[Spoilers] Discussion: Season 10

Who would have guessed Raj's solution would be to offer himself up as some sacrifice to save Sheldon by offering to try and date her? LOL! Tiny Bernie trying to separate them on the couch lol. Sounds like Penny is taking the lead and trying to get them organised for the task at hand, Sheldon's real best friend and have thought that for a long time.

But we never saw Mandy kiss Leonard onscreen.  I thought the Mandy/Leonard kiss was kinda mutual ?  But we will have a visual of Ramona kissing Sheldon  onscreen-he didn't return the kiss. IMO it is pointless to compare the 2 situations. 

Although it does sound like this Ramona plot  is basically Alex and Mandy plots rehashed and combined into one.  Only difference is oblivious Sheldon and he is not getting it. He has no intention to cheat though.

I absolutely loved how they pulled together to stop Ramona. It was a welcomed plot and super awesome to see them working together to protect Sheldon and Amy (while she was away).

And that maybe part of the problem. Not accusing anyone here. But I notice people project their own hang ups with Johnny and Kaley onto Lenny. Johnny and Kaley are far more sweeter, and tbh have a better relationship then Lenny lol. But some might be guilty of thinking life imitates art. To be quite honest though Jaley now, the Jaley who Johnny gave Kaley a piggie ride. Lenny used to be like that first six seasons. I don't know what shifted after 6.24. But something did with this show. TPTB started appealing to casuals more, and started to ignore their core audience. But that ship sailed. I might go on Netflix and chuck on the glory days .

I believe in the episode he said there was kissing and he stopped it.

With Ramona and Sheldon, he didn't have to stop anything because he never actually kissed her. If he had fallen into the kiss, closed his eyes, puckered up, put his hands on her in any way... then yes. That would be comparable and a huge problem. The fact that he never moved, his eyes were wide open, and he just left her there, it's obvious he didn't do anything wrong because he didn't do anything at all.

This is a very slippery slope to argue because to insinuate that someone who was forced into any physical act with another person is somehow in the wrong is straight up bullshit.

Ramona had her chance before Season 4. But this engagement seems to be emphasizing that Sheldon isn't only marrying Amy because she's his only choice. It also ties in as a humongous Nowitzki burn. Wonder if she's in Season 11 premiere too? I'm not sure with the proposal getting a yes right away because Sheldon's reasons seem linked to compensating for Amy's feelings and maybe this will finally teach Amy that Sheldon has enough loyalty for it not to matter when the ring pops up because it will happen regardless.

I, Shelldon, would like to share my thanks for this report. This has been the biggest of big Sheldon seasons. It seems like it was also the last taping report night we'll have with that chat that the site is removing.

Ok I'm gong to type up a quick repost.. I's tired af and I didn't take notes so it will be brief.
I will add dialog but it wont be accurate to the actual taping as there were lots of re-writes. The report below is just a guide on what was taped tonight. As always. DO NOT TWEET OR POST TO PRODUCERS ABOUT SPOILERS.
So we know Amy has gone off to Princeton for a few months...
Cold Open:
Sheldon is sitting in 4B skyping with Amy. They are expressing how much they miss one another. Amy comments that its weird that Sheldon wasn't there that morning to correct her grammar. Sheldon took the opportunity to start correcting her and this turned into some flirtatious back and forth. 
Cafeteria:
Leonard, Raj and Howard are sitting chatting when Sheldon enters followed by Ramona. Sheldon introduces Ramona to the gang. He explained that she had worked on the CERN project and she was at Caltech for some research. The guys offer Romana to join them and Raj leaves to grab an extra chair. I cant remember why exactly but Ramona deny's the offer and leaves to sit elsewhere asking Sheldon to accompany her which he complies.
We see Sheldon and Ramona sitting and chatting while the guys are observing and discussing what might be happening. Ramon reached out to touch Sheldon on the arm at one occasion. They were pretty certain from this point that she was after him.
4A
Penny and Bernadette are at the island speaking about Sheldon and Ramona, The guys had told them what was going on. They were voicing concerns about what Romana might be up to. It was mentioned that Ramona had got Sheldon a Toblerone. Penny commented that all Leonard had told her was that the Toblerone had nuts.
4B
Sheldon and Amy are again skyping and expressing that they miss each other, They go on to talk about their days. Sheldon openly tells Amy about Ramona and how they had lunch. Amy is visibly not impressed immediately and expresses she is not happy. Sheldon is completely oblivious to why this is a problem and goes on to explain Ramona's research and how she is a tall, blond and ex swimmer.
4A
Amy skype Penny and Bernadette, she is furious with Ramona being in the picture and expresses her anger at them saying "I asked you to do one thing and keep and etc on him". Penny and Bernadette are sorry to Amy. 
ComicBook Store:
Leonard, Howard and Raj are searching for comics and discussing the issue with Ramona, Raj suggest someone should ask out Ramona in an attempt to prove she is not interested in Sheldon romantically. Stuart enters the conversation and offers to do it. The guys immediately shoot Stuart down (in a funny way) explaining she is a doctor. Stuart replies saying doctors love him. There was some jokes thrown around here before Raj says he will do it.
Cafeteria:
Ramona is sitting alone, Raj enters and starts talking to Ramona, "So nice to see you again', Yes you to!, May I join you? Ramona replies a subtle 'No" and got back to her work while eating. Raj leaves to join Howard and Leonard. They comment on how they need to phone the guiness book of world records for the quickest shoot down ever. 
Sheldon enters and Ramona instantly waves him down for Sheldon to join her, To which he does.
 
