Well last episode we had hen  pecked Sheldon taking an interest in other people. This Sheldon is alien to us. Not in the spirit of SG-1 but still alien.

I like this Sheldon and I don't think he is hen-pecked.

If Sheldon is Sheldon, he is at best , called an inconsiderate ass, and at worst a monster/villain. On the other hand, if Sheldon makes attempts to be nice or caring or considerate, he is suddenly "alien" and OOC. So basically Sheldon can't win either way, can he ?

As for Sheldon getting less screentime, I would  love if, Sheldon has more of a supporting / background  role because I think historically, Jim Parsons can be quite funny as an observer, to other characters' drama/comedy like in The Agreement Dissection with Amy and Penny.

But since I never  disliked Sheldon or Amy,  i think i would still enjoy the show if Sheldon , Amy or Shamy always get more screen time, lol.

It could help his career.  Definitely Amy influenced.

What exactly do you people  want from Sheldon ?? If Sheldon is Sheldon, he is an at best an inconsiderate ass, and at worst a monster/villain. "you people"?

I'm just enjoying the ride.  Actually I fully expect in TV land the fortune teller will be proved right.

That's not stated, all he says is that he says that he is trying to take more interest in other people.

I'm anticipating future events and why else would he take interest in other people if not Amy influence?

As for  the fortune teller,  I don't think that was related to this particular episode. I doubt if the writers even remember that.  If the fortune teller is proved right or not, I guess we will have to see when the show ends, this May or next year (if renewed).

Sure, time will tell. I speculate/anticipate.

They've been allowed before. This is a spoiler discussion.

Nope... Not from SpoilerTV...the Spoiler TV site tends to take other publications works/pictures and brand them as their own, they also tend to be lax in appropriately crediting the original source and often fail to provide links back to the original source.

The original article/picture from Entertainment Weekly was posted on this thread by @luminous this past Thursday.

What I want is a non inconsistent Sheldon. I'm sorry it's not critiquing the guy no matter what he does. It's just because he's become self aware. You would expect his behaviour to be a bit more consistent now. But it's not. But yeah Sheldon getting isint getting less screen time Haha. Lack of balance is the major issue in the show for me ATM.

I suggest you read our rules Shelldon.    Due to copyright consideration, material must come from the originating site.  As Vonmar pointed out, it was already posted, with proper attribution, by another member.   I also suggest you read the rules as they also prohibit attacks on other members and or name calling.

It clearly lists the source as EW though......like it's pretty hard to miss.

You had no problem with copyright consideration when SpoilerTV was linked for the Sheldon Prequel in development.

This new Sheldon seems fake to me. Looks like Sheldon but doesn't really appear to be Sheldon (to me).

The fact that people change is not fake at all.

It's not the change. Sheldon wants to be a arrogant jackass fine. He wants to be courteous to others fine. But it's hard to rely on it. When the writing of his character is so inconsistent. So it's not the fact he has changed since season 4. It's the fact it's not reliable anymore.

At first you say it's not the change and in the very next sentence you say the change is not reliable. What? I really don't know what you're trying to say. What exactly is not reliable (to you)?

Each week goes by I see them introducing potential storylines that lay the groundwork for if this is indeed the last season. Then I see the ratings that are still very good in the current tv viewing climate, dominating its competition and then you hear the actors and the execs saying they want to do more seasons.

Kind of a strange feeling really, thinking they can't possibly end the show as there is just too much going for it right now and yet the storylines are preparing us for it being a major possibility.

It must be so hard for the writers, having to work in a 'we must start wrapping this up story mode' and yet there is still hope for more seasons.

Don't worry about it. The writers are used to be professionals in their field. Don't they? Well, I guess so. :icon_wink:

My biggest fear as viewer and fan is if they decided to cancel the show when the tapings left might be 5 or 6 and suddenly everything ends without those stories about each character were not wrapped nicely or they were rushed to end. It would be so unfair the memory of the show be so good for years and then had the worst ending ever. I really hope all people involved avoid this posssibility with all their strenght.

But is it dominating because the show is good or because the competition is just bad?
