During the Season Two Comic Con press conference they announced that BBT was renewed for a 3rd and 4th Season. I sincerely hope it goes on for many more Seasons, hopefully 8-9-10. God willing. carl1970 Posted March 21, 2010 Posted March 21, 2010 With the ratings where they are (16 million last aired new episode in the U.S.) I wouldn't be suprised if they pick them up for at least a 5th season this summer. Season 1 averaged 5 to 7 million per episode. Season 2 averaged 7 to 9 million per episode. Season 3 started at 10 million but has risen to 16 million per episode. People might keep going on about 30 Rock and The Office but the truth is The Big Bang Theory is way ahead of them in the 18-49 demographic AND overall viewers.
