[Spoilers] Discussion: Season 10

Recommended Posts

While editing or which take if a scene is used can effect the way a story plays it can't effect the basic story which in the case if the last three tapings has sucked.
Making an argument "play better" dosent make it not be an argument for example and it isn't the particular lines in most cases people are unhappy with as much as it is the story they have chosen to tell.

And I basically agree with what you've said here, JE7. I've just watched the previews and boy did both Penny and Leonard suck the life out of me with their interaction ( Leonard was just as gloomy with Sheldon) and Penny was way out of line throwing it out there about her problem with him but then refusing to talk about it (why bring it up?). And the old "maybe I'll take Amy instead!" Tactic. Sadly I've experienced this very scene first hand more times than I'd prefer but that's more between the 20-25 years mark of the marriage, not the two.

The whole thing has that whole mid S7 NCIS disaster feel to it but without the eventual talk and even more depressing.

But when it all comes down to it, from my perspective I think both sides of the fence on this thread have overdone it but if that's what needs to continue so be it. I'm not one for arguments with no possible resolution. I'm more a drop my opinion in for consideration then get the hell outa there kinda guy.

I agree, it was pretty hard to watch, but knowing they make up in the end makes me feel better. And the one thing you mentioned is really one of my least favorite about her: Moping around and then refusing to talk about it, because that's not helping anyone. I like that Leonard didn't just chicken out.

Yeah but making up doesn't mean the problem doesn't still exist. It just means you want to go to bed happy and wake up happy. Trust me from experience. They need a good talk and some real solutions worked out in the next few weeks.

i am confused. Correct me If I am wrong since 10x01-10x12. Lenny seemed happily married. Out of the blue Penny is like ehh you take me for Granted. Ehh be romantic! Okay I well. Penny: Ehh drop it??!! Leonard: Then why did you bring it up? Are they over simplifying things here? It feels like typical unorganic drama they create with Lenny at this point of the season. And just when you think they are going to drive it all off the edge off a cliff. They pull the brakes, and slowly reverse. Like nothing ever happened. I am getting too old for this show LOL.

@Kerrycec03, @CaffeineBuzz  I commend you both for your comments.  The sneak peeks match really well with your explanations on how the episode appeared to you.   Thanks.

But isn't the relationship agreement a real solution? Given that this is what they both decided to do, and they don't seem to have any issues concerning "not trying anymore" in the next episodes, I'm assuming it works for them. :dontknow:

Well the RA is not even mentioned in the next episode. So we can't tell for sure it helped their relationship. Considering Penny kept the Randall thing behind his back. Then next taping Penny is still bitching about her life.

I guess what really bugs me are the people who refuse to accept what is.

TR comes from poster Bob "Leonard didn't use a coaster and put a ring in the coffee table and penny got mad and beat him with a baseball bat" some will say "TR are vague we have to wait and see", Mayim post a pic of penny being taken away in handcuffs and an evidence bag with a bloody bat their response "that just her opinion maybe penny slipped and the bat hit Leonard maybe Bob can give more detail?" Bob says yep penny got mad and beat Leonard their response "it could be an accident we will just have to see how it plays", and of course someone else says Leonard deserved it for not using a coaster, how is penny supposed to put up with that

After a certain point it just gets ridiculous and annoying

I appreciate this a lot!!! Didn't sugar coat anything and as I noted the RA which many got bent out of shape about is the mild part and the happier Lenny. The sneak peeks give you a glimpes of whats in store

Or, it's a one off joke to get more Sheldon time in the episode.  Either way, for me, it's bullshit.

This has been what I've been worried about since you DM me on twitter that night.  I trusted you on this, and you nailed it.

They don't have to mention the relationship agreement in order to use it.

I refuse to believe that until there's proof they got rid of it.

Man the RA is a throwaway gag. They don't need it. They would only used it if either wanted to get their way. Like last season Penny getting her own way in the Roommate Agreement. In any respect seems the RA is the happiest part of the episode.

This is what I believe what happened with tomorrow's episode:

Chuck- There no plot for Sheldon in this episode

Steve- Well we really need to write something with Lenny and he doesn't fit into the spa storyline.

Chuck- Have Lenny have a fight and have Amy go to the spa instead. Maybe have Leonard and Sheldon come later and have him reconcile Lenny.

Steve- How?

Chuck- Have Sheldon write a Relationship Agreement for them.

Steve- I'm not sure. Lenny has always made fun of that. Fans might not be happy.

Chuck- Just write it in on this episode. We can forget about it in the future. The audience won't remember.

Steve- I'm not sure Chuck.

Chuck-  just do it. Do you want to go back and write that teen age crap you did on Nickleodeon?

Steve-  Please no. I 'll fix it up however you want. Consider it done.

I don't know. They clearly signed it, so it's a thing. Why would I believe they don't actually use it?

That's as if I would refuse to believe they got engaged in episode 7.23, even though Leonard put the ring on her finger. For my part, I'll believe they use it until they tell me otherwise. And yes, I know you won't.

Isn't that a little disrespectful?

Not any less disrespectful than having Lenny signing a RA when it was canon that they made fun of it. then expecting the audience to believe they were getting relationship guidance from Sheldon.

Well, there's no proof they've actually used it.  Drawing it up, isn't the same as using it.

So in that case, Amy is still engaged to Fasil, and any number of other one and done things the show has used.

No.  It's his opinion.

I can't even remember how many times I've made fun of something and ended up using it.

It's kinda funny how you can basically take a shit on someone's work, but at the same time, you can't say the tiniest thing that might offend another poster. That's a really weird board policy.

Lennys not real life though. You expect the show to show continuity. But it's the WOAT in terms of that.
