[Spoilers] Season 9-10 Hiatus Thread

I really enjoyed the newfound dynamic between Bev and Penny I have to say.  9x23 was the first time you saw some real human emotives from Bev. I mean she was always againgst Lenny as a rule lol. But would of appreciated the invitation. Then changed her mind, because she has never seen Leonard so happy. Re Gender Segregation I would like it to be broken down with the guys to.  Anyway we saw the breakdown of gender segregation in Bakersfield, when the girls read comic books. What an episode. I would like the guys to get involved with the girls stuff more to. The girls get more involvd with the guys stuff, then the guys do with the girls. An example like Penny going to see Leonard at his work, like to see again. I mean when has LEoanrd ever visited Penny in her work?

Well, since Penny is currently working as a sales rep touring various doctors it's not like she has a fixed workplace where Leonard can pop in and get involved in that part. I mean, she probably has an office at the company but still I'd imagine most of her work taking place out of house. Anyway, you could argue that Leonard did get involved by helping her in Sales Call and back when she was filming her movie with Wil Wheaton he was visiting the set.

I would like to see what Bernie does in her free time as well. I loved her little anecdotes about the incidents she and her colleagues had in the lab, they always made me laugh so much.

It would be great, to see an episode where the girls are having a girls day, doing things that not all them like, but what they do for the other.

They could visit a medieval poetry festival, listening to poems, while Amy and Bernie take turns elbowing Penny on the arm, because she is snoring loudly.

After that they could visit the Science fair, because as far as I remember Bernie was quite interested in Leonard´s work, when she and Howard were dating currently. Or they spy on someone, because as we know Bernie has a complete spy equipment. LOL

And at the end of the day, they could spent the evening at 4b, drinking beer (after Bernie gave birth and after she stopped breast-feeding), painting their nails, while they watch a football game and discuss, which of the players would be a perfect candidate for reproduction in their eyes.

And when their guys arrive at home, they would find the girls laying on the floor drunk and giggling. Leonard would give them one of his priceless "WTF?!" looks, while Sheldon would just shook his head in disbelief, lamenting the descend of his girlfriend into a crazy woman.

I was wondering does anyone think the theme is now to harsh for the shows current theme? The theme is upbeat and fun. But BBT has moved past a certain point where the characters are into adulthood now. SO I don't know the transition into the Barenaked Ladies theme, just feels a bit off to me. But maybe that is just me.

OH yeah I love it too don't get me wrong. But I was watching Lenny have a adult conversation then bang into the theme. I don't know crash bang fireworks haha. Just felt a bit off for me. But just my opinion really.

I always wanted a group story at the university, the one that always comes to mind is Amy working on a Saturday morning and one of her monkeys escapes.  Since she will get in trouble if it isn't found by Monday morning, the gang helps and all of them search the university on Saturday and Sunday to help their friend.  So they are there all weekend and during their searching, each couple sneaks off and does the deed.  The tag scene could be Siebert or Gablehauser coming in Monday morning to find their desk covered in banana peels.

I don't think the the theme song will change. It is part of the brand.

That would be hilarious!

I can see Siebert entering his office and finds the monkey sitting on his chair at his desk.

Siebert calls the campus security to get the monkey, but as they approach, it shows its teeth, so they walk slowly backwards.

The scene ends with Siebert running out of the office, followed by the campus security, everyone covered with the monkey´s excrements, which it threw at them.

The monkey could have a birthmark, which looks like an Indian goddess, so Raj thinks that it must be a sacred animal and wants to save it therefore, to clean his karma because he´s eaten too much beef burgers and feels guilty for it.

I don't think Amy's hot either, but I think Mayim is. And as you state, in regards to beauty it is not a given it is perception through the filter of our biases, tastes, predilections.

They dress down Amy, and sexualize Kaley. Because well that is the role they play in the show. Some say they dress down Mel to make Kaley look hottre hahah, but I don't think that is true. She already is hotter so that is a mute point. But its true its all perception.

They really changed Penny's look with season 7, she still dresses up for work or going out, but now when she is just around Leonard, she just dresses like one of the guys.  I wonder if it is to intentionally show that Penny is off the market and since she knows Leonard likes her just the way she is, she is just dressing comfortable now.

I think she is being dressed and characterized as what she is.  A 30 year old woman who is working as a professional and is married.  It would look a little ridiculous to have her dress they way she did in Seasons 1, 2 and 3.  I think the way she dresses is extremely appropriate and does not at all detract from her attractiveness.  Thirty-year-old women do not dress in short-shorts and spaghetti strapped blouses.  They do not wear short, tight dresses or otherwise scanty outfits that are more apt to be seen on much, much younger people.

Well you're right most of them don't but some do, even 40 year old women.  I keep thinking of Gloria on Modern Family.

Not to mention fashion changes. Admittedly I don't live in California but generally speaking, the kind of tight pants and wide shirts that Penny was wearing in recent seasons are what I see in shops everywhere in terms of casual clothing.
