Maybe she should have a job in which she is successful because of her skills, not her looks. She got Serial Apist because of her looks. That was a terrible job. She got tips as a waitress because of her looks. She does have skills for making sells and did prepare for that job but again we are lead to believe that some of her success is due to her looks. I would like for the writers to show that she is more than just her looks and can succeed thanks to skills and devotion.

I can see Penny as an assistant to a local news reporter. That would drop her into weird/amusing situations and always has the possibility of Penny ending up on the air occasionally.

I've always envisioned Penny in a social job. She's always had a lot of empathy and I think that actually making a difference in someone's life could make her really happy.

 @veejay what I love about this gif is her brief look at what is going on (while Amy and Bernadette are loosing their minds) and her reaction is sort of "yeah, so what". Sort of like her reaction when Sheldon dropped trou behind the door trying to hide from Amy & Penny when he was getting called out for his part in their experiment on L & P.  Amy again was loosing it; Penny was "nothing to see here".  Maturity!

I've always wanted Penny to own and operate a  Yoga Studio. She loves being physically active and she likes helping people and she's smart enough to be a good business woman.

She might could work in a yoga studio... She demonstrated her business acumen with the Penny Blossom idea. Sheldon pointed out that Penny would profit only $5.19 per day.

Penny might be suited for any number of low skill jobs that benefit from a (mostly) bubbly personalty. She could work as a yoga, or workout instructor. There are a lot of tanning salons in the LA basin. Perhaps she could work the counter at a car rental agency. 

Fact is, Penny is not qualified to do much. She learned the pharmaceutical job and is doing well. So, instead of looking for another job that she thinks will lead to quick success and lot's of money, she should consider trying to identify what she wants to do and go to school or take a training program, Real estate might be good for her.

If we are going to talk real world here, it is not unusual for a big company to use some of its employees in a commercial.  What if Penny got picked for a commercial and did so well she became the face for the Company.  She could then be transferred to their PR department to perform and eventually direct their commercials, something a 'People Person' could do well at.  It would also involve limited acting and would be a compromise between her current job and acting.

To be fair she was 23 when she tried the Penny Blossoms business. I guess she is still not good at math but she grew up a lot since then. I agree running her own business would be too much for now but I also think she wouldn't work the counter at a car rental agency because that would be too boring for her. I think being a Yoga instructor or a gym trainer could fit her. Or as I said doing something that involves sales/marketing but for a good cause so she won't have to lie and won't feel bad about what she does.

Especially all the commercials you see for drugs on TV. It could be like Priceline.

That would be something Penny would be good at, advertising.  It involves sales, being up on trends and the public, a people person with great social skills should do well.  It would be great to see Penny become a high powered ad executive with an assistant.

I like Zack (apart from being funny he is my ship mate! Well, when he is not with Penny ;)) but I think he is the kind of character which is good in small doses. We might get sick of him if he is shown a lot more often. I think he shouldn't be in more than 3 episodes per season (lazt year he was in one, this year I guess it will also be one).

Bert had participated  in three episodes this season and it was something alike to Zack that I meant. Two episodes at least, I would not say more than three. Course these characters are good in small doses, they are guests characters. I would never want them on show every week or so. Neither every season as it is good the viewer miss them for enjoy more their participation. Even Bert could be only in two episodes this season that would be enough imo, even he being funny and all.
