Right on.  These are the same guys that can't figure out how to loosen a lug nut off a flat tire without burning the entire vehicle up.    These are the same guys that can't figure out how to put a piece of IKEA furniture together using written instructions.

To be fair, they tried several ways before they used the thermite.

I did think this episode had funny moments.  I enjoyed it.  Sorry to be off topic a wee bit but I have a question, and I'm hoping someone can help me on this.  I used to see taping reports throughout the season, however, in this season I have not seen any.  I so see the taping schedule, but not any actual taping reports.  Am I just missing them, or are they not being posted in the forum anymore? thanks :)

Taping reports still appear in the season 9 discussion thread.   Due to some circumstances, the staff has decided, while we will allow those who attend to post a report,  a separate taping report thread, managed by the staff, is not something we want to do, at this time.

Currently, the quickest way to find the taping reports is to compare taping dates, using the Broadcast and Taping Thread, with the date on the first post of each page of the discussion thread.    This allows you to zero in on the date after the taping, then scroll through each page to find the report.

I enjoyed the Heliuum plot tonight. It was like old times, and the preposterousness just made it funnier. I thought the writers missed one trick, in that Kripke didn't take the opportunity to remind Shelson of his previous encounter with Kripke's helium. Loved the black-market helium dealer.

I thought the other strand was funny benough in itself, but I didn't really enjoy it because it was so OOC. The gang seemed to have suddenly regressed. Penny was leading them in their silliness, but Penny is firstly the most emotionally mature character, and secondly the one who had the chance to get all that adolescent behaviour out of her system when she was actually an adolescent. And since they all have lives of their own, I just don't buy their fascination with Amy's "dating" (do grown-ups in California really use that expression?). 30-something professional woman spends an evening with a (presumably) similar man - really!
