Raj did come off like a jerk but if Emily and Claire know about each other, he's not technically doing anything wrong.  I think we know that Claire knows about Emily, but who knows if Emily knows about Claire.  What either of these women want to do with the Raj we saw in this episode is the biggest mystery.

What I have seen looks like a scenario for heartache and loss. Bragging is a very bad sign of careless disregard for the heart and soul of others.

There are many differing opinions on what is wrong.

It's surely going to bite him on the ass at some point. Right?

Some women are attracted to "bad boys".

An exchange between Wil Wheaton and Stuart Bloom, about Sheldon, could equally apply to Raj:-

Wil Wheaton: What's wrong with him?
Stuart: Everybody has a different theory.

Finally got a chance to watch the much discussed episode.  In a word....meh.  Not good, not bad, just kind of brought up a lot of issues and didn't really resolve anything.  I guess I'll "hope" that this is a setup for future developments.

I don't think this episode made anyone look too good.

Raj/Howie:  God Raj....Well I'm just hoping his ego is in for a big big hit.  He's been acting like a tool, and Howard (lightly) called him out on it.  I don't think he came upon any real realizations.  I'm hoping that will come up in the future.  I hope he gets dumped by both in a magnificent way.

Leonard/Penny/Sheldon/Amy:   Sheldon is acting how he always does (self centered), I'm unsure why Leonard suddenly decided to get into a snit about it.  I think that was Penny's first point in her argument with Leonard.  Like, why do you suddenly care?  Sheldon is acting no differently than he usually does.  I wondered that myself.  I wrote this when the TR came out, but it would have made more sense if they had written this reversed.  I.e. Penny doesn't want to go the RA, and Leonard is used to it.  The Sheldon sides with Penny and cancels the meeting which would upset Leonard, and in the end get the same result.  This way made no sense...but anyhoo...  But Leonard pouting and being a suck was not appealing.

Amy comes along and was being passive aggressive.  Instead of head on saying what was bothering her (cough cough...communication issues...), she sides with Leonard just cause she's annoyed with Penny.  Here's what I found interesting about what she said.  "She get's Sheldon to change things in the RA because she doesn't want to fight with you about it"  Now that gets me thinking....what does she get changed that would upset Leonard?  Or that she doesn't want to discuss with Leonard?  Maybe it's something as simple as longer bathroom time allowance, but she drives him to the train store once a week.  Who knows.  I honestly think it's nothing too evil, that she gotten for herself.  So Penny was selfish, I will agree to that.  I don't think she deserved the complete crucifixion  she got on here.

I would have thought after all these years, that Leonard would have been the best at gaming Sheldon.  Penny got him pretty figured out in just a few months of living with him.  Priya also had Sheldon figured out pretty quickly.  Penny went with the honey route (get's more results) than Priya's more abrasive approach.

At the end of the episode, they all seemed to be getting along.  Nothing like a nut allergy to bring people together.

When I sit back at it, I kind of think the writers just wanted to write an episode where everyone is in a fight with everyone..hilarity will ensue.  Hmmm...maybe not hilarity.  Not the funniest episode by any means.  I stick my initial assessment of meh.  And there wasn't huge deep meanings to any of it.  If I take anything away, it would be that Leonard is ready to move out.  We'll see if they go there.

This show has been very disappointing this season since the cast got their big fat raises. It seems to have jumped the shark. Maybe the writers should have got raises too.

Excuse me , but what are you talking about> The actors got huge raises, but what's happening is not their fault. Their acting is just fine. What sucks is their writing.

and the writing on this episode was plain awful, in fact series nine hasn't improved much over series eight either. Chuck Lorre and steve Molaro need to make their mind up whether they making a soap or a comedy as with all the angst it's getting to be hard to tell. but this episode totally not funny.

