change. I'm assuming your very familiar with the ebb and flow of LA traffic patterns.

They tend to start letting in standby as soon as the guaranteed line is gone, which is typically around five pm. However, if they get through the line quickly, they could start letting in standby earlier than that. Anyone guaranteed that shows up after that basically gets to jump to the front of the standby line, but it's a variable how many seats will be available at that point. I think 4pm is a relatively safe bet, but obviously nothing is guaranteed.

The tickets for guaranteed/priority say get there 90 minutes early. So if it's still 6:30 showtime, you should be fine.  They can still give your seat to a VIP technically,  but I don't think that's likely for the 1/19 taping.

Hello everyone! So as you can see from my lack of posts, I'm new here! I've been a long time lurker but my frustration has gotten the best of me and I've come seeking some advice. I've read this whole post multiple times (really, I reread it each time I try and get tickets) and I was wondering what black magic you guys are hiding because I've NEVER been able to get tickets, even for standby. I know there are multiple people here who have been successful in the past, so I was just wondering if anyone had any additional tips not already mentioned? My parents in the past year have become HUGE fans and I would love to surprise them with tickets!

It seems that recently they release tickets in batches. So if you can't get one when the tickets first come up (which may be around 9 o'clock), keep refreshing and you may find them up again around 10.

Also sometimes your order is actually successful, but because their website crashes every time, you won't get a confirmation email. That doesn't necessarily mean you didn't get in. You can email them at [email protected] to find out whether your name is on the list.

Hope this helps.

Things have changed a little since I first wrote that first post. It seems that now standby tickets are going up the next day around the same time (8:30, 9am) and they tend to be up for about an hour. Guaranteed are proving to be much more difficult to get, but they sometimes will put up a second (or even third) batch of tickets after 9 or 10 am on ticket release days. If you've got a particular day you want to go to, the best thing to do is just devote the morning to it. You can always ask for/enlist help from other members to try and get tickets. Doing it on your own can be almost impossible, but if you can scrounge up some people to help, the odds that one person will have success are pretty high. Also make sure that, if you do get the page to load and you're filling out the form, you're only putting one ticket at a time. If you try to request two or more tickets on the form, it will not work.
