No we can't send Sheldon to India lol

Raj is my least favorite character but that not why I say send him home he is not important to the show anymore he isn't very well liked by most fans he makes very little impact on the story in general or to any couple including Howerdette in this hypothetical cost cutting move he save the most money while causing the least impact by leaving

In fact it gives more screentime to devote to finishing the actual stories. Send him home to an arranged marriage and drop a line every once in awhile about how he is doing, he gets a "happy ending" with minimal fuss

Bullshit.

It is most likely BS. But hypothetically could BBT do the show without Johnny and KAley? Short Answer hell no. SAy what you want about other characters. But Leonard and Penny are the entire premise. And unless Both Johnny and Kaley are suddenly sick of the show. Based on what they have said, I doubt it. So yeah bullshit, I Would be shocked. I mean if Leonard and Penny do leave in S10. I could see it like That 70's show, where they try to do the show without two of their main characters Eric and Kelso. OF course Sheldon woulden't be funny at all without LEnny. It would be like Two and a half men without Charlie Sheen.

Personally, I have started to feel a bit bored with TBBT as a format so I need a cast change at least. For me, Raj should go.Kunal is a fine actor and he could try lots of new things, even some serious roles but Raj is over.My ideal senario is that Raj leaves, Lenny moves out and Sheldon gets a new young fresh face as a flatmate. He could be a foreigner aswell and we could maybe see cultural differences...

This makes absolutely no sense to me. TBBT is not Grey's Anatomy which improves with cast turnover. I think it would ruin TBBT. That being said , I don't think TBBT is as good as it used to since halfway S7.IMO, bad writing. Cast turnover isn't an issue, at least for me.

??

I think it would have something to do with being long running.

I think the rumors are bullshit as well. Though I would say I think Johnny is more likely to go than Kaley, but that is maybe because there is barely anything in the media about his thoughts of the show and its future. I believe Kaley when she says she will be there until the end.

IF there is any truth whatsoever that one or both want out then season 10 will be the last imo.

Oh if either Kaley or Johnny leave in S10. Or say things change, they want to leave. I am sure TPTB well change their plans to accomodate J and K. And s10 well be the last. I agree Johnny is more likely, just because he has not publically said anything about the shows future. But i expect both to stay till the end, who knows S10 may end up being last anyway. I Think the format over the years has grown stale. And the premise intial anyway needs shifting. It is more a show about young student professionals these days anyway. And I Think if they shift the premise, theirs a few more years out of the show imo. I just think since s7 repeated cannon. Stupid dream sequences, running out of ideas e.t.c. Not writing in Cannon. Dragging out storylines with Lenny getting married, Shamy doing it. Then not doing it :cheese:. I think they just tuned out a certain subset of the audience. I think most people keep watching for A: Where the characters gonna end up B: That hope for that one Gem of an episode, which is far in between.

I don't think the format has gone stale if it has it's not by much.

We had the Shamy breakup and the fall out from it, Howardette are going to have a baby which could introduce big changes next season, Raj has his harem which as much as I find it distasteful is different. I would agree that the Lenny storyline has gone a bit stale but there is some potential there for new ideas with Penny's career and perhaps if the writers are feeling bold enough moving them across the hall. We also have the silly guidance system plot that I assume will provide more storylines and perhaps generate some money for the guys as well.

There is a shit ton of material and storylines to be had still and plenty of life left in the show which is why if they do end it at Season 10 it will be extremely disappointing. You see shows sometimes which are in effect dead as the plotlines are pretty much tied up and there is a lack off creativity and they still go on for some time yet. I don't think you can say this about this show, not yet anyway.

Umm yeah sorry strongley disagree. The format has been stale as hell for a couple of years now. Like I said shift the premise. Then you can get alot more stories. Lenny and Sheldon just does not work anymore, nor is it inducive to story and character progression.

This is jmo i can understand if johnny wanted to leave after season10 in the last 2 seasons the writers have basically made leonard a background character with little dialog and changed his character alot from seasons 6 and 7 if he thinks he has enough money i could see him leaving

This is an interview about johnny talking about beyond S10 from March last year.

link removed due to copy right considerations.  Link must go to the original source. In this case it would either be Hulu or Larry's You Tube channel.

Yeah a year ago. All depends on contracts. Good thing with this show is despite quality declining. Is the cast are all on great terms, and with their writers. Unlike Two and a half men lol. So that is a big positive. Two and a half men fans which include me, never got a desirable ending. Because killing off the main character screwed that up. Obviousley in this case. If J and K stay on they prob well. Lenny well get a desirable ending. Which is prob Penny giving birth to the Smart and Beautiful Babies :p

At the beginning of the interview it sounds like the actual Larry King interview was closer to three years ago.

Recruiting Judd Hirsch comes across to me as an act of someone who is still interested in TBBT.

For me, the cast member who would (or may) be looking to leave sooner than later would be Jim Parsons.  He more than anyone else has been identified by his role on TBBT.  I get the feeling that he would rather spend more time doing theater.  Again, that is only my opinion and l have heard or seen nothing that would give credence to this opinion.

Larry king did state that tbbt was in its 8th season in the beginning of the interview so that would make it last year.

I don't watch that show you mentioned but it does make sense if you think that once an unpopular (for me in this case,I did mention that) character leaves, all the time and writing spent on him could go somewhere else, such as a new exciting character.

I presume you don't understand my comment about Grey's Anatomy. It is in its 12th season, and it has pretty heavy cast turnover which helps it a lot because new stories are created while some old ones are disposed of.

In my opinion you cannot have cast turnover in TBBT because it would destroy it.

That being said I think TBBT has seen better days.

Honestly speaking for the last few seasons Raj hasent really been an important part of the show his plots including Emily have been low key and often felt tacked on just to give him screentime the show could carry-on as is if he went back to India the same can't be said for the other 6 and that would save a million of production costs if that's what TPTB wanted to do.

Nothing against kunal but Raj has really just become superfluous

I agree. Kunal hasn't really been important since the end of S6. When he was able to conquer his selective mutism that was it. Perhaps if they'd done something different with his ability to talk to women... Btw, I cannot believe what they did to his and Emily's story.
