(Incidentally, it was a bit OOC for Penny not to realise that, since no-one else turned up to Bert's party, he couldn't really be in touch with what "everyone" on the CalTech faculty thought about their colleagues.)

   This scene is one of my favorites of the season.  She is so enthusiastic to find out about her husband.  She tells Bert to "tell me about Leonard".  And you are correct @JohnPhD, she does "light up the screen"!

That's a shame really.   You know, it's funny.  In season eight and nine, I also kinda lost that urge, as there were fewer good stories (or any stories at all, for that matter.)  As this year has progressed, and my enjoyment of the show has decreased, writing about it seems to be the only way to keep my enjoyment going.

A judge recently ruled in their favour, apparently.  I'm no expert on US copyright law, but I'd imagine the worst that can happen in a copyright dispute is that they'd have to pay to use it if performing rights are included in the original publication arrangement.

Everyone is in same ship, as they deserve the best chances about everything. Like Leonard and Penny. Sheldon and Amy. Bernardette and Howard . And Raj.

Great response to a great post (@hokie3457). I think the show is great when it goes to these places. "The seperation Oscilliation" is, to me, a good example. Although the resolution was too quick and short (I'll forgive that because they only have 18-20 minutes), it showed Lenny's feelings of inferiority: Penny has what is usually considered a beatiful body and Leonard what is usually considered a beatiful mind. Leonard lacks what Penny has and Penny lacks what Leonard has (this is a rather shallow description but these are their most prominent characteristics that are the basis of others' opinions on them) and they feel inferior and undeserving of the other because of that. This hurts their relationship and makes them unhappy. They realize that decide they should stop feeling this way and be enjoy their relationship.

It's both.  For discussion, talk about the shows ideas, not about whether the other persons opinion is valid, or whether you can believe the other person's opinions.   

For example, where "A" and "B" are from the show, a disagreements should be:, 

"I don't believe contention A is right, because of B"  or "That's fine you think A, but I think B.  

Not, "I can't believe you think A"  or  "Some people's have some really silly ideas (or opinions).

The above are stylized examples, and not to be taken as actual quotes from posters.

The fact that it was edited, and not simply removed is a good thing.  

The forum's rules can be found in the three posts in this thread.

Since both Bernie and Howard are back to work after their maternity and paternity leave, I guess that was one of those throwaway lines which stuck with the fans more than with the writers. Anyway,  in that episode, Howard didn't seem very happy with that agreement.

I wouldn't exactly call it a throwaway line since it's been a couple years and couples adjust over time. I think the core issue for Bernie was 1) that she didn't have to give up her career and 2) that Howard would pull his weight in raising the kid. So far that seems to work out pretty well. (Though it certainly helps Howard that he has Stuart and Raj as additional help lol)

The First 100 episodes Season 1-5 were absoloute gems. All of Season 6 too, baring a few exceptions. Since 7.01. It has been a load of dirt on the sole of my shoe lol. With a few gems spread in between. TBH their hasen't been a gem since Scavenger Hunt Vortex imo. They used to blend character development and humor so well. The show is starting to become very like HIMYM did late in its run. PREDICTABLE. Leonard is short, Leonard wore Penny down, Penny is the under appreciated wife. Sheldon is a child, Amy is his mother e.t.c. IT is like they are bringing the worst out of each other, the show runners that is. When we all know deep down Leonard diddn't wore Penny down, she fell in love with him, due to being differnt from other guys. And they always psychologically had this connection. Shamy is not a co parent relationship. They have a understanding due to the anomonaly of not working with anyone else. IT is like the writers forget all this, and just rest on their laurels. Complacency it screams to me. I mean it is no surprise since 7.24 Complacency has been a huge part of the writing of this show. But resorting to a Bert Plot, which I am sure well have its moments. But it suggests, they have run out of ideas. OR don't have any real clue about Leonard and Penny anymore. I am sure the audience won't be going oh boy 3 episodes to thefinalie and the plot revolves around... Bert? Who's Bert? You know it feels they are jumping the shark.

How is it inappropriate when the show has implied this from day one? They made, in my opinion, her popularity before she moved and part of the time after a running joke term for promiscuity. It's why I didn't like Penny  at first. Her memory of high fiving that creepy guy when the pregnancy test turned out negative was one example. The whole scene at the table when Penny drove Sheldon to his first real date with Amy and Amy asked Penny if she considered herself a slut is another example. Penny pointing at her boobs and saying, "drinks are on these" is another. There are tons of examples of this being implied as I saw it.

Leonard had always stood around and taken this kind of thing. That is part of who he is as I see it. From his mother, from Sheldon, from the other guys...he whines about it sometimes, but that's not standing up for himself. And if Sheldon were self aware, or communicated well, he would not be Sheldon. I don't think personally Sheldon is sexually repressed, just asexual up to a point. but I know there are those who disagree and that's okay.

If you want to think the rules are ridiculous, that's fine.  As long as you follow them when you post, you are free to think of them what you will.
