I understand your concern.  The email should be sufficient.  Print it out and bring it with you.  Safe travels!!!

i guess you're right, i shouldn't overthink, even if there is any mix up in their list (i hope not) i guess e-mail is proof enough, and it's on my side.. Thank you!!!

Hey Guys,

I have found this post extremely helpful so thanks for supplying so much information.

My GF and I are travelling from Australia and have got Standby tickets for the 2nd of February.  I know these questions are hard to answer and vary from week to week but;

Does anyone know roughly how many standby people have gotten in the past few weeks shows?

Will there be anything special about the 2nd of February taping that might mean very few stand by's get in?

I am thinking that unless we are in the first 20 standby's in line we won't bother. Thinking midday would be able to be within the 20. Do people mind if you ask them if they are standby or guaranteed so we can know?

Thanks so much for any replies.

Chris

I keep getting the "Request Timeout" ("This request takes too long to process, it is timed out by the server. If it should not be timed out, please contact administrator of this web site to increase 'Connection Timeout'.") message instead of the usual 'Error' message, does anybody know anything about it, does it mean my request got through? I got the message 3 times and i've emailed 'audiences unlimited', but still if you have any experience with it guys, please share!

PS Ok, so i've submitted my request like 5-7 times (each time getting the 'request timeout' error), if all my requests indeed got through, i hope people at 'Audiences Unlimited' are not mad at people for submitting multiple times lol.. Just praying now they answer my e-mail and say i got the ticket... <3

This happens to me every week (including this week, four weeks). And every week when I email them, they tell me I'm on the list. I'm sure it'll be fine.

yes, they just answered me that i'm on the priority list yayyyyyy <3

i was just nervous cause last week i was getting a different error, so i thought maybe today's error is 'worse' and it means my request is not coming through.. But it turned out all was fine : D

Me too :( I wanted so badly to go to a taping this year, but looks like that won't be happening.  And unless I go to one of the first few next year, I might not get to go then either

Guys, maybe a silly question but can you help me pls?

I keep hearing nobody walks in LA and everybody just drives, but it's just so hard to believe to me, is it true?

It's just that I don't drive, and i heard the bus system is not good in LA, do you know if it's possible to walk from Hollywood blvd to Warner Bros studios? I looked it up on the map and it's about 4 miles, so it'd take me 1 hour walking, but is it that maybe there are only highways there and no routes for pedestrians? or there are , but it's dangerous to walk by yourself in that area in the evening, since tapings finish late?

I will use taxi or uber if it's absolutely necessary, but i'd definitely prefer to walk.

It is true more do people drive in L.A then compared to New York.

People do walk but only if they are going somewhere that is very short distance or if they live nearby to that place or live in downtown L.A. but even then it not as many people as New York but NYC population is double the population of L.A.

In some places you will see more people walking then driving

Well, when I went to a taping last month, I was also on Hollywood Boulevard, and I took a bus (222 if I'm not mistaken) that stops right across the street from where the line is. It was really quick and I didn't have any problems. Maybe you can consider taking it... But keep in mind that it passes only once each hour.

Yeah i don't mind buses, it's just that i've read the are not so many routes in LA, etc!

But I was just now reading about that 222 bus in fact, but the timetables i've found say it's runs only from 6am - 7 pm?

Or is it wrong and it's possible also to come back from the taping using that bus? (i think tapings are usually until about 10pm?)

When I left the taping at 9 PM, I looked on the Transit app and it said there was a bus coming, but I didn't take it because a kind forum member that I met there gave me a ride lol (thanks again, jlove!). So maybe you looked at a weekend timetable? Take a look on the Metro website: https://www.metro.net/riding/maps/200-299/

Just thinking you may want to check out Lyft or Uber as viable alternatives.

thank you guys ! Yeah I figured I'll just take uber on the way back , it's definitely less stressful than to worry if the bus comes or not... I checked über rates and they're actually great!

thank you for help : )

You're welcome! Have fun at the taping!

I stayed at the Tangerine Hotel when I went to the season premier taping and I walked everywhere.  But, I personally wouldn't have walked from where you are staying.  I will say that I felt perfectly safe walking back from the taping after dark.  So, the area around the studio seemed safe to me.