IMO the S9 season's writing sucked big time and the characters have been written very poorly and a lot of the things they've done during this season have been OOC. The character written more IC is perhaps Howard, even if he isn't, IMO, as funny as he once was. The current situation with the living arrangements adds to the "suckitude" of the quality of the writing of this season for a lot of people such as the previous and myself, amongst others,

Raj is SUPPOSED to be annoying in these scenes.  That's the point.

While that might be the point, and we know, we get it, Raj has always been a douche, the way he's acting right know takes the douchery to whole other level, not to mention that it seems completely OOC. Not that he would act like that now that he's dating 2 girls , but that he was actually able to get 2 girls to go for him. Emily's characterization is also completely OOC. The character used to have a spine and was portrayed as a strong woman with a creepy side. Now she's just a puppet that will whatever the f Raj decides to give her. TBH I don't even know how the writing can be THIS bad.

Maybe we got lucky that Raj couldn't speak to women for all those years if deep down he's always been like this.

What I find the most frustrating is that for years he has moaned and been upset at being alone, he finally gets a girl but isn't satisfied with just that so he takes an opportunity to hook up with another girl, he's moaning that it's hard work satisfying two women and you just know he's going to cry and moan when it blows up in his face and he ends up alone.

When it blows up in his face (and it will because I can't believe the writers can justify a happy ending from this particular storyline) it's going to take quite a bit of work to get people back onside with his character again IMO. He's really going to have to show some humility.

I think that was one of the traits in Raj from the beginning, it was just his selective mutism that hid it.  He has never handled women well, even Lucy, part of the main reason she went away was his pushing her to do things to fast because he wanted her to change quickly.  But now that Penny has got him to talk, she has just opened Pandora's box and what we see is that douche coming out and over time getting stronger.  Remember this is his second time having to deal with two girls and this second time he is managing it better, when it comes to his needs.  I think he is very IC, viewers may not like it, but he has been like this the whole show and now that he is gaining confidence and experience, he is getting worse.

In the latest episode Big Bang Theory " the viewing party" . There is a Justice league poster between raj&sheldon in the opening. Anyone know about this one?  It's kinda retro looking. Looks sweet!

I watched this episode again the other night with my sister and I didn't see any real bullying of Stuart at the end.  He was answering back to them, teasing Raj about his face, telling them they lost BR privileges at the store, etc.

The guys were not shown laughing at Stuart when he wrecked his bike, but it was a call back to his previous statement about his cape getting caught in his bike gear.  I don't think the point of the scene was to show Stuart breaking his jaw or anything.  I've fallen off my bike several times.  Not a face-plant, but I've fallen.  It's not a death-sentence.

And again, is anyone surprised that Raj is trying to "humble-brag" about his dating two women?  If Leonard or Howard were not married, were not together with someone, wouldn't they have been bragging about their sex lives, with however many women they could get?

I think that they are indeed setting up some kind of come-uppance for Raj, but the set-up has to come first.  And I think it was a good way to show Howard getting fed up with him--which, of course, set up their part of the party feud.

I think most people thought the whole scene was unnecessary to begin with.

I agree about the male bantering with Stuart. It sounded normal to me, not bullying.

Raj, so far as we've seen, is the only other one of the four 'guys' who knows Howard's father was a two-timer. He was there when the half-brother turned up. Everybody knows how touchy Howard is about being fatherless for so many years. What with Howard's now two-way fatherhood issues and concerns about having a daughter, it's insensitive about Raj to carry on as if nothing had changed since eight or nine years ago when the guys boasted to one another about getting laid. I'm not surprised Howard got fed up.

I'm not surprised Howard got fed up.

I don't think that was the point of the scenes between Raj and Howard and I think that if they were trying to imply that Raj's bragging bothered Howard because of issues with his father, they would have made that very obvious.  When they want to make a point like that on TBBT, they make it plain.

