Is Sheldon waiting for L/P to marry before moving forward with Amy?  We prefer that S/A wed before L/P.

If the writers give us a vague answer, it's going to be to a question like that.

That being said, I would absolutely love to see S/A get married before L/P...it wouldn't surprise me at all if they left the L/P wedding for late Season 10. Hopefully S/A get married some time before then (provided they get married at all).

I do wonder if tptb are saving the actual Lenny wedding for a special episode, maybe 200 in February or the series final

I would think 200 would be more likely than the series finale. IMO viewership won't last that long for that. A Shamy wedding series finale would make more sense. Shamy fans would would be willing to wait that long. Lenny fans wouldn't.

Why do we have to wait 10 years to see a men, that everybody knows can fly, fly? I don't want none of the couples get merried on the series finale...we all know (hope) they are end game, so I hope they'll be settled before the finale....by the way, that reminds me another question: the smallville reference was also a meta-message to the fans to get ready for the surprising final scenes of the episode?

The Mushroom Log, back in the season six discussion thread, I predicted that Lenny would get married in the 200th episode, based on the timing on the 100th, and their progress in season six.   While it was  quite unexpected, to me, the way their progress came to an almost complete stop in season eight, I still think they will still get married in the 200th.  The OOC kiss by Leonard seems to be the bullshit way the writers are using to push it to the 200th.

It's been awhile since I've commented on here - I've been lurking pretty frequently but had trouble logging in for a bit so it's good to be back! Up until the season finale, the question I thought would be most likely to be asked was about the I love you scene during The Prom Equivalency, since I thought that would be the biggest moment in the season aside from Mrs. Wolowitz dying. Then the finale came. I think asking about whether there were any arguments over how the season should end and how the writers came to that last scene sounds like a great question for Comic-Con, since asking 'Can you hurry up and get Shamy engaged and into the sack so they can have some beautiful Shamy babies?' probably won't get a major response from the writers.

I'm not going and never been but I am certainly curious to hear any new tid bits that might come out.

1. What was the idea behind Leonard making this confession two years after the fact?

2. What was the inspiration behind Emily and the graveyard in particular and her character in general. Is this based on some experience from someone in the writing room?

We have seen with many other shows that the producers/writers know they are going to annoy their fan base and don't care if the fan base is upset.   I would ask them "Why do writers make decisions to frustrate and annoy fans?   It seems counter-intuitive and a good way to kill a popular show.  Isn't it better to have a show end on a good note instead of a sour one with fans?  Doesn't it ultimately hurt syndication down the road when it is well known that it is going to end poorly so people won't waste their time?"   Case in point, I was planning to start watching HIMYM until I read about the ending, even though I had not watched the show previously.   I felt it was ending the last season and I would wait and watch it all at once.   But once the ending was published and I knew it was a bad ending, I didn't waste time watching any of it.   Why watch something just to be annoyed, ticked off and frustrated with it when it ends?
