Looks like it's going to be a fun episode.  Sheldon looking for a distraction while Amy is out of town?    What happened to the days when he enjoyed entertaining himself?   I like this happy social entertainment craving Sheldon so much better.

Leonard's double dutch jump roping felt so ridiculously out of place.  I know they were going for a laugh, but they should've stuck with something more towards Leonard's character.  Him double dutch jump roping sounded glaring in the TR.  It translated terribly on screen.

On the bright side, this episode did bring back memories of my favorite episode of the series (the one where Leonard's mother debuts).

Agree 100% That scene felt really awkward.

I should be happy with the Lenny in this episode, but overall it wasn't my favourite.

I thought the Sheldon/Amy interactions were adorable, the looks and smiles...

I like Raj and Sheldon together, I like that Leonard seen the shrink, at the end Sheldon misses Amy,Howard/Bernadette miss Stuart, and Penny misses her old life?? not sure I got that right but will rewatch.

Also kind of creepy Stuart watching H/B sleep but over all a good show!

Personally I would've loved to have seen Johnny's reaction at the table readings.  (And for some reason Leonard is double dutching with a group of girls he somehow found at a house)

I thought it was an average episode, I found I really didn't laugh that much.  The Howard, Bernadette and Stuart part just came out creepy with the tag scene.  Sheldon wasn't funny to me at all tonight, Amy was funnier than him, it was almost like he was her straight man.  Leonard and Penny were okay until Penny was on the couch complaining about Leonard, the honeymoon phase of their marriage sure ended quickly for her to talk like that.  The jumping rope scene was awkward to me, it made Leonard look like a child.

Its was an OK episode, was kinda dry. Seemed like all the funny bits were used as sneek peeks, I laughed at those days ago. I did however notice Sheldon talks about children a lot more since the end of season 8. The idea of martian babies excited him, in this episode he talked about if they have any, I think there was one more mention as well. I mean compared to the test tube baby he wanted before.

In many ways Leonard is still a child at least emotionally because he never was allowed to have a normal childhood because of his mother not allowed to have birthday parties like other kids I think that was the point of the jump rope scene

Your probably right, it just didn't seem to come off right to me.

I loved Sheldon's "come on daddy needs a suitable planet he can rule with an iron fist"

His aspiring future tyrant dialogue never gets old for me.

The wardrobe change when S/R entered the apartment to talk to Leonard confused me.  It was to signal it was the next day (a day different then the asteroid discovery), but did S/R spend all weekend at the telescope and they bring a change of clothes.  Were Raj's clothes changed as well.............. this distracted from the dialogue

-I think she was complaining more about the role that she has fallen into, more than Leonard himself.

-The part about that scene that bothered me is that it insinuated that Leonard found a group of teenage girls he didn't know at a house and just decided to jump rope with them.  I can't think of a way that that scene doesn't come off as creepy when you stop and think about it.

Yeah when I think of it that way, creepy does come to mind.

Good episode. I can see why now some are bothered by the LP plot. It did not give you warm fuzzies at all lol. Partic leaving Penny when she said "I guess I just miss my life when it was more simple". I think Penny was referencing not regret at marrying Leonard. But the role she has fallen to and how complicated her life has become. Hence the refernces to becoming Leonard's mother. She was the hot girl next door, who was an actress. So you can understand why she misses her life when she was wearing tank tops, working at the Cheese Cake Factory e.t.c. I liked the line from The Thearpist (Jane was awesome bta). That "Why would you do that? Why would you make your husband pretend to be a patient, in order to get a sale? Leonard had a life where is formulative years were dominated by his mother. Don't you think he married you as a way of perpetuating?". Bang on. Then "Why did you marry Leonard?". Penny's respose "The tank tops were a selling point" LOL. While this ain't a warm way to send the audience off. I think this is a neccessary insight. It's healthy. A person like Penny, and a person like Leonard defies socieites conventiions and rules. But they have so much differences. And i also think Penny need to be told she takes Leonard for granted. Penny even said she was glad she did this, as it helped. Loved the referencing of Sheldon "I wasen't sure if he was real" lol. That she lives with a manchild. I think some need to see it from Penny's persepective. She married the love of her life. But she also became something she never wanted to be. It's a role she prob never prepared for when she moved to 4B. So not great from a shippers point of view. But a neccessary episode IMO.

As for the rest of the episode. I really enjoyed the Howardette plot. Loved the camera angles out at their garrage. I laughed out loud so much when Stuart creeped them out, at Hmmm I haven't seen this room when your awake LOL. And them missing him. Then Stuart returning was kinda creepy but he is creepy, and was funny. I thought the Leonard dancing at the end, was kinda lame. I get that he prob still a child in so many ways, he never had a childhood that he wanted. But I just think the execution was off. Enjoyed Sheldon and Raj plot. Overall not the best episode, but for me the Lenny plot stole the episode. Neccessary development. And when Penny walked in 4A. And it was just the guys, reminded me of the old days :D. I like Amy and Bernadette. But I don't know they felt surplus to requirements.

What I thought was strange was that Sheldon's jacket was folded over his messenger bag.    It just looked unSheldon-like to me.  Maybe he has done it before, and I just missed it.