I think that in reality, they're just playing on Raj's desire to be a playboy--back when he had his "fling" with Penny, he wanted to tell the others that their "romance" didn't go beyond the one night because "you wanted to have my babies and I said, 'I'm too rock-and-roll for that'"--he has ALWAYS wanted to be seen that way--too cool to be "sweet", all over-the-top with flattery about opalescent eyes, and all that nonsense.

HE HAS NO CLUE about how to act with women or how to think about his relationships with women.  He was willing to marry a lesbian just so he wouldn't come home to an empty home.  He was willing to buy all kinds of things to keep his deaf girlfriend happy.

It's only recently that he had to deal with having a relationship with Emily, and he still couldn't quite be real.  But Emily and Claire have apparently allowed him to go forward with dating them both.  That he's bragging about it is just him trying to make the other guys think he's cooler than them or whatever.

I think the writing has made it plain that his behavior is annoying and that he thinks he's being cool.

Whether it happens by the end of this season or sometime next, I'm sure it's gonna hit the fan in some way and he will either end up with neither girl, or he'll have to finally be honest with someone, especially himself.

But it's a COMEDY, so I don't think it's going to be all that serious in the eventual outcome.

Penny supports RA now. Wow

is Penny married to Sheldon or Leonard??

She gets pissed at Leonard pretty easily these days.

I don't even remember the last time her showing any kind of warmth towards Leonard.  Horrible marriage.

When was the last time Penny supported Leonard when it was Sheldon vs Leonard??

Ifs funny at how we see how much effort Penny puts in making Sheldon happy, but when it comes to Leonard she does not even care to remember his birthday. I guess priorities .

And what about the actors??? earlier they always used to touch and cuddle each other. Now recently all their "bed scenes" have them sleep separately and away.

And the episode just ended abruptly. No resolution at all. What a waste.

However if this were a situation where Penny gets to know something about Leonard , surely we would have a scene where Leonard bends over backwards to appease Penny and apologize multiple times , but now nothing.

Anyway  I wish Leonard and Penny would just break up. One of the worst pairing I have ever seen.

While I largely agree with you about the marriage. I think 'horrible marriage''worst pairing' is a little bit 'over the top'. I hate how the pair have gone from being so sweet and loving, and pivotal, to being a sideshow.

1) He wasn't just answering back, he was defending himself.

2) Only a death sentence is a death sentence. That's not the point.

3) Nobody's surprised at Raj bragging. What is tough to swallow is how much of a douchebag he's being to both girls. Let me mention that Emily had been his girlfriend. Besides a personal dislike for Raj or not, the whole 2 women for Raj thing feels completely and totally OOC. Raj, while being Emily's boyfriend was the submissive one, was he not? Are we supposed to believe that now he's such a player when not so long ago both him and Stuart were making online dating profiles?

I said that because I think their marriage is horrible. Penny has gone from a sweet fun loving girl to this sarcastic , sad women who is never happy.  Leonard was never good to being with. See in this episode itself he was intrigued that Raj was dating two girls at one time. I guess cheaters like cheaters.

The pair never had much chemistry to being with , but now with all the changes Penny has gone through their relationship has become toxic. Even their physical chemistry is completely lacking. (back in earlier seasons atleast physical chemistry was ok)

Yeah, quite a turn from a man who considered being deceitful to a stranger for meeting another, to a guy who happily jumps into the bed with two - while one of them is his partner of TWO YEARS. And why these women would even be pining over him, I guess that's another of BBT's mysteries...

Raj was always a horrible person, he just couldn't speak to women for 6 seasons, so you never knew. LOL. I couldn't stand him in the earlier seasons either and was baffled why people loved him. Whenever he did speak, I always got a jerk vibe from him.

Remember the valentines day episode, when he meets Lucy and calls every person who is single a 'loser' ? So when Lucy dumped him, as hard as the writers tried to make me feel sorry for him,  I couldn't feel bad for him.

So Amy is now passive aggressive, needy, clingy, horny and on top of that tries to insert problems into her own friends relationship so that she could be more happy.
