[Spoilers] Discussion: Season 10

Doing some research into online petitions, thinking of starting one to encourage Kaley and Johnny NOT to sign a new contract without a guarantee of fair and equal treatment and screen time with Shamy for Lenny. Probably make no difference but it would make me feel better and them know how we feel about the current show

Hmm Raj trying to find out why they dumped him and possibly why he fails at relationships? Interesting, could this be the light bulb moment for Raj that some of us have been calling for a long time? I guess the chances are very high that they tell him why and he just brushes it off, but this could be the 'key' moment for his character after 10 seasons.

Low expectations, low expectations, low expectations...

I'm curious about that too. Also I wonder who those "girlfriends" are. I guess Emily and Claire might be a given, I don't know if he interviewed somebody else, as Isabella or other people we haven't seen on screen. I don't have high expectations either, but at least it's a start, much better than seeing him jumping from a woman to another without anything ever changes.

I get it money. But let's be honest guys. Do we really beleive tptb with the current writers. Can drag out three more seasons? It's so inconsistent these days. I get it's more about quantity then quality these days. But this unorganic drama. Repeated Cannon. Replacing Early Cannon with look at the new me Cannon. Paying your two leads a million an episode. Then relegating their characters to supporting roles. Look I still love the show, and I've generally enjoyed season 10. But I just cannot stand this tiresome drama anymore, this inconsistent writing. Lenny were the reason I started watching regularly. So where do I sign the petition for Jaley to leave.

Yeah, a major plus point is it sounds like none of them are going to get back with him. We will have to see how it plays out but it sounds like they are just there to give him a bit of a life lesson as to how he made them feel and why ultimately he can't keep a relationship going.

It all comes down to if he takes it on board and with that you just never know with him.

I guess it depends on viewpoints/opinions. I still really love the show and don't think it's declining in quality. I didn't care for a few episodes in season 8 and a couple in the back half of season 9 but I've really enjoyed this season and look forward to new episodes. I love all the characters and would be pleased to see them remain on screen for a few more seasons. I would hate for Johnny and Kaley to leave so I won't be signing any petitions! I'm sure if they were unhappy, they'd do something about it themselves.

The following is from kerrycec03:

Title The Emotion Detection Automation

....

Sheldon uses a machine to read peoples emotions better. Uses it on Lenny who are fighting because Penny's Dad asked her to help her bro get an interview, didn't check with Leonard

Sheldon gets insulted they make fun of his machine and ...

Wait... so now Sheldon is a Scientologist? with his own e-meter?

And why does Penny have to check with Leonard to get a job interview for her brother? This just doesn't make sense.

Because she invited her brother to stay in 4A (it's added info you can find in the lenny thread)

Does this mean we might see Penny's brother again? Maybe it's just me but I didn't know what to make of him in season opener to be honest, either the storyline/dialogue was just a bad one in terms of introducing his character or the casting just felt off?

If it's the same actor I wouldn't mind seeing him one more time in a storyline (they could tweak his character slightly), I think I would know for sure then.

Well, so much for hoping that the relationship agreement meant more thought would be given to Lenny. Flip tables, my Lenny friends. I will hold your coats for now until I read the full TR (thanks, Kerry, and I hope you had a lovely time!). After I read the TR, I might flip tables with you.

on the upside: Are they trying to fix Raj? I agree with Jonny that it's best to keep expectations low, but the mere fact that this doesn't seem like a Raj's Harem story is...sort of encouraging? Maybe?

and merciful heavens, we have a mention of a father for Amy! And here I was thinking she had sprung, fully-formed and garbed from head to toe in polyester and wool, from her mother's brow. Goodness me.

well, the writers give and they take away, I suppose.

Short answer: No. And no.

Longer answer: Of course he's not a Scientologist, wtf?? And the e-meter doesn't detect emotions so it would be useless to what Sheldon is trying to achieve. It's some other sort of device. Maybe something like this:

Apparently it's not just about a job but also about her brother moving in with them. (Kerry made some additional posts in the Lenny thread.)

LOL I just spat my Pepsi Max out laughing. :icon_cheesygrin:

I hope they explore it further and we know more, if not at least we got something to reference.

Yeah I got my hopes for Isabella and it came to nothing, fingers crossed something comes out of this one. Good to see him away from the Howardette new baby storyline for a week as well.

Yeah, here it goes my theory she was a test tube baby! But, at least we now know her father exists\existed,  now we can start to make up theories about who he is. It's a glorious day for Amy! LOL!

I am not too familiar with the Scientology stuff, but from what I saw, that's basically what an e-meter does, if it really does anything at all. It reads responses to questions.

The e-meter doesn't really do that much - even according to Scientology themselves. It's used in auditing sessions that seem more comparable with taking a lie detector test and the description doesn't sound like that at all. You can't point an e-meter at someone to determine their emotions. That is really not how any of that works.

Would you feel the same if Shamy and Lenny storylines were reversed? Shamy standing in the kitchen.

No matter what the content of a taping report or a spoiler is, and no matter if we like these contents or not, let me say a big thank you to all the wonderful people who provide us with taping reports or spoilers. In this case @kerrycec03. :shy:

We mustn't take them for granted, and especially the full taping reports are certainly a lot of work. So again...thank you! :shy:

Yeah, Johnny and Kaley must be devastated, earning $1 million for a few hours of work. I'm sure thy're having the worst time of their life right now.

I'm sure Kaley was thinking of the money in the middle of her divorce. Money doesn't cure everything.
