They are standby and I will be visiting la with my mom before my junior year of college starts as I was just accepted in to UC Davis and this is our celebratory trip. Since we have never been to a taping and our tickets are standby can anyone give us tips or advice. I would appreciate it and thanks in advance. Dannii Posted August 18, 2015 Posted August 18, 2015 Oh thats a relief then.Like I said, I don't believe that actually.The tickets that were generated were part guaranteed (which can't be transferred to anyone else now) and partly standby, all in the process of scoring three guaranteed tickets.You can't have put as many standby onto the site to actually account for all the "lost" tickets now. This is what I believe in.They'll almost always have more standby people than there are seats for. Or if you got guaranteed tickets that you're not going to use (or standby), you can always email AU and tell them so they can release more standbys or whatever they want. Just like with tickets to the symphony, if you have tickets and you're not going to use them, they always prefer if people call and let them know so they can re-sell the seats.I'm sure they know that most people won't bother, but I think that it helps, especially if you know in advance that you're not going to be using them. But like Kazzie says, someone will get that seat, just not anyone that you might be able to give it to. If you have a person in mind to use it, you could always send them to the AU site to sign up for a ticket, if they're still available. Or have them contact AU about that date or whatever. If you have it with you and they take it while the taping is happening do they keep it with your id? I'm just wondering how all this works as I am attending my first taping soon.
