My reply/quote option is kind of loopy lately.  Not meaning to quote anyone (although wowbagger, you are quite quotable!!!!)....

I am betting that during the experiment, Amy and Sheldon will not hit it off as they would like.  I bet that they will equally irritate each other, resulting in a return for him to 4A and her to her own apartment.

Then, later I picture them missing the time they spent so close together, even the irritations and they end up at the end of the season setting up more permanent housekeeping.....

I'm thinking the same thing.   The experiment will not be perfect, but a temporary separation will give them some time for reflection and an eventual rejoining under one roof.

I thought of other possible scenarios:

1.  Lenny have liked the separation and refuse to let things go back to status quo; resulting in Sheldon living by himself and missing Amy.

2.  Amy's apartment is condemned, forcing her to contemplate moving elsewhere, and Sheldon invites her to remain with him.

3.  The living arrangements continue past the experiment phase, where they have been able to work through their issues and their cohabitation evolves into a permanent thing over the course of the Season.   They are going away to a Flag convention.   Perhaps they come back and decide they no longer want to be separated.

I am sure whatever scenario we come up with, including a possible return to the status quo in the LA will be nothing that any of us can truly predict.   TPTB has thrown in quite a few surprises.

‘The Big Bang Theory’: Guest Star Jack McBrayer Talks Playing a ‘Sweet’ Drug Dealer

You’ve loved him in pretty much everything he’s ever done, so you will not be surprised to learn that 30 Rock alum Jack McBrayer is his typically delightful self as a new member of The Big Bang Theory universe.

In TBBT’s Season 10 premiere tonight, McBrayer guest stars as Randall, the meth-cooking and dealing older brother of Kaley Cuoco’s Penny. Viewers have been hearing about Randall and his criminal exploits for seasons, and with Penny and Leonard carrying out a second wedding ceremony for the benefit of their family and friends, Randall makes his first — and we’re pretty certain, not last — trip to Pasadena.

McBrayer, a three-time Emmy nominee for 30 Rock, talked to Yahoo TV about bringing his own sweet personality to his portrayal of a meth cook, starting his mornings with beer as a Match Game panelist, the perks of being a big-screen Smurf, and why he’s one of the few people who isn’t dreading his upcoming high school reunion.....(more)

Thanks vonmar.  I find it really interesting on guest stars' take on their experience on TBBT set.  Sounds like Jack loved it.
