So wait then, just to get the "rules" straight here: Person A is in a relationship with Person B. Person A is allowed to socialise alone with Person C if Person C is ... _________________________ (please fill in the blank)

I would think "colleague" is a valid category here as well as "friend" in general. That's what friends are for, you hang out with them. And these days you're also encouraged to hang out with your colleagues every once in a while. Especially universities can have a pretty casual atmosphere about that. Nothing out of the ordinary here.

On top of that Sheldon isn't keeping his friendship with Ramona a secret from Amy nor is he doing anything that is particularly scandalous with her.

So what exactly is the problem?

How many women has Sheldon hung out with?

Sounded a bit like Penny was trying to take control and get them organised. They also have the 'who is going to warn Amy?' in the dialogue, presumably Leonard got the short straw lol, or Penny just told him to do it. By the sounds of it you don't know why Leonard was the one to do it. I guess he could have offered if they were bickering over who should.

Leonard and Amy do seem to be on a bit of a better standing this season but I wouldn't say massively imo.

Another missed opportunity in the friendships realm, IMO.

Did he actually tell Amy he was going to be hanging out with Romana as much as amy wants to protect Sheldon i don't think she would be happy with this situation

It's in the TR that he's introducing them via skype. And no, Amy isn't happy because the gang warned her about Ramona and her possible intentions (it's said they're still unsure but the alarm bells are ringing). It has nothing to do with Sheldon's motives. They all know he is a bit naive and easily taken advantage of so they are worried.

Also, you didn't answer my question.

I have a little trouble buying into Sheldon hanging with Ramona and especially going into a pool. The only other time I recall him being this un-Sheldon-ish was when he was hanging with JEJ and well JEJ does the voice of Vader so he is kind of a special case. I don't think Sheldon holds Ramona in high esteem. So what gives here?

He seems to be pretty interested in her CERN work so maybe that's how she 's luring him in.

Barry Kripke is a colleague. Leslie Winkle is a colleague. Ramona? IMO I don't think so.

If Ramona is working at Caltech , even temporarily , then she would be his colleague.  And people do hang out with colleagues and even  socialize after work.  Don't see the big deal

This, totally!!!

I've been wanting to see those unusual pairing storylines for years, such as Leonard and Amy, Sheldon and Bernadette, Howard and Penny, Howard and Amy, Leonard and Bernadette, Raj and Penny, Raj and Amy, etc.

In Season 10, we've got to see some of them, and I really appreciated that. But, to me, still not enough.

And group scenes, too. I want to see the whole seven characters with Stuart, or Kripke, or Wil Wheaton, etc.

We still have two seasons, so please writers,  create some group storylines, friendship storylines, etc.

The more, the merrier. :superman:

So far every example given to me has been best friend and family friend. In this case Amy and Romana aren't best friends and in this case it seems to have happened right after Amy wented to Princeton i don't think amy would have been too happy to hear about this So i do consider this cheating our disagreement probably comes from being from different generations

But he didn't do anything wrong. They make it clear according to taping reports that he is only thinking and talking about Amy the entire time. He certainly wouldn't or didn't initiate physical contact of any kind. He didn't respond back to Ramona's unwanted advances. His only mistake is being naive. Being naive does not make you a cheater. As soon as he understood what was happening he bolted. To me Ramona is, and should be a non-issue. I see cheating as having an emotional component attached as well as any physical connection. Sheldon offered neither of these things to Ramona.

What I'm trying to say is that if your in a relationship your actions affect more people than just yourself. You have to take your partners feeling into consideration too

After ten years you can't keep playing the "naive" card

Thank you for your reminder. Here’s a small cut out of a memorable episode under above conditions. I'm pretty sure Penny's fist might well hit the writers.

It's a sitcom (world). You can play it for 30 years (if you're lucky enough to run that long).

You can. But your just not going to get the sane reaction after the 100th time

There are people who will be naive the whole life, no matter the age or the experiences they live. Does it mean they are wrong?

Nope. Many times the best people who people can interact with are them. Unfortunately many people mock them, dont respect them. However are from naives people can get the most honest feelings and interactions. Many times they are unfairly seen as someone who is not worth to take time to interact with.

I took a co-worker to world series baseball game because my husband at the time had zero interest. Am I a cheater?

There is a high possiblity Amy could be pregnant due to the thing in ep 23

Or that she could get pregnant if sex becomes a regular part of their routine. One could argue that Shamy would be the least likely to be caught up in the passion of the moment, but TBBT often relies of whats unlikely for their humor. I maintain that they won't want anybody pregnant again until the final season or closer to it, but a scare would be interesting and it can't realistically be Penny who has one. She has been having sex for a very long time and her scares have been revealed (flashback and pregnancy tests) in more than one episode. Plus, Leonard and Penny are married and would probably just more or less accept it. This is new for Amy and Sheldon, so it might be worth an episode to explore this new aspect of their relationship. Or not.

So was the co worker someone you hadn't seen in 8 years? Or have you gone swimming with this male co worker?

That is truth, amy's expressing her unhapinnes with the situation should have ringed a bell in his head, he is not unfamiliar with jealousy

I agree.  The LAST thing I want is another pregnancy, but, truth of the matter, Sheldon and Amy have talked about having children several times - even before their first date!  About having Martians, etc.

It might not be within his character to do those things, but it's within his character for him to do the things Ramona tells him to do. That's what her entire episode in S2 was about. He skipped Halo night, wasn't allowed to hang out with his friends, couldn't play paintball, etc. Nobody strips Sheldon of his schedule, hobbies, or friends... but she did. Sheldon tends to react when people take an parental, no nonsense tone with him and that's just how Ramona is.