4A
Leonard, Penny, Howard, Bernadette and Raj are at the Island preparing dinner and talking about Ramona advancing Sheldon. They cant decide if they should phone Amy and warn her or if they are overreacting. 
As they leave the island with their food to go and sit down, Sheldon enters the apartment with Ramona. The gang stops in their tracks as Sheldon re-introduces her to the gang and mentions how they have been swimming together, The gang awkwardly say hi to her. Ramona comments on how proud she was of sheldon for putting his face underwater. They all sit down and Ramona takes her place next to Shleond where Amy would normally be. Bernadette is the last to join the group and she decided to squeeze herself inbetween Ramona and Sheldon trying to separate them,
(break)
Penny asks Sheldon if he has spoken to Amy that day, He replied 'Yes this morning, And I assume we will before bed tonight". Ramona comments: "He talks about Amy all the time, I cant wait to meet her" And Sheldon responds with 'Yes, She keeps asking how long Amy is away for". Obviously there are alarm bells ringing everywhere. 
Sheldon comment on how Ramona has been working on the CERN project. Ramona continues to say she had a front row seat for it all. Sheldon offers to go get some correspondence that he has with someone that headed the CERN project and if Ramona would like to see them. Obviously she does and Sheldon stands and leave for his own apartment, to which Ramona offered to accompany him. Sheldon being oblivious to her advances comments "oh fun! just like a play date".
The gang are visibly concerned about what was happening. Penny comments about "This is the sort of thing we should be keeping an eye on!!' They all argue about who is going to go over there to keep an eye on things. Eventually the argument turns into 'Who is going to call Amy?'
4B
Sheldon and Ramona are talking in 4B when Sheldon's laptop starts to ring. He excitingly answers to find Amy on the other end. She said she just missed him and wanted to call him. He commented on the perfecting timing as he called as Ramona was there. Amy was NOT impressed by this. Sheldon went on to say how they had been swimming together. He turned the laptop to Ramona so she could say hello to Amy. Just as this happens, Amy's phone get a call form Leonard warning her of Ramona. Sheldon is not impressed with Leonard calling Amy at such a late hour and is still completely oblivious to how inappropriate Ramona being around him is. 
4A
The gang are once again discussing the situation. Raj is sure they are overreacting as someone like Ramona couldn't be pursing Sheldon Cooper. Sheldon and Ramona enter the apartment and Sheldon is apologetic about having to break up the part as Amy has told him he is tired and needs to go to bed. Ramona thanks everyone for Dinner and asks Sheldon to walk her to her car. Penny jumps up at this and offers the whole gang to walk her down to her car. 
We get a scene with the whole gang awkwardly escorting Ramona down the steps to her car, no one is talking at all, Bernadette and penny make efforts to put themselves between Sheldon and Ramona.
Ramona pulls away in her car with the gang watching. Penny tells Sheldon 'we need to talk".
4B
Penny and Sheldon on the couch - Penny is trying to explain to Sheldon about Ramona. He is in denial of her trying to pursue him romantically. He finds it impossible to happen because he is in a relationship with Amy. Penny explains that some girls don't care about that.. Sheldon is still no understanding the situation  and suggest penny and Leonard need marriage counseling. Penny goes on to try and explain in another way with whats happening. She explains that he is a limited addition toy that not everyone can have but some people will try and get it anyway. Sheldon responds with "Well that maybe true But Amy has already taken me out of the package and played with me"...
Sheldon is still not understanding the situation and leaves for bed.
Sheldon's Office
Sheldon is sitting at his desk working when Ramona enters. She asks him if she has had any lunch and he say's no he hasn't. She replies "Good because I made us sandwiches" Sheldon is happy at the gesture but then something snaps in his head. He confronts Ramona head on asking is she is hoping for some kind of romantic relationship with him. "what if I were?" she replies. Sheldon goes on to list that would pose a number of problems because they work together and more importantly, He is with Amy. As he finishes his sentence.. Roman leans in quickly and plants one on Sheldon's lips. 
Sheldon doesn't kiss her back. He just sits there Eyes open from shock. When it ended he is visibly emotionally compromised from what just happened. He just had a look of shock on his face. He stood up from his desk and said "excuse me" and left.
He left the university, Straight into a cab, Straight to the Airport, Seen buying a plane ticket, Sitting on a plane (Watching sponge bob). Arriving in NJ, Going to Princeton, In the hallway looking for Amy's apartment. 
Amy was on her couch in her robe. From the door came a familiar knock of 3 for Sheldon. Amy looked shocked that he was there and rushed fro the door. As she opened the door, We see Sheldon down on 1 knee holding a ring. He was looking up at her with a serious look on his face. 
"Will you marry me"
Amy just stood there in shock. The scene faded out before Amy could answer.
END SEASON 10.

The thing is I haven't scene the Sheldon Ramona kiss yet. I never saw the Leonard Mandy kiss and no one else has. But it seems to me IMO that Sheldon must feel  guilty for what happened to fly out to Princeton to propose.

Maybe Rajmona is endgame. Neither care about that cheating boundary wall and it adds a layer of nostalgia to the final two seasons with her as part of the main cast ;D

that said, the group's protectiveness seems like it will use cute physical comedy and at least comes from a good place? So that's nice.

It does sound awfully funny and it is nice to see the whole group working together, but there's a certain creepiness to Sheldon being treated like he's Amy dog, not only by Amy, but by everybody.  This is why, in this season dedicated to Shamy, that I don't see the writers writing their relationship particularly well.  If Amy isn't treating Sheldon like her child, she's treating him like her pet.  How can they honestly be seen as a romantic pairing with this recurring theme?  This is a far cry from the Bernie as substitute for Howard's mother, as that was sparing and pretty much disappeared once his mother died.

It's impossible to know. Leonard said he felt guilty. Sheldon? We have no way of knowing. 

We know you don't like him and you will find a way to spin what he does into negativity, but my first thought was that Sheldon needed Amy in that moment and didn't care what it took to get to her. Those emotions might make one realize that there is no reason to wait. He had the ring on him already (since he never packed a bag) and he was willing to spontaneously fly, without any of his belongings, to the other side of the country. That might be how he knew it was time.

But lets say he was guilty. Since he didn't lead her on or keep Amy a secret or kiss her back, all he has to be guilty of is his inability to read the signs and Amy just recently told him that everybody has weaknesses and that she loves him just the way he is. She knows this about him which is why she yelled at the girls for letting Ramona get close while she was gone. He's easily taken advantage of in situations like this and that's exactly what happened.

Probably because not everybody sees Amy treating Sheldon like her child or her dog. All I see is somebody who has a hard time navigating himself through social situations and he has a girlfriend who knows this to be true.

If in seasons past, Leonard was upset because the girls let Penny drink too much wine and flirt with a bunch of random guys after he warned them not to, would you think he was treating Penny like his child or dog? It's the same thing except for the fact that one is a grown up problem and the other is typically something you conquer at a much younger age. 

Sheldon is childish and is not socially up to par with people his own age. That is something Amy will always have to work with him on. It doesn't make him a dog or a child.

I'd like to say something here and honestly it is from the bottom of my heart. Dont want to get praised or something, I just need to get this out of my chest.

I am a shamy but I am mostly a tbbt fan sinceI have found the tv show in 2015 but you all probably had read my earlier posts about that so I wont repeat myself. I have been a happy shipper this season but I also suffered in past as my ship was broken up and all support I got from fandom  at the time, from shippers and non shippers which I got  from FB groups I was in , it was very important to me. Some of them became my online friends and it was really cool.

I want to say that I am really sorry and also sad for some of our beloved characters from this show  not being very cared at moment. I have said so many times that every character has potencial for so many great storylines but writers made their choices and regarding lenny and raj, they really could have made so much better and they did not. I know it is useless to say they have two more seasons for that as they season after season the results are few or litle developed. But I am a woman of hope and refuse to give up of hoping that writers can change their minds at some point.

I am here for you as fan of the show. I understand your frustrations but we can not do anything about it but writers. I myself have a few frustrations regards these characters even in not so passionate way that only a shipper does how it feels.

Hopefully we may talk about all these questions for the hiatus in a nice and suppertive way. If it depended on me we all be happy. However  it may depend on me to help you as a member of this community  if you need to be listened or to feel supported.

The problem with the boat kiss is that we never got the full picture. We never saw it and therefore there's more room for speculation and interpretation. And yes, these writers love pointing out how much better Sheldon is. Always have.

Probably the greatest post I've ever seen on here. You certainly do deserve praise for that. This is exactly how I feel. We should support each other, not pull each other down, certainly not over a TV show.

I won't ever leave this forum or stop watching, no matter how bad it get's. To be quite honest, because everyone here. TBH I woulden't even be watching this show anymore, if I never found this forum in 2013. So I agree, let's not bring other ships down. We Play for the same team
