Lennys not real life though. You expect the show to show continuity. But it's the WOAT in terms of that.

Exactly, so why do you expect Lenny to make realistic choices that actually make sense for their marriage?

It's kinda funny how you can basically take a shit on someone's work, but at the same time, you can't say the tiniest thing that might offend another poster. That's a really weird board policy.

Actually, no it's not.  We generally don't allow personal attacks or critiques about how or what people post, on the board.  We want discussion about the show, not about other posters.  That means, we allow critical posts about the writing and performances on the show, but generally don't allow personal attacks toward the actors and/or writers.    It sounds as if you would prohibit any kind of critique about the show or the performances, because that would be taking a shit on their work.

Here's an example, a while back, we had people describing various writers in derogatory terms (they were being called racists), based on what was in the show.  But that isn't allowed.   You could say the writing portrayed the character(s) as being racist.  But,  no one is allowed to call the writers racist, without some kind of proof.

It's okay to think it's crap, but implying that there would be such a conversation between Chuck and Steve is going a little too far IMO.

Because the made the realistic choice to get married?  Leonard made the realistic choice to got to the North Sea,  etc, etc, etc.  So why not realistic choices for other things?

They also made the unrealistic choice to live in two seperate apartments for years, paying two rents. They made the unrealistic choice to get married a second time, even though they were married already. They made the unrealistic choice to live with Sheldon, even though they could've just moved across the hall. The list goes on and on. I just don't think you can always expect them to make the most realistic choices.

Not any less disrespectful than having Lenny signing a RA when it was canon that they made fun of it. then expecting the audience to believe they were getting relationship guidance from Sheldon.

Bullseye!

As does the list of realistic choices go on and on.

And I find it better if they do.

And the unrealistic choice to sign a RA. As to getting married a second time it is common for couples to renew their vows. It was probably more unrealistic to get married the first time.

Me too. But the chances of them doing that is kind of low, so I prepare myself for that.

Correct. I don't think any real life couple would do that, but since this is just a TV show, it does happen.

So?  I don't.  I expect better from the writers, and when I don't get what I think is better, I point it out.

Congrats to Jim and TBBT !! :D

And he didn't bother to show up. Too bad he showed up on tomorrow's new episode.

Yes, because showing up at work makes you such a bad person.

I was joking but I never said he was a bad person. My comment was more directed that he didn't show up at the People's  Choice awards on CBS

  Lots of posts to skim.:flood:

It almost seems like now that H/B are parents and Howard needs to become a responsible dad the H/B issues suddenly got transferred over to L/P. It was Howard that sat around in his undies and played video games while Bernadette complained he was needing to grow up. Leonard and Penny don't get to be themselves anymore?

I think these writers just have a limited toolkit they have certain types of jokes they like to use and shift them around from character to character which is why cannon seems to both repeat itself and also be thrown out the window.

Can't use those jokes with Howardette anymore? Use them with Lenny so what if it doesn't match their characters it's "funny" so use it

Indeed congratulations to the show and I am disappointed for Kaley she should have won in my opinion

Don't see how she could have won. With 3-4 minutes per episode these days. she is just a supporting actress on the Sheldon Cooper Show.
