After reading the last few posts it was a sad coincidence that I saw the news of Mary Tyler Moore's passing. She was one of the greatest TV comedians and along with Lucille Ball paved the way for Kaley and her generation of female entertainers.

She will be missed and remembered

In terms of seasons, for Live Action Sitcoms, three more seasons would only bring them to 13.  Currently the longest running  Live Action Sitcom is Ozzie and Harriet, which ran 14 years.  "It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia is currently in it's 12th season, but is signed through it's 15th season.

In terms of episodes, TBBT currently at 220, would have to get to 351 (which would mean a sixteenth season), to make it to third  place.    Currently Ozzie and Harriet are at 436 episodes, My Three Sons at 380 and The Danny Thomas Show/Make room for Daddy is at 351

Also in the 1950's they made 39 episodes like they did on radio figuring listeners were doing other things during the summer. In the 1960's they made about 26 episodes rerunning them all once. TBBT has 24 episodes but stretches the season to eight months with lots of reruns. I don't know if that is progress or not.

Tensor I was wondering if you had ever heard of this before.

I was thinking, assume the actors all want more money and the budget for salaries is about empty.  You could pay the actors a raise and keep the total salary budget the same for the year if you didn't use all the actors in each episode.  If you just reduced main three, each by six episodes, that would allow you to pay them another quarter million an episode and it gives the actors an addition 6 weeks off to do other things while giving them all that money still.  Kaley would probably like the extra time off to compete in her jumping.  You could stagger them so when the actor was gone there is only one gone in an episode at a time.  It would be sort of like when Kaley was hurt and missed a couple of episodes.

Has that ever been done on a series before?

At this point, considering that every episode has all seven stars in some capacity, I'd venture to guess they have a pay or play contract. They get paid whether they're in an episode or not. At minimum, they'd have a set number of episodes they have to be in (or paid for). So.... reducing the number of them in any particular episode will not save any money.

Yes but, while I agree they are probably pay or play NOW that contract ends when 10.24 wraps so TPTB can negotiate a deal for fewer episodes in any NEW deal.

Considering that Simon and Kunal got a take it or leave it offer last time I can see them reducing appearance by the supporting cast and dropping in guest stars (KRIPKE!!!) AND Stuart or Bert, I like Bert :icon_razz:

They gotta be cheaper than the regs and honestly who would REALLY miss "Ugh Raj"  and maybe they could un-fuck Stuart I mean come on, he was an art school graduate who sketched so well that it got him TWO dates with penny. NOW he is a creepy/stalker possibly dangerous sad sack!!!!!!

Ooops...... Sorry got carried away for a minute :icon_redface:

Seeing those pictures makes me cringe at the thought of getting all my ex's in the same room to talk about my inadequacies.

Seeing those pictures, especially the ones with Raj and Sheldon's  emotion detector, give me more proof why the show should end.

I was wondering what device was, so they are using thermal imaging to determine emotion, I have actually read some stuff about that.  Using thermal imagery, combined with the current lie detector sensor devices, has been postulated as a way to improve the reliability of lie detectors.  Interesting they are throwing some real science in there.

I agree about Stuart. I really liked his character when he first came on. I don't know why they made him so pathetic now.

It 's a good thing Raj has only 4 exes. If he had more, the show would reach a guiness record of guest stars amount in a single episode of a sitcom, lol!!

Promotional photos for episode 10x14 "The Emotion Detection Automation"

Now, since there's no new episode we can play Kill, Marry, F with the exes. Since there's four of them, we can make it Kill, Marry, F, Dissolve in Acid.

(if this is unacceptable, please let me know and I'll delete it, or you can :) )

Dissolve in Acid? It's too bad for someone  play with something like that...

There are many subjects about the show we can discuss here until new episode imo. It may include Cinnamon, a character not much discussed usually but please not harm any character with acid, okay? :)
