This article, by Jessica Radloff, brings more dread, than hopefulness for next season.  Although she did a good job on pressing Molaro on Lenny.

I think it's way more positive than negative.  "they bring out the best in each other...they've helped each other grow and filled needs for each other...they just make each other better and helped each other mature nicely.." He doesn't see the divorce talks as foreshadowing but as jokes they other guys make.

You say tomato. I say tomatto. :drinks:

I don't agree with it either, but that is how the showrunner thinks.  It's been obvious over the last three years, and is the reason for the dispair for many Lennys.

...which is so upsetting.  Correct me if I'm wrong Tensor, but wasn't Molaro newly a showrunner in Season 6?  That is why I had high hopes, but......Bring back Prady!!!

I think the audience knows that. No need for him to really say that. No one is getting divorced. Typical throwaway lines.

How has that worked over the last three years?

Sounds like Raj is going to continue to be unlucky in love but might get something to do with his work. Meh.

I did pick up on the phrase "right person".....

the "make each other better" portion was encouraging.  It echoes Stuart's exclamation......

Haha! I can't believe he said that.
Molaro: "Sometimes we get caught up so much in the relationships here that we forget that these are actually functioning, brilliant scientists who are really good at what they do."

NO!?   LOL

Not sure there is enough of a backstory to make him bisexual or gay. He clearly lives a metrosexual lifestyle and has a strong desire for women, that should be obvious to anyone.

So if they are going to change that they need to IMO build a story for it over some time and it would have to be handled delicately, with great respect and done right. Providing the story is well done I could get behind the idea or story.

As it stands right now it wouldn't make much sense to me if he suddenly realized he was bisexual or gay.

Depressing article, I get the impression that Molaro doesn't care either way for Lenny and is somewhat surprised to get so many questions about them, like they don't matter.  He doesn't even seem to understand how they have undermined their relationship in the show to the point that a lot of people are wondering if they are going to break up.  I'm really getting to dislike Molaro's participation in the show.

Well, I'm still here, aren't I? :girlglasses:

Well, I'm still here also, just not happy with how they've been portrayed.  What worries me is how many times have we've seen Molaro say one thing, then the show does something else?

Yep, season six was Molaro's first.  He talked about how important Lenny was to him, and how he wanted their relationship to progress.  I guess he meant only for season six and seven.

I miss sleazy creepy Howard. They emasculated him and now he is just making up the numbers.

I don't think they could have sustained creepy Howard for ten years. I did find him funny in a lot of scenes this year. I thought the baby would kill the show but I was pleasantly surprised.

In the beginning, I thought the same....Johnny & Jim in early interviews talked about the premise being about the smart guys and the pretty girl.  But as the show has gone on I keep going beck to Leonard's comment in the pilot..."our babies will be smart and beautiful".  That's not just about getting someone into your bed, it's about romance, relationships and marriage

Good point.

Well no. Ramona never made any attempt to kiss him before. Never gave any indication she would want to. I find it hard to believe.

She told Penny he was cute when she first appeared.

Sheldon no longer adheres to yearly sex. He broke the rule in 10.23.

And I know on facebook most people are guessing Amy will be pregnant. Now if the real twist is not the proposal, but that she IS pregnant, that would be a real twist to me. But I'm hoping it's not where they go with this.

From what we have seen with L/P, generating novelty going on will be harder. The premise has done a lot of work and the show has been a juggernaut, but it's creaky at s10. S11 & 12 may be creakier.

As an aside - the limited time available means growing Shamy is at the expense of L/P. That may only bother the nerd and bleached blonde fanciers but it's a real effect. It's a zero sum game. The pie doesn't get bigger.

This is why I was kind of against the renewal. I'd rather they had gone out on top. But I agree with what you said totally. Especially when the pie only lasts about 18 1/2 minutes now.

Not much was actually said, as is normal with these interviews. I don't know what you are seeing as dread. He confirmed nothing.

They need to keep working on their marriage?  When have they been shown working on it, this year?   I don't see anything in the interview, that would cause me to think the writers are going to do anything different with them next year, from what they've done in the last three years.  Unless...

Notice he doesn't deny that they may break them up, he just dances around it.  He also doesn't say anything about keeping them together.   The comment that we shouldn't read anything into it, AS FAR AS THE JOKES GO,  leaves open what may happen based on their actions.

Also notice he mentions more growth for  Howard and Bernadette.  Talks about the slow evolution for Sheldon and Amy.  What did he say about growth or evolution for Lenny...Nothing.

The more stuff I read from her the more clueless she seems about what kind of show she's covering.  She's asking questions like TBBT is a CW drama and Molaro is giving answers that contradict the notion that relationship drama is all the show is about.   Molaro clearly still wants to allow himself the slightest bit of room to find funny stories to tell rather than immediately lock everybody down in cute relationships forever.

It wishes it was a CW drama more like a Nickleodeon show. When your lead couple acts like teenagers. Molaro is just in over his head. The show is a relationship show. The killing off of the guys project proves that.

Yeah. I think if he hadn't said anything, its meaning would be the same, just nothing. That’s plain and simple advertising. :shy:
