Perhaps she forgot to mention he was drunk, drugged, wearing noise canceling headset or in a loop trying to figure out the matrix trilogy (substitute some other mind bending nonsense).

It´s a possibility. But we know from Sheldon´s earlier experiences with Lenny, that this headset doesn´t work very much. The only drug I can imagine he would take is coffee, but why would he drink it if he knew that it would keep him from sleeping? But I can totally see him sitting on his spot, drunk, sleeping, while Howardette have fun in his sanctuary.

It is only good as a one line joke that one moves on from quickly. Talking about it won't help.

You are right, it doesn´t help. I was just trying to understand why Sheldon would overhear something that happens in his bedroom, while he is near.

I should better get it out of my head and accept it as a one line joke. :icon_wink:

In all fairness Sheldon would have completely focused on listening to the most fascinating person speak, himself.

Not always, if there were strange noises he would check out the source  of it, especially if they were coming from his bedroom.

Loved the episode, was one of the funniest in a while for me...

So many great momens, but Raj's line about tropical drinks and Sex & The City was a highlight for me haha (except for Shamy moments ; ))

LOL I wonder when he starts to compare the boys with the characters of Sex And The City. I guess then he would consider himself as Charlotte, Leonard would be Carrie, Sheldon would be Miranda and Howard would be Samantha. :icon_biggrin:

Thanks for ruining my mental image of Miranda. :(

I´m sorry Stephen, but I wasn´t sure which of the characters would fit better to Sheldon. But I chose Miranda, because she is the one who is seeing things in a more reasonable way than the other girls. She is cynical, like Sheldon when he gets angry. And her opinion regarding relationships softened as soon as she met Steve, as well as Sheldon´s did when he met Amy. And that´s why I chose Miranda.

I agree on Sheldon being Miranda, but I would maybe switch to Raj identifying with Carrie, and Leonard with Charlotte!
And ugh I'm so conflicted on Samantha/Howard, I ADORE Samantha and not so much Howard hahaha... Although I do admit Howard can only be associated with Samantha of the 4 of them = ) But I don't want him to be lol.

I considered Leonard as Carrie, because he had an up and down relationship with Penny over years which turned into a happy ending like Carrie had with Mr. Big. And Raj is the Charlotte type, because they´ve always been waiting for their prince who comes on his white horse to take them with him. And Charlotte is as naive and dreamy as Raj. A woman like Charlotte would be perfect for Raj. And if Howard hadn´t met Bernadette and would have met Samantha instead, boy that would have been an encounter! Poor Howard would have ended like Barney, when he tried to get Marshall´s profesor from the university into his bed. Beware of pumas! 46.gif

I dunno, to me Leonard is more Charlotte, cause I think they're both shy & conservative! And Raj is more Carrie, cause they're both cool... Ok you know what I am writing this and realizing your logic actually makes more sense, it's just that Carrie & Raj are my favs, and Leonard & Charlotte are not, so that's why i'm pairing those together!

If Howard met Samantha, I think he'd be as happy as that dude named Sam Samantha met in like S3! haha. I think he was a lot like early Howard : )

Everyone has own opinion and this is good because it keeps a discussion vivid.

Hahaha Sam was funny indeed. And sweet. But you can´t keep Samantha forever, she loves her freedom! She is like a bee who has to fly from one flower to another. :icon_wink:

Today, The Washington Post covered Former Federal Reserve Chairman Ben Bernanke's appearance on TBBT...some behind the scenes stuff...

Bernanke was a latecomer to the series, first watching it on an airplane before binging on the initial seasons until he and his wife, Anna, were caught up.

Bernanke and his wife did get a dressing room, however, and were able to watch the taping of the entire episode. He chatted with  the show’s co-creator Chuck Lorre and ate pizza with the cast after the filming was over.

Actor Jim Parsons, who plays Sheldon, was the most familiar with Bernanke’s oeuvre.   “I’m a big news junkie. I’ve probably seen you more than you’ve seen me,” Bernanke recalled Parsons telling him. “ I said, ‘I’m not so sure about that.’”

Bernanke was required to join the Screen Actors Guild for his brief appearance on the show. For their labors, he and his wife each received a check of $69. But Bernanke said he hasn’t cashed it yet. The check has “The Big Bang Theory” written on it, and to him, that makes it worth far more than the face value.

Looks like I am in the minority on this, but I found this episode to be tepid. I hope this episode was just the by product of tptb changing their minds about a baby at the last second of writing this seasons valentines episode. Because for me this episode is the worst episode of the season, and might be a contender for the worst episode of the series. WAY TOO saccharine after a certain point (which was REALLY felt with how long karaoke went on). It would’ve probably been fine if it were just one of two (or three) plots, but the plot built around the news of Howardette's (& the groups) reactions was paper thin.

Honestly I'm not against this show having a baby introduced (and having the relationship that is third in the pecking order, doing this is a relatively safe risk), many sitcoms have survived (and even thrived) in doing so, but this episode felt phoned in.

I enjoyed the episode, only thing I would knock is the corny baby related song karaoke but I understood why they did that.

The writing for Howard's character has really stepped up its game in recent weeks, Simon has had some great lines and the acting has been really good.

They did it because they were, to quote Amy, "so wasted".

ETA: What was it, that Sheldon's new travel cup only lets out three at a time?

Liked this episode, but let's get some conflict back soon. I thought Sheldon's singing of My Country Tis of Thee was right off, whereas in 806 he sang Dark as a Dungeon very nicely.

Why on earth shouldn't Penny refer to 4A as "Our place"? It is her and Leonard's and Sheldon's place and nobody else's. Penny is the "lady of the house" at 4A.  Who are these posters who resent that?
