Okay, the guys go out to the movies and, for nostalgia's sake, eat dinner at the Cheesecake Factory.

The waitress is a hot girl from India who's working her way through graduate school.

Problem solved.

So many folks here with a glass half empty!

What a great dilemma for a show to have.

On that score, I think they need to be asked.  Anything these days in the press/interviews is always about Sheldon & Amy (a little about Howard & Bernadette and Hallie...).  These are the two topics that get pushed most of the time this season......

The could change the subject to lenny if they really wanted to. They have been on guest shows. It probably get cut out anyway. Cause if tptb do not give them stories, why should the press ask about something that is not happening.

IMO Raj living with Lenny is utter bullshit. So, as I see it Shamy can live together by themselves, but Lenny can't. In a previous episode Penny even seem relieved that Raj had said no, and a couple of episodes later he goes back on his words, and they accept it? Really? And... Leonard is fine with having the guy who almost slept with his now wife sleeping in the next room, listening to how they make love? I'd hope he'd grow some balls and just say no. This is almost as bad as the Randall thing. Hope they made the decision together as pathetic as it was. Besides they're married, recently married, and can't seem or want or need to be by themselves? They apparently always need a crutch or interference of some sort? It is as if they are by themselves they can't relate to each other. This is almost the LA all over again. I knew the writers were going to pussy out in one way or another in the end. I'm really disappointed.

Totally agree with you. This is utter madness to have Raj live with  Lenny.  They just got rid of Sheldon and Penny even said she can finally live alone with her husband, and now they get Raj as a border. What are the writers thinking?  I guess they feel that if you don't have conflict there is no comedy.  Also, I think you made a great point in stating that Raj nearly slept with Penny and now they are going to be roommates.  Has to be an uncomfortable situation for Leonard and most unrealistic.  Hopefully, this is only a short-term situation and not like with Sheldon when it was supposed to be for a little while and not forever but was over a year in that LA.

I'm afraid with Raj now living in 4A is going to create more conflict for Lenny. This is the type of bullshit from the writers why I wanted the show to end or even J & K leaving.

I'm sure what they're doing is based on market research.

I doubt they just pull out major themes out of thin air.

If I were Kaley or Johnny, I would be so pissed.  I'm thinking (only conjecture on my part) that JG may have been fed up and that is one of the reasons the negotiations took so long.  Kaley's aside to Johnny recently when telling an audience that things were nearly worked out ("right" I believe she said to him???) sort of points to him needing something from TPTB.  At this point, they are all (more than likely) financially set for the rest of their lives.  So, for me his biggest beef would be "what the hell is going on with my character?  A roller-coaster ride for 2 1/2 years!  WTH!"  It is more than probable that the episode taped last night and maybe even the remainder of the season, were written before things were finalized for a renewal, but I am willing to bet that JG and to a lesser extent KC had issues with the direction of their characters.....Only time will tell.

My sentiments exactly!!!

I don't think Raj living with them is a big deal. We don't know how long it is, could be one episode. I'm not seeing the issue. They have been living fine on their own all season. I don't see how Raj taking Sheldons room. Or his tryst with Penny from nearly 7 seasons ago. Is relevant. And Lenny have been a major focus all season. Tptb are not ignoring them as much as ppl think. Plot Wise they may not be the catalyst like Shamy are uneccessarily all the time. But most of the episodes they have been the centre of the show. The show sorry don't agree ^. The showrunners of this show have proven they have no plan. So this is just another random arch. Once again a vague taping report. I'll wait till it airs on tv. Whether or not Johnny and Kaley are upset over their current status in the show. Is pure speculation.

Not sure what you are on about but i guess the more an advert is shown on tv the more people will buy the product and talk about it more than products that are less advertised.

No. They actually do market research and focus groups with viewers, likely or potential viewers, etc.

That's pretty standard in the industry.

I mean, after the pilot I'm sure focus groups said things like "WHY would two physicists at Cal Tech have to donate sperm for money?!?!"

By the quotes from TPTB, and past history, they write it as they go.  The Howardette pregnancy was dropped in during a rewrite.  When the script was taken to Lorre, he said "Why not?".  During some of the early seasons market research would have gotten Sheldon and Penny together, which never happened.  None of that sounds like market research.

The selling of sperm was in the first, AND second pilot.  So if a focus group did make that comments, it didn't seem to make a difference to them in the second pilot.

And how about writing a good story? How about not rehashing old plots? How about not committing character assassination? The way they are going these writers are serial (character) killers.

I'm sure Johnny is concerned about his place in the show, but I doubt his main concern is keeping Lenny on the straight and narrow.  He's been a victim of Leonard's marginalization, both as an individual character and as half of Lenny.  In the past, I could understand his passion for Lenny as it elevated him to a status as romanitc lead and put him on par with Jim.  Now, the show has seen fit to make Sheldon both comedic and romantic lead, so what has Lenny been doing for Johnny lately?

That ship never got out of drydock. It was NEVER a possibility (except in a Shenny shipper forum :))

Has nothing to do with sex drive.  Shamy has become the show's focus, so therefore Sheldon has usurped Leonard as romantic lead.  Yes, it's as ridiculous as it sounds.

I don't see how sheldon teasing amy with sexual innuendo and not follow through make him romantic. It's just plain mean. Nothing romantic about it. Sorry.

Before a second take of the argument between sheldon and raj in 4A Kunal was screwing with Jim to get him to laugh. He feigned throwing the book at him and when that didnt work he silently mouthed "F-ck You!" while pointing at his face. This got Kim to stifle a laugh just as they were telling everyone quiet on the set and were about to shoot the scene. Jim looked away from Raj for a second but got his composure back.

One of the audience members was asked between takes to recite the Rock Paper Scissors Spock thing. The guy stumbled through it and this caught the eye of some of the cast as the guy suffered through it. He actually managed to nail it to the applause of everyone, and Kayley came up and told the guy "that Spock thing was awesome good job!"..THIS caused Johnny to laugh out loud and say "Really, that Spock "thing"?? " Johnny clearly knew what the Spock game was and Kayley looked a little embarrassed as she replied "I dont know whatever, I heard "Spock" so..."

Oooooh I love little personal spoilers like this! Thanks so much

Beverly was pretty amused to be dissecting the Raj roommate revelation and how in her opinion it affected Sheldon, Amy, Leonard and Penny. She didnt single out Penny and told Sheldon it was "interesting how Leonard and Penny introduced a new roommate.

During the Skype with Leonard Beverly states her mind to Leonard and meets resistance from him initially. She then brings up Randall and reminds Leonard that HE was the one who had reservations about that issue, and reminded him that it was Penny who wanted Randall to move in (and in hearing this Penny butts into the convo and defends that decision because Randall was family). But that Skype was all about Beverly vs. Leonard, and she won that battle in the end because Leonard stopped in his tracks...

Thank you for the clarification :)

Romance...to woo, to court, to bestow attention and/or gifts in order to win you true loves heart.

Sexual innuendo is a completely different thing...there is only one goal.
