I skipped the Shamy part because I like to remain unspoiled on some things so I mostly read the Lenny parts on TRs because I'm very anxious about them. And this taping proves I have a reason. WHAT THE HELL? I don't get it. The writers made efforts all these seasons, especially 1-7, to build this incredibly cute couple and they just decide to throw it down the drain? To me it now seems intentional, they're trying to kill Lenny (the relationahip not the characters). And again I think when it airs I will be mostly angry at Penny. She has a right to have a good time with a friend but to the point she tells him things she doesn't tell her (usually very supportive) husband?! and ignores her husband and his feelings, not even noticing where he is? Ugh! It seems like in this and previous episodes she doesn't want to be with him, like she is trying to push him away, even if not conciously. You know what? If the writers have decided she doesn't want to be with him than fine, make her leave. Leonard deserves better. I'm happy for him that he has Howard and Bernadette. Knowing the characters it's hard for me to believe that's what she wants but I'm not even sure they are the same characters anymore, especially Penny. Maybe she has been replaced by an alien spy. Ughhh. I'm so frustrated. Right know I have this incredibly strong desire to see someone, maybe Bernadette, smack some sense into Penny. Make her see how crappy her treatment of Leonard is. Yes I recognize that he did some bad things too, getting a little too comfortable, bragging about "winning" her at that Comic-Con, hiding his feelings at times. But IMO what she does is much worse and she doesn't have as much credit going for her from their past as he does, he did so much more for her. I love Lenny. I really do. But the Lenny we had, not this unrecognizable unhappy couple.  I'm willing to understand and forgive Penny's behavior if I get an explanation for it but it is now going on for 2 months with no explanation at all, not even a clue. I really can't understand the writers. Not at all. All those years establishing that they care for each other and love each other just to shrug it off as an infatuation that slowly died? Maybe they want to get headlines about "having the guts" to divorce a (and for season 1-3 THE) main couple. At least some critics will praise them if that happens, even if it's completly not suited for the characters and the story that has been established for years.

I like the song but it pinches me thinking of Raj and Penny happily hanging out while Leonard is left out to the sounds of "I can't see me loving nobody but you for all my life". I know that Rj is not presented as a romantic option for Penny but still...Feels like the writers are not just trying to ruin Lenny but they also want to rub that in hard.

• Leonard loses Cinnamon (I thought it was long gone)
• Leonard runs into Alex and spends more time at work
• Leonard works on a scifi project with Clair
• Leonard starts hanging out in Sheldon's storage locker of discarded stuff that his OCD won't let him trash.

What I get from the report is that they're really trying to nail the fact that Raj is, as RJ1013 said earlier, no romantic threat and more like a female friend to her than anything else. Leonard's comment about how they bought matching floral shirts kind of confirms that too, and I'm glad he trusts her with Raj. Of course this is heavily exaggerated for comedic purposes, but I don't think there was anything mean-spirited and I doubt that's what we're gonna see for the rest of the season. Now she has that roommate she can totally relate to and do all the things she simply can't do with Leonard. That must be exciting. But that doesn't mean she values the things she does with Leonard any less or loves him less or anything like that. It's just a whole new experience for her.

Not a betting man but I would put money if I was on them having a major showdown at some point this season possibly in the finale. Penny once again seems to be the bigger problem here, not saying Leonard hasn't had his moments either the guy can lash out with venom just as good as anybody (see the comments about Randall for example). They are such weird and silly issues and it's clearly not a 'This is the issue, now how do we fix it?' sort of situation here should they actually sit down and have an honest and frank discussion.

Still don't see a split on the cards but I can understand why some are thinking that for sure.

First of all, thank you so much for that detailed report and I hope you had tons of fun! 

I feared they would handle this in the worst possible way and shocker, they did. It's just lovely that Penny treats her husband like an afterthought. Just what I like to see.

If it was isolated I would be fine with it. But put it in the context of the previous two months and you get the picture of a marriage in trouble. I'm not saying they will split for sure but there is clearly an intention behind it. I don't think Raj is a threat, it just adds to the general picture. About a month ago I would say the odds for them splitting are very low, now I think it's around 50% and if it happens it will probably be in the season finale. I hope that what I thought, up to a month ago, would probably happen will eventually be it: they will reveal the true source of all this tension and unhappiness and Leonard and Penny will adress it properly, together (even if it's more about Penny than Lenny) and then things will take a turn for the better. But I'm really unsure now, this has been going on for WAY too long.

Yeah...some will probably say he did the same in "The Romance Recalibration" but what she does here sounds much worse.

I like all the episodes of season ten so far. I don't feel like their marriage is in trouble at all.

But isn't sad that Leonard has no idea of who Penny works with after 2.5 years at her job? Or that he feels more left out because of Raj than having an interest in what Penny's interested in?

Although  Penny is saying good bye to the dog instead of Leonard , sounds like such a predictable joke .

And how is it possible that Leonard doesn't know anyone from Penny's work or any gossip ? I tell my bf about some of my work friends all the time, and even some of the gossip lol.  What do Leonard and Penny  even talk about ? Sounds like they are just trying too hard to create conflicts for the sake of Raj. It sounds harmless, but it's not anything new.

Raj and Penny? Actually they make a better couple than Leonard and Penny; although it makes a difference which Raj we are talking about. There seem to be at least two Raj personalities. There is the sensitive nurturing Raj and the ass Raj.

There are also two or more Penny's. Dumb ass Penny, den Mother Penny, sporty Penny....

It's going to get worst & worst because I now think that the writers are clearly writing lenny bad on purpose to diminish and  destroy what they created, for what reason I haven't got the foggiest. I'm guessing the agenda is for fans to give up on them or simply make them don't care anymore. So when they break them up, tptb hope they wouldn't be much of an uproar as all they do is fight which is not good for any relationship and the casuals will be like it's probably for the best. Echoing all the fighting in the 2nd half of the season as the major reason.

The reason why I think lenny's marriage is in big trouble is LACK OF COMMUNICATION.  Good communication skills is the lifeblood of a successful marriage, when partners stop talking at a deep level, their relationship slowly dies. Marriage will only be as good as a couple's communication.To build a strong marriage you have to make an active effort which i don't see lenny doing nowadays. Lenny can't even discuss household management without fighting and agreeing to let Raj move in without thinking of what it might do to their marriage, it's like lenny have become trained to think that "talking" will lead to conflict and disconnection, so they just go with the flow and agree without proper discussions as to not cause arguments and at the same time not thinking about the consequences their actions might cause at a later time. Hence the lack of communication. They don't seem to share ideas and feelings the majority of the times anymore and kind of  deflecting their problems by allowing others to fill the gap that can only be a temporary solution, surely. Sheldon, now Raj. This can cause negative things to happen which provokes anxieties, leading to fearing the worst, as in Leonard case and to an extend Penny too. If this continues as it has in the 2nd half of S10, trust becomes lower and they will become suspicious and defensive and just delaying the inevitable. It's like they feel it's neither fun nor safe to engage in conversation. So they stop talking. Hell they don't even ask open ended questions anymore, just close questions so not to have a conversation. It's a pity.
