Pretty sure Sheldon went to Caltech though I could be way wrong. Not something I remember that well. Maybe also a college in Texas before graduate studies?

You know, I'm not in favor of adding characters, but...It would be interesting to meet Sheldon's dissertation adviser.

Does anyone know if they have the same writers every week or do they rotate them? I just watched 1022 and I thought there was wittier dialoque than for some time. Also, do certain writers specialise in certain characters? I thought the writing (as well as the acting. of course) of Bernadette was particularly good in this ep.

They write as a group.  This article from 2015 explains how it works...

Since Sheldon went to university first when he was 11, it can't have been too far away as his mother would have had to go  with him and she had a husband and two other children. If not his mother, then some other adult in loco parentis. It can't have been Meemaw as she was a widow with a farm to run. In any event, a boy of that age is unlikely to have been sent outwith reasonable travelling distance of home. We know his family home is in East Texas. The lab where Bernadette did her PhD work had to be within travelling distance of The Cheesecake Factory so it would have been a uni in or near Pasadena. How many are there ?

Just watched the episode, and okay, I am FULLY on the Howardette train. Bernadette has been terrific this season, but the last two episodes have really taken her up a level. I jumped out of my skin at Howard lurking like a creeper outside the bathroom, and I was just settling in to a loving-but-firm ticking-off of his neediness from his wife. When, all of a sudden, it took a turn. Apparently, Bernie is just as bad, if not worse! Awwww, yeah.

And we have an explanation for Surprise Baby! Career disappointment! Ahahahahahahahahah oh that is awful and wonderful all at once. In retrospect I am a little sad that it took quite this long for the show to figure out the real magic formula for Howardette: Crouching Lech, Hidden Romantic weds Sweet Little Lady with Heart of Darkness. But oh, I'm glad they finally did.

This explains a lot. Howard was the one who was pushing for a family and Bernadette was reluctant. But she said she'd think about it. When you have work troubles, it's a good time to think. :)  I wonder if they'll have another one now. Will  we see TBBT S.11 copying  British royalty 1964 ?

I don't think it matters if Leonard was snarky. Those are just throw away jokes. The Casuals seem to love. The Hard Core fans obviousley not so much. No saying they shoulden't drop them. I am just saying, personally I am just numb to them now,, they hold no impact on me. I think jokes like Penny is a slob. Which was early cannon of Penny. Is preferable to "Leonard wore me down" jokes. Especially when their is little evidence to speak of to back that up. Where in Cannon it says other wise. Penny was the one who proposed. As I remember that scene correctly. Leonard made Penny grovel :icon_cheesygrin:. So you know Leonard wore her down? In cannon I remember the episode Proton died. Penny proposed, and Leonard was pretty funny about it. TBH the score of them proposing before the actual one 7.23. Was pretty equal. So I don't buy this whole "Leonard wore her down". If anything they both wore each other down. But they were just two crazy kids who fell in love. And they both are trying to make something ridiclous work. That is their appeal to me.

Raj like last week annoyed me, as he has a number of times this season. Yeah it's great he finally stopped living off his daddy's money, but that wasn't because of any personal growth. He basically did it because his friends told him he'd never get someone serious and keep them as long as he lived a spoiled life. He was so jealous that the others had achieved something great without him that doesn't even have anything to do with his area of expertise.

He's shown in the past jealousy and resentment for the others having success. Yet little to no motivation to putting in the work to achieve great things as well. For example making jam for the others instead of putting in hours of hard work like his coworkers had. I think it's clear that he'd done something to piss Leonard and Penny off, and because of that they couldn't wait to get him out of their apartment. They were just too nice to kick him out while he still didn't have a place to go. Would have been funny to have seen Leonard and Penny celebrating having him out of their hair. I just wonder how long it will be before even Burt tires of him and kicks him out. I can't believe I'm saying this, as I'm in no way a Sheldon fan. But Sheldon has had more growth in this season and more mature than Raj.

UPDATE ON THE LENNY THREAD (SEASON 10):

The Lenny Season 10 thread was accidentally merged with the Season 10 discussion thread (this one) as you may have noticed. We are working on undoing this, which though not quick or easy is a fairly simple process. The forum system doesn't provide a mechanism to do this.

No posts have been lost but they are currently in the wrong place. As Sheldon said, "To paraphrase Mozart, all the subatomic particles are there, I just have to put them in the right order."

While this plan is in motion, the Season 10 discussion thread is locked just in case we need to manually move the latest posts. It's possible we will unlock this before the Lenny thread is resurrected, as there's a reasonable chance that the last couple of days' worth of Lenny posts might be stranded here.

They seem to be in a very good place with the season coming to a close.

On the sidelines? Suits me, I guess, if it makes you happy.

It's funny how Kaley's sticking out in these photos. It looks like someone photoshopped her for a meme.

She is wearing three different outfits and in the busy print blouse, her one shoulder looks weird to me.

If you notice there's a black rectangular shaped thing behind her. That's what makes it look off.

Suits you? I was just saying Lenny as a whole are in a very good place right now. Because they are.

Johnny has always been listed first.  I don't expect it to change.  What would be the point of changing it?

Jim seems to be the star of the program in the eyes of tptb. It just seems like they would want him listed first

The actors determine billing, it's written into their contracts.  The cast seems to still be great friends and I can't see them descending into an ego war over who's name comes first. It has always been Johnny, I expect it to remain the same.

I recall JP trying to get a bigger contract than the other two I believe after season 4. Bit of an ego there?

6 years ago on the advice of his lawyers/management after scoring the show's only acting awards, so sure....that happened and the show told him to take it or leave it.  He took it.  The original three have negotiated together ever since.

Yep, bit of an ego, but so what?  Actors tend to have those and that particular situation is something the other actors understand.   All actors get what the can, when they can ( or they wouldn't have pushed for their million an episode three years ago).  He tried for more money, TPTB convinced him otherwise.
