During that whole arc, to me Raj was acting more like a jealous boyfriend and not a brother. TBH, it felt a little disgusting. But Raj poked his nose into the Priya /Leonard relationship countless times! Yeah based on the precedence set by Raj who constantly interfered in Leonard and Priyas relationship. It seems appropriate Raj would tell Penny Priya was going back to India. Imo he diddnt because of his own selfish needs. Sharing that information would of diminished Penny's buzz. He withheld that particular information. Because he saw his chance to get into Penny's pants. Knowing in normal circumstancess he wouldent stand a shot. If he was a decent human being. He would of disclosed. But his actions were selfish and asinine. Leonard had a right based on the bro code. But this is not How I met your mother :D. As it is, shows treated it nothing more then a gag. A joke. I do agree that they are putting Lenny with Raj. Because they love to see Leonard squirm. Hopefully it Doesent last too long. I find Leonard squirming (word of the day apparently) hilarious. Sheldon was malicious then. Just like he was In the Property Division episode this season. Although I found his behaviour in that episode more outrageous and inappropriate then I did in Season 7.

I'm sure when skyping her parents. She told them what they wanted to hear.

That maybe true in India but in Pasadena California USA she is an adult and can make her own decisions and Raj has no say in the matter, honor killings are part of indian culture to does that mean it would have been ok for him to kill her for dishonoring the family by dating a white non hindu? This isnt india and here Raj gets no say in what or who his adult sister chose to do Edited March 20, 2017 by JE7

Priya is far more grown-up and in fact is superior to Raj in every respect except intellectual achievement. Their parents are not shown as fools so would surely realise this. hokie3457
Regardless of Raj's maturity (or in his case, lack thereof....) there is the "tradition" of the brother looking after his sister, especially when both are located far from home. I think in the case of TBBT, it was another example of going for a cheap laugh at the expense of reality. Here Priya was much more mature, more "worldly" and aware of things than Raj. That their parents suggested that Raj should look out for her just plays into that stereotype, ridiculous in this day and age, made even more so in this case. Again, going for the easiest laugh..... I am reminded of stories of my mum and aunts going to the movies as girls and taking my uncle with them - for, as they put it, 'scarecrow value'. Some pipsqueak tried to harass my mum and aunts. The girls gave him a good ticking-off in chaste Kannada and English (neither of which the would-be harasser understood) and said scornfully to their big buff brother 'fat lot of use you were, scarecrow'. my uncle has never gone to the movies with his sisters since. Fifty years and counting. (obviously this is not to minimise harassment, or even the actual role that is expected of many big brothers in India and elsewhere. Just reminded of my uncle, still incredibly embarrassed by his sisters all those years later. And his indignant sisters.) was raj actually told he was responsible for priya? I don't remember. If he wasn't then I don't know if we can say 'indian brothers be like...'. 1 billion Indians, after all. At least 1 billion ways of BEING Indian. Tensor
No, i wouldn't If they weren't close, CBS wouldn't have announced the renewal.
Jonny
Just speculation but could them announcing it be used as a way to put pressure on Mayim and Melissa to take the offer they have been offered? Like this show is happening for two more seasons whether you are there or not? Still won't be content until I know everyone is on board with this officially. Jonny
'Expected to sign' is the term used, which could have come from any source or just speculation. But it's clear that it's coming back for two seasons, i'm just going to hold off popping the champagne corks until I know everyone is back that's all. No Mayim or Melissa means I am probably done, so I need to know.

Shelldon
Unless Mayim/Melissa go on a drug rampage like Sheen, they're signed in. Show could not rationally write out Bernadette/Amy at all without really ruining the mood and years of development. That would be the most massive writing hurdle in sitcom history, because they can't just replace those two with a random billionaire. I think it's fair to suggest waiting until it's official that they are all back. I do think they will be back as well, but I want to see it confirmed that's all.
